00:00Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch made that incredible statement last year.
00:04I was so moved and I felt for the first time our federal government was acknowledging the humanity and dignity
00:10of trans people.
00:11And it felt like we were turning a corner.
00:13The current administration's revoking of these guidelines feels like we're moving backwards.
00:18It was gut-wrenching. It feels like the president doesn't appreciate any of my personal service or dedication to our
00:25country and in the defense of our people.
00:26I know six other helicopter pilots that are transgender. I know a bunch of airline pilots. I know people in
00:32the NSA, spies, military people. So we're everywhere.
00:38But this transition has been harder on me than anything I could imagine. And that's the case for so many
00:46others besides me.
00:47For that reason alone, trans people deserve something vital. They deserve your respect.
