00:00I believe in international justice.
00:02I believe it's important that you don't just turn the page
00:04without people being held to account.
00:06I wish I could say that I was proud to be here, but I'm not.
00:11I did feel a sense of outrage.
00:13I'm ashamed as a woman that girls like Nadia
00:17can have their bodies sold and used as battlefields.
00:21I'm ashamed as a human being that we ignore their cries for help.
00:24It is not too late to turn things around.
00:27Values are at stake. Democracy is at stake.
00:30I think that we're facing a free speech crisis in the world today
00:33and it's extremely concerning.
00:35Does it look like from my previous cases I shy away from controversy?
00:39I don't think so.
00:40If you are a lawyer and you want to take on easier cases,
00:43you can prosecute traffic violations or something.
00:46You'd have a very high rate of success
00:47and you probably could sleep more easily at night.
00:50But that's not what drives me.
00:53I want to work on cases that I feel the most passionate about.
00:56You're not going to give up.
00:58No, it's not an option.
