00:00I hope this doesn't mess up our friendship, but if I get the box, I'm Thanos in the whole shit.
00:05I am going to be the most powerful person in every single world that I can find myself.
00:11Creatively, you're not playing a different character. You're playing you, but there's
00:16missing pieces of you in different worlds. When you structured that on script so that people could
00:24see the distinction, was that more emotionally challenging? Or was that like little physical
00:29things that you did to make sure that people would see the different person in each scenario world?
00:37Well, it's fascinating because you're essentially playing the same man
00:40shaped by entirely different life experiences, right? So yeah, I spent weeks developing some
00:47subtle psychological distinctions between the two Ryans that I was only able to do because of the
00:52brilliant writing of Blake and Jackie. And then, you know, I gave them just a slightly different
01:00gate and everybody, you know, was thrilled. But ultimately, what I was intending throughout is
01:07that your soul comes out and that is you. And life's experiences are going to push it and prod it
01:16and they're going to bend it and bend its shape and make it more reactive or more calm. But that
01:22center
01:22has been there since the universe gave birth to you. And so that's what you can see throughout with
01:32Ryan's. And it's like, for instance, Ryan 1 has not seen a lot of blockages to his intentions and to
01:40his wants in the world. He wanted to become a beautiful neuroscientist. He wanted to be successful.
01:46He wanted to have a great apartment. And then he's thrust into something he didn't plan for. He had
01:53control of his life. And so that man's going to react much sharp, much more sharply to I don't have
01:58control all of a sudden than say, Ryan 3, who never had a break and has his mechanic shop and
02:05life is
02:05hard and he's paycheck to paycheck. Now all of a sudden, where the hell am I? Okay, well, I guess
02:11I'm
02:11here now. Right? It's like the more knocks you take in life, the more you understand, okay, so the
02:18response is to roll with it. That's hopefully the lesson we learn.
