00:00Does this feel like when John Wall was a rookie?
00:02The difference to me from Wall's rookie year,
00:05and I want to pull the records because I want to be sure I'm accurate on this.
00:12When John got drafted and came to Washington,
00:16I remember where I was when the Wizards won the draft lottery.
00:19I was at Capital Lounge, RIP to a great bar.
00:22I was at Capital Lounge watching the draft lottery,
00:24and as soon as they got number one, everybody knew that that would be Wall, right?
00:28There was no debate, but that team had gone 26-56 the year before.
00:36There wasn't a lot of reason to believe, even with Wall,
00:40this team was going to be significantly better.
00:43This team this year, this Wizards team, they've tanked for three years.
00:48They didn't win 20 games over the last three years, not combined, but per season.
00:54They add Trey Young.
00:56They add Anthony Davis.
00:58Then you get the number one pick.
01:00There's the anticipation of the number one pick,
01:03but there's also the anticipation of this being a good basketball team,
01:07which makes this, to me, feel very different than it has a bad pick.
