00:00A while back, I was on the Ellen Show, and Ellen asked me if I would call myself a feminist,
00:05and I said, I absolutely would.
00:07You're a feminist if you go to a Jay-Z and Beyonce concert, and you're not like, mm, I feel
00:14like Beyonce should get 23% less money than Jay-Z.
00:17It's a simple notion, the right to pursue happiness. It's bestowed upon all of us by our Constitution.
00:24Every citizen of this country has the right to pursue it, and I believe it is incumbent upon us as
00:31citizens of this nation, as Americans, to bestow that right upon others, upon each other, and upon the rest of
00:39the world.
00:39We had a phrase in South Africa that was, we still use it today, which was, which means you strike
00:46a woman, you strike a rock.
00:47And that's what I grew up learning.
00:50That's a, it was kudos, man.
00:53Behind every successful man is a really astonished woman.
00:57The ones that are really smart know that women are the answer.
01:01We know that when women are empowered, they immeasurably improve the lives of everyone around them.
01:05Women deserve equal pay for equal work.
01:08We should all learn to treat each other with respect.
01:11We go to school with girls and women, we work with girls and women, and many of us will be
01:16in relationships with them.
01:18And we should treat them as equals and treat them with respect.
01:22I love feminism, but I got a button that says I'm a feminist, so I'm good.
01:26Yeah, yeah.
01:27I'm a feminist.
01:29I'm a feminist.
01:30They think there's this fuzzy middle ground.
01:32There's no fuzzy middle ground.
01:33You either believe the women are people or you don't.
01:36They think there's this fuzzy middle ground.
01:39They think there's this fuzzy middle ground.
01:39They think there's this fuzzy middle ground.
01:39They think there's this fuzzy middle ground.
01:39They think there's this fuzzy middle ground.
