05:32And today's news, first off, I got to start with this.

05:36I feel like I've disrespected somebody and I feel terrible about that.

05:39Last night, when I was recording the Dynamite Reaction episode, my DirecTV app and my phone

05:46cut off at a certain point and I did not even remember that there was supposed to be another

05:51match coming.

05:52The timing of the match was right at the end of the show, it was going to run long and

05:57I didn't even realize that I missed an entire match.

05:59And I feel horrible about that for two reasons.

06:02One, obviously, because I released the results to you guys and I didn't give you the full results.

06:06But more importantly, I take it very seriously that I had no idea until this week, I had

06:12the opportunity, the privilege to interview Royce Isaacs.

06:15If you haven't seen that episode, please check it out, the interview with him.

06:18But that some wrestlers have actually heard of my show and that blew my mind.

06:23And this is on Dynamite, there was a match where one of the competitors, from what I'm told,

06:33has actually heard of my show, which is pretty exciting to me.

06:35And the reason I feel terrible is they were so disrespected because I didn't get a chance

06:40to cover their match and it was the most important match of the night.

06:43And that match was for the TBS championship, Persephone defending against Queen Aminata.

06:51And I said during the show that I knew they were going to have a match and all this.

06:55And I didn't see any way Persephone was going to lose because she's in such a great position.

06:59She's a future world champion contender.

07:00And I was wrong.

07:01I admit that.

07:02I was wrong.

07:03And I missed covering Queen Aminata's TBS championship victory.

07:09What a frustrating thing for me.

07:11I'm mad at the DirecTV app for cutting me off.

07:14It's not like it's signing my service cut off.

07:16It just stopped doing it.

07:17I guess maybe it was set up to like switch to something else at some point in time or

07:20whatever.

07:21But I didn't get that last match and I was livid.

07:24I had to go back and watch the highlights today.

07:26And again, incredible match.

07:28I'm thrilled for Queen Aminata.

07:29Congratulations to her.

07:31I just feel bad.

07:31You know what I mean?

07:32You know, the ladies don't get enough respect as it is.

07:35They don't get enough screen time as it is.

07:36And then when I totally whiffed on reporting that, I felt like a schmuck.

07:40So congratulations to Queen Aminata.

07:43Incredible talent.

07:44And I'm still a huge fan of Persephone.

07:46I think Persephone is the future AEW Women's World Champion.

07:49If she's not, I'm going to be actually sad.

07:50She might be my favorite women's wrestler in the world right now, if I'm being completely

07:53honest.

07:53I just really like her skill set, her moveset.

07:56I love everything about her presentation.

08:00But I'm happy for Queen Aminata.

08:01That made this a really special episode of Dynamite.

08:04Dynamite was already a really solid episode to begin with.

08:06That was stacked top to bottom.

08:07And I heard some people kind of debating the AEW presentation.

08:12Some think it needs more storylines.

08:14Some think it is just right the way it is.

08:17Some people think it needs a happy in-between.

08:20For me, I love all the wrestling action.

08:23I do like to have a storyline in there for you here, there, in many of them, if possible.

08:29But right now, we're getting so much wrestling action.

08:32I just can't find a way to be upset about that.

08:34I really can't.

08:35I think the show is doing phenomenal presentation.

08:40The matches are second to none.

08:42And I'm not trying to be disrespectful of WWE.

08:44But right now, there is nothing that WWE is doing that wows me in the same way that the AEW

08:50product does.

08:51The AEW show is just, I don't know.

08:54I'm a wrestling fan.

08:55Don't get me wrong.

08:56I like promos.

08:57I'm a pipe bomb fan.

08:58I like Steiner Math and things like that.

09:00But I want to see wrestling, as much wrestling as possible in most cases.

09:04So that's AEW.

09:06So I don't know.

09:07For me, I think it's great that they're giving us so much wrestling action.

09:11Do we need more stories?

09:12I don't know.

09:13But if you want to do the stories so bad, you know when AEW used to do those, like, after

09:18Dynamite, they did, like, a little extension show where they kind of explained everything that was going on ahead of

09:22a pay-per-view?

09:23Do that if you have to.

09:24If you're going to keep giving me this kind of wrestling, do that and do it with pre-tapes or

09:26whatnot, and I'd be fine with that.

09:28Let's get into some other conversations for the night.

09:30Let's stay on the AEW topic.

09:32Tony Storm.

09:33At the most recent pay-per-view, at All In, or All Out, I apologize, All Out.

09:38No, it was not.

09:39It was WrestleDream.

09:40Man, my head is frazzled tonight.

09:41At WrestleDream, a few people in the audience, people in situations that clearly have, like, an online presence, were given

09:49a cassette tape or a videotape or something like that that referenced Tony Storm stuff.

09:54All, you know, Renee Paquette on commentary, all about Tony Storm.

09:58It's obvious that they're leading up to a return of Tony Storm.

10:00Now, the question is, how soon?

10:02Well, the update that we've gotten from various outlets, Wrestling Votes and F4W and all that, is that she is

10:09not returning anytime imminently, that this was done to just generate some interest, keep some things talking, that there were

10:15some conversations about deciding who was going to be her mystery attacker and things of that nature, but she is

10:21not ready to come back.

10:21We don't really know why she's out to begin with.

10:24No one really addressed that, but I'm sure at some point she will be.

10:29When she does, it's going to be one of the biggest reactions in the history of that company.

10:33I actually kind of hope, and I can't believe I'm going to say this because I was hoping somebody else

10:37would dethrone her.

10:38However, I'm kind of hoping that it's her and Mercedes for the Women's Championship, and that's her return.

10:45I really do, at least as a return feud.

10:49But for now, we're not going to see Tony Storm anytime soon.

10:52It's just not going to happen.

10:53She's not ready.

10:54But I suspect they're going to continue to do little things like this, little teases to keep her in the

10:58forefront of our thought process so that when she does come back, we're ready for that.

11:03You know what I mean?

11:04From there, we're going to talk another WrestleVotes conversation about WWE's interest in current AEW superstar Drillistico, and they have

11:11confirmed that there is indeed interest from WWE, once Drillistico becomes a free agent, that they're going to make a

11:16play for him.

11:17They do have Dragon Lee, his brother, under contract already.

11:20There's always conversation about what's going to go on with Roosh.

11:23I don't know how long his contract is for.

11:26Drillistico had injury time added to his contract, taking him through the end of December.

11:30Maybe Roosh looks at it and goes, listen, you know, both of my brothers are going to be in WWE.

11:33Maybe I want to go to WWE.

11:35Maybe not.

11:36Maybe he's happy in AEW.

11:37Maybe he likes doing, you know, the AEW stuff and then mixing CMLL and whatever else.

11:41I don't know.

11:42I don't know Roosh on a personal level.

11:43I have a tough time thinking about Roosh going to WWE anyways because the word is he's kind of difficult

11:48to work with.

11:48But Dragon Lee has been a gem.

11:50Drillistico is very similar to his brother.

11:52The two of them would be incredible.

11:54Can you imagine a faction with Drillistico, Dragon Lee, Penta, Phoenix?

11:59Like, oh my.

12:01Even throw in Rey for the last year of his career.

12:03What an incredible Lucha stable that could be.

12:06And there's actually a possibility we might actually get to see something like that happen.

12:09I actually hope it does.

12:11I really do.

12:12I think WWE has done a really good job with Dragon Lee.

12:15And I think if they continue what they're doing with him, it's going to be a huge motivation for him

12:21to want to go to WWE to try to get that same treatment that his brother's getting from them.

12:25So, Drillistico's got a lot of things to consider.

12:28But it sounds like WWE's definitely going to be one of the options he's going to have at his disposal.

12:32And the last thing for tonight, and this to me is one of the more exciting things.

12:35For the first time in wrestling history, we are going to see a head-to-head matchup between SmackDown and

12:41AEW Dynamite.

12:43It was announced last week that AEW Dynamite is going to be doing New Year's Smash.

12:49Well, New Year's Smash is going to take place also on January 1st, which is when we're going to see

12:53SmackDown.

12:54So, this will be the first time that the maximum WWE show, SmackDown or Raw, main roster show, goes head

13:00-to-head with Dynamite.

13:01Now, if I'm WWE, and I get it, that's the holiday season.

13:05And usually the talent gets off for the holiday season.

13:08I understand all of that.

13:09But there is no reason you can't give people off from the 23rd to the 31st and then come back

13:14for the first.

13:14And here is why.

13:16If I'm going head-to-head with Dynamite and you've been doing all this counter-programming for all these months,

13:20to me, it only makes sense to counter-program that Dynamite.

13:25Because it's going to be a stacked show.

13:26Or it is they're going to load that sucker up.

13:29And now that they're going head-to-head with SmackDown, SmackDown's not doing that.

13:32They're going to be taping an episode on December 28th.

13:35But, you know, they're going to be at the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa Bay, Florida.

13:39They're going to tape the show the 28th, play it on the 1st.

13:42Now, you know as well as I do, all the spoilers will be out there.

13:45Everybody's already going to know who's going to win.

13:47And it's going to give AEW a really good opportunity to take the ratings win against the main roster that

13:55night.

13:55And you know they'll run on that for forever.

13:57That's a huge accomplishment.

13:59And I think that's exactly what will happen if WWE doesn't figure a way to counter-program.

14:02And look, here's what you do.

14:03And I'm not trying to tell WWE or TKO how to run their business.

14:06But if that's me, I go to certain talents.

14:09And I'm talking about top-of-the-card talents on both brands.

14:12I present it to every brand we got.

14:14Raw, SmackDown, Evolve, NXT, you name it.

14:17Triple A, TNA.

14:19And I say, you know what?

14:20That night, we're going to counter-program AEW.

14:23And we're going to put together a spectacular evening for SmackDown.

14:27Kind of like a summit of sorts.

14:29Where we're going to bring talent from all walks of life.

14:31Because that's something that would be exciting for WWE fans.

14:34Get to see something where maybe a Raw superstar is taking on a SmackDown superstar.

14:41A TNA talent versus an NXT talent.

14:43Somebody from Evolve wrestling with an NXT talent.

14:46Or a Triple A talent.

14:47Or something like that.

14:48Unique matchups.

14:49Great talent.

14:50And if it's a concern over people not having time off for the holidays, you can fix that financially.

14:55Some people, money talks.

14:57And I have a funny feeling.

14:58If you ask CM Punk to give up his New Year's Day with AJ Lee to show up at SmackDown

15:04and earn an extra $250,000 for doing it.

15:08I don't think he'd say no.

15:09I don't think any of the wrestlers would.

15:11But what you gain by conquering AEW Dynamite that night.

15:16And I don't mean just winning more reviews.

15:18I'm talking about absolute domination.

15:20That night should have all hands on deck.

15:23And instead, they're going to play a taped episode.

15:26Horrible idea.

15:27Now, look.

15:28Don't get me wrong.

15:28I want to be very clear.

15:29I hope AEW might wipe the floor with them that night.

15:32Because I love AEW.

15:34And I want AEW to do phenomenal.

15:36But I'm talking about if I was in WWE trying to counter-program them, that's what they should be doing.

15:41And I'm actually excited as an AEW fan that they're not.

15:43I'm disappointed as a WWE fan that they aren't.

15:46If that makes any sense.

15:47I'm able to be objective and look at it from both directions and understand what the interest could be for

15:52both sides.

15:53And I think that's where WWE is missing here.

15:55And AEW is brilliant.

15:57This is a smart move.

15:58I love it.

15:59Go kudos to Tony Khan.

16:01Now I just need to see him put something together.

16:02It's very, very special.

16:03And hopefully he'll do that.

16:05And that show will be absolutely lights out.
