00:00We have an atmospheric river, more specifically, a Pineapple Express headed to the southwest because the moisture is coming from
00:05the area around Hawaii, kind of getting into semantics, but I know those have become kind of internet buzzwords the
00:11last couple of years. What it actually means, though, flash flood risk. Let's dive into the details starting off future
00:17radar, then we'll take snapshot by snapshot with the timing and the rainfall totals. So we start to see this
00:22move in even early Friday morning. We have some snow in the Sierra. We have rain hitting SoCal and it's
00:28not going to be the
00:29SoCal's not hit the hardest. Unfortunately, it's going to be places like Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, where you've already
00:36been hit hard with flash flooding in the last couple of weeks. And unfortunately, we're looking at more widespread downpours
00:41Friday, but then it continues into the weekend as well. Take a look Saturday, early Saturday morning, we start to
00:47get the snow in Colorado. So I know that's something to look forward to for the ski lovers out there.
00:52And it continues Saturday, another wave moving into SoCal. So don't think that you're done just because it stops raining.
00:59There's another round that's going to hit as we head through the weekend. And then Sunday, we really move inland
01:05with the rain, the wintry mix and yes, the snow at higher elevations. So rainfall overall, not even counting Friday,
01:13Saturday night to Sunday night. Here's the totals that we're looking at. Even the one to two inches in Southern
01:17California can cause a problem. And remember just recently that we got about half an inch of rain, which is
01:23about what we get for all of October usually. And that led to some flash flooding. But we're especially concerned
01:28about these two to four inches.
01:29areas that could see up to seven inches of rain in places like Arizona. Now when it comes to the
01:34snow, it's not anything too impressive. You're going to start to see it populate here. There's the blue. We're only
01:42looking at a coding to one in Lassen Park, 48 inches for to go past. But it's something we got
01:47to start somewhere where the snow is concerned. Here's your snapshot for who has rain or snow Sunday.
01:52Bye.
