04:43If it's important to you, it's important to me.
04:45You guys are what make this show go around, especially the last two months.
04:49Highest viewership in the history of our show.
04:51Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your support, everything you guys do, and for taking time out of
04:55your day to spend with us.
04:57That being said, let's get into the conversations for the day.
05:00Cody Rhodes having a conversation about his contract.
05:04And we've had conversations in other interviews recently where he's mentioned about it potentially being his last contract in wrestling,
05:10doesn't want to wrestle when his daughter's at a certain age, things like that.
05:13Well, this time he was much more clear about his expectations.
05:16One, he really appreciated being able to shoot a movie this year, and he wants to be able to shoot
05:20potentially two movies next year.
05:22So, I'm not saying Cody is planning to make a full-time run in Hollywood, but I think he certainly
05:28enjoys the opportunities that wrestling has provided him in the Hollywood space.
05:32And that being said, WWE is very accepting of this.
05:36So, his current contract that he still claims is going to be his last, he mentioned, is going to be
05:42roughly six to seven years, especially when you factor in the time he takes off for the movies.
05:47So, we are looking at Cody.
05:49I don't know how you feel about his work, what he's done since coming to WWE.
05:52I think he's hit the ball out of the park far more times than not.
05:56And so, you can look forward to another six or seven years of Cody Rhodes.
06:00If you knew me on a personal level, you know I'm a teacher.
06:03I'm waving my hands up and down for six, seven.
06:05That drove me nuts all last school year.
06:07That's all I could think about when I read that off my notes for the show.
06:10But, yeah, Cody giving us a substantial amount of time.
06:14If it was a three-year deal and he said he was out, I'd be a little shocked.
06:17Five years kind of shocked me.
06:18Six or seven years makes a lot of sense.
06:20At that age, he doesn't want to be, you know, he praised people who were in their 50s and still
06:25going, but doesn't really want to be that guy.
06:27He really has a focus on other things and being with his children as much as possible as they get
06:33a little bit older.
06:34So, this is a great setup for him, and this is probably going to be his last contract in the
06:38wrestling space.
06:39From there, got to talk some Club WWE.
06:42Since it launched, many people, their perception of what they've received for the money they're paying has been lackluster at
06:49best.
06:49You've got a lot of random Raw episodes that go up there, an episode of, I think it's like Sami
06:54Zayn highlights, like random Sami Zayn highlights.
06:58An episode of the main event, I think, was up there or something like that.
07:01But a lot of the stuff that they put on there is just random Raw episodes.
07:04We did get the Stephanie Vicar Liv Morgan championship change from Chile.
07:09But at the last SmackDown episode, I apologize, Raw episode, in the dark match, Sami Zayn was at Raw.
07:18He defended the WWE championship against Cody Rhodes, and that match was taped as a Club WWE exclusive.
07:25Now, I saw on Cage Side Seats, they were also addressing this conversation, and they said, you know, something to
07:31the effect of,
07:31you could watch this horrible disqualification dark match on WWE's Club WWE account.
07:39Now, here, look, obviously, they're not going to switch a title every time they record a match for the thing.
07:43But I do hope they start recording more content for Club WWE, especially for what people are paying for it.
07:50It's kind of obnoxious what people are paying and what they're getting.
07:52So, more content is good.
07:55Better content would be better.
07:57More frequent content and other benefits and perks and rewards would be best.
08:01But this clearly, in my opinion, was rolled out with not a lot of thought into what it's going to
08:05take to sustain it.
08:07And this is, like, the first time they've done anything since that live Stephanie Vicar match back when Vicar won
08:14the WWE Women's Heavyweight Championship.
08:17So, not sure what they're going to be, you know, filling Club WWE with in the near future.
08:21Hopefully, it's a lot of dark matches, things that you don't get to see on television.
08:25I don't want to see old episodes of anything on there.
08:28To me, that's a waste of time, and they're all out of order and disjointed anyways.
08:32I want to see new original content.
08:34Give us some interview series.
08:36Give us some of their WWE SiriusXM radio station video feeds, things like that.
08:42Bust it open.
08:43Put that on there.
08:43Just give us something if you're going to be paying all that money.
08:47Shayna Baszler in the news talking some Ronda Rousey stories.
08:51And one of the things that she mentioned is how Ronda Rousey does not get any credit for what she
08:56had done in WWE.
08:58People act like she didn't like wrestling.
09:00She didn't want to be there.
09:01And Shayna advocates strongly for her friend and points out that at one point, Ronda was supposed to have a
09:08match.
09:08And she found out that six minutes was going to be cut from her match because another match went long.
09:13And Shayna referenced that, you know, cutting six minutes out of a match is a lot of time.
09:18It really limits how you can tell stories and how you can create drama and intrigue and all that kind
09:23of stuff.
09:24And Ronda was furious, and she paid for her own plane ticket to fly to headquarters and had a conversation
09:31with creative and said,
09:32Listen, is this something that's going to keep happening?
09:34If it is, and she said, and I apologize because I don't have all the specific wording, but something to
09:40the effect of,
09:41I don't need this to get famous.
09:42I don't need this to get rich.
09:44I don't need this for pretty much anything.
09:46She's there to help make it better, to move it forward.
09:50And if all they were going to do was keep cutting time from the women's matches, then she wanted to
09:55leave then.
09:55And she was really advocating for the women's division.
09:58She wanted to be a part of helping the division, growing the division, making it a better division.
10:03And I actually believe that Sheena Baszler is an incredible talent in her own right and has always come off
10:09as very humble, very personable, and very, very honest.
10:12And if she says it happened, I believe everything she's saying.
10:15And I think that it makes a lot of sense when you think about Ronda Rousey's character.
10:19If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out the press conference when she fought Gina Carano earlier this
10:25year.
10:25You'll get to see some of her personality and how she speaks when she really is put in a situation
10:29where she's frustrated with the way things are booked or contracts are negotiated or whatever.
10:33And when you read or watch that, it does not surprise me that this story would have taken place.
10:39And kudos to Ronda Rousey for sticking up for women's wrestling at the time when she was going through all
10:45this.
10:46I didn't hear a lot of people giving her positive praise for almost anything.
10:49So it's very cool that Sheena Baszler, you know, and she actually pointed out that Ronda would probably be furious
10:53that she was sharing that story.
10:54But it's an important story to better understand Ronda Rousey as an individual because I think a lot of wrestling
10:59fans don't love Ronda because they got that wrong impression that she hated everything about wrestling, was doing it for
11:04the money or whatever.
11:05And this story directly contradicts that from a very, very reliable source.
11:10So I choose to side with Baszler on this.
11:13And then the last thing for tonight, Ivy Nile and Jordan Grace.
11:16Now, word came out over the summer that vignettes had been shot for the two to team up and become
11:22iron built and that they're, you know, in an update to this, apparently the reason they never made a debut,
11:29they were supposed to start in end of September.
11:32Somebody in the infinite brain trust that is TKO and WWE didn't realize that Ivy Nile's contract was running out
11:38in October.
11:39Now, we are late in October at this point and word is, is that they believe, according to, I believe
11:46it was Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer, that they believe that she has signed a contract extension.
11:53They believe that they still are planning to bring them to the roster because they don't have a lot of
11:57tag teams.
11:59Jordan Grace is signed through 2029 and her contract money is for more than minimum level main roster money.
12:06So obviously you want to get her on television.
12:07So it sounds as though at some point iron built was supposed to be a thing, a little bit of
12:12a speed bump because of Ivy Nile's contract.
12:14But if her contract is taken care of and Jordan Grace is still sticking around for another three years, then
12:19there is absolutely no reason that we can't expect to see them in the very near future.
12:23I hope we do.
12:25Look, I understand Ivy Nile is a much younger talent.
12:28She's been doing some bodybuilding stuff.
12:30So has Jordan Grace because they haven't been being abused on television.
12:34Conversations in previous episodes about how reports were saying that creative just didn't have anything for them.
12:39But that's not exactly true.
12:40If they recorded vignettes for the tag team, they put in their copyright for iron built as a tag team
12:46name and all of that.
12:48Obviously, they had plans for them.
12:49They just didn't bring them to reality yet.
12:51And that's something I really hoped up to be gets on because both of these ladies can go for real
12:56in the ring.
12:56I think the tag team is a great option for both of them for now.
12:59At some point later on, if Jordan Grace really rehabilitates her character, you could always spin her off into singles
13:05again and put her into a main program.
13:07But for now, because you've kind of buried the crap out of her for months, this will give her an
13:12opportunity to reestablish herself.
13:13It'll bring Ivy Nile back to the main roster and get her to move up the card a little bit.
13:17She's always, as much as I know, I think she's always done singles matches in the women's division.
13:22It'd be great to see that both of them do something that matters.
13:26Probably win those women's tag team championships because I can't imagine why you put them in a team if you
13:30weren't going to give them the titles.
13:32You know, I don't want to see another Creed Brothers.
13:34That's what I don't need this tag team to be.
13:36But for now, we'll have to wait and see.
13:38I don't know how they're going to book it, if they're going to be, you know, heels, baby faces.
13:43I don't know if they're going to be over or treated like fodder.
13:46However, I really hope you maximize the talents of Jordan Grace and, in turn, Ivy Nile as well.
13:51They deserve that opportunity to really showcase what they can do.
13:54And I think they can do a whole lot of good for the main roster, especially the women's tag team
13:58division.
13:58For now, though, that's all the time we have for this episode.
14:01Check back with us next episode.
14:02We'll run down the latest wrestling news and rumors.
14:03Special thanks, as always, to Suno for creating the music and sound effects we use on our show.
14:06If you want to bring a new friend and family game night, I've got three options for you.
14:10Sketchy People by Beazle Games.
14:12Kind of a cross between Chutes and Ladders and Pictionary.
14:16Banany Market by Doodle Games, which is grabbing your shopping list and competing with everybody else in your party to
14:22see who can get in and out of the supermarket the fastest.
14:25And the other option is Legendary Elements by Freddy Food Creations, where you can cruise the cosmos trying to snag
14:31relics and artifacts on your way to the final challenge.
14:33I bought a copy of all three.
14:36My kids, I have three kids, and my wife and myself, we all loved playing all of them.
14:40But it's not just these three.
14:42There are hundreds of titles, maybe even thousands for all I know, on thegamecrafter.com.
14:46Let's be honest.
14:47We've been all playing the same board games our whole life.
14:49Chess, Checkers, Monopoly, Connect Four, Pop a Lot of Trouble on a Pop-O-Matic Bubble, Clue, Life, all those
14:55games.
14:55We've been playing them for forever.
14:56You know, the aforementioned Chutes and Ladders.
14:59Do something different.
15:00Grab a new game.
15:01Put smiles on faces.
15:02Bring excitement to the family.
15:03Stuff they've never seen before.
15:05And make it a first-time encounter for everybody.
15:08It's a ton of fun, and I can't endorse them enough.
15:11Once again, the three that I suggested were Sketchy People, Banani Market, and Legendary Elements.
15:16If you're looking for your next career decision, you're considering college, university life,
