00:09What's up Refinery? We're here testing out over a hundred different foundations
00:16from 16 mass brands and we've challenged Jamie here to test every single one of
00:22them and basically tell us what the best drugstore foundations are. Jamie
00:26narrowed it down to five foundations. So let's do it. Okay. Drumroll. Drumroll please.
00:32So the first one was by Almay. It's a four-in-one blemish eraser. This is a
00:38cover, it clears, it calms and controls. Oh great. I love a multitasker. It doesn't
00:43smell bad which is a plus. Yeah it has barely any scent at all. This is good for
00:48somebody with oily skin, someone who has a lot of acne. You can see this is the
00:52first layer of coverage and it's pretty amazing. It's a lot of pigment. It has a
00:56nice glow to it but there is something mattifying about it as well but it's not
01:00drying. I actually heard you maybe commenting earlier about you felt like
01:04you were getting a breakout. Yes I do feel like I'm about to break out. So we're
01:07gonna just we're gonna like prevent that. We're gonna go preventing it and we're
01:10gonna buff it on. Okay. Now your neck is a little lighter than your face. Okay. Which
01:15most people have that because our face gets exposed to everything and our neck
01:19doesn't. I'm just bringing this down that's what I love about a buffer is you
01:22can really seamlessly bring this area down. You two now can have a clear
01:28complexion with Aome. Thank you. Thank you so much. You're welcome. Maybelline's dream
01:34cushion. Dreamy. So dreamy. This is for your combination friend. It goes on super
01:40smooth and even. It's really really pigmented. And when it dries it has this
01:45nice dewy but like not too dewy and not too dry. Please clean these okay. You just a little soap.
01:52Clean them every at least at least once a week okay. Does anyone else want their
01:57makeup done? Naya. I like to call her Naya Knowles because she looks like the
02:01missing Knowles sisters. You know Beyonce, Belange and Naya. So we're gonna work with
02:07the dream cushion on you because quite honestly you're a dream. And what kind of
02:11skin do you have? I feel like I have normal to oily skin. Normal to oily. So what's nice
02:18about this is you can apply the foundation. Your skin is already glowing. This gives a
02:22nice glow. And then what you could do throughout the day you could take kind of the cleaner
02:26parts and then press in the areas that tend to get a little more oily and kind of take
02:30down the oil. I'm feeling it. You are a dream and I'm presenting you with the dream cushion. Award.
02:37L'Oreal Paris 24-hour invaluable pro matte. Oh I love the voice too. Thank you. So this is great
02:45for really oily skin. Okay. I hate to say it but sometimes too matte accentuates issues. So let's
02:52try it. I mean it literally looks just like skin. Great pigment. Yeah. Really buildable and you can see
02:59it's not as shiny as the previous. Anyone else? Valentine. So a lot of times in the winter we're a
03:06little lighter. In the summer we're a little darker right? So you can buy two foundations and you can kind
03:12of custom blend your own colors depending on your color at that time. Being in the moment is what I
03:17like to say. What I like about this is it tells you on the back that it's a semi-mat.
03:21It's medium
03:22coverage and it's air light. The texture. It kind of looks like you have combination skin. Yes. So maybe
03:32a little bit oily in the t-zone and a little dry on the cheeks. So this is perfect for
03:36you. Number four
03:37is the NYX Total Control. I have to admit I've been very excited to try this one because I've heard
03:43a
03:44lot of good things about it. You can add this to your moisturizer. You could add it to a serum.
03:49You
03:49could really add it to anything. You could add it to your ice cream sundae. Just kidding. Don't do
03:53that. What I like about this is great for like normal to dry skin. It's super moisturizing. Beautiful slip.
04:00It's about a light coverage but you could add more for medium. It builds nicely. This is the
04:05Catrice All Matte Plus Shine Control makeup. This is great for anyone who needs like a
04:11light coverage. This formula is almost kind of like a tinted moisturizer with a kick. So
04:17it comes out you can see it comes out kind of thick but then when you spread it on it
04:21really does feel more like a tinted moisturizer. Catrice. Yeah also new brand. New brand. Catrice. New
04:26brand alert. New brand alert. Doesn't smell. It's it's beautiful. I think it's great and a lot
04:31of people that maybe don't wear foundation. Okay. That are like I want to start wearing
04:36foundation. This is a great first one. It's like your training bra of foundations.
