00:02I feel like we never created music for people to listen to.
00:06We created music for us to feel better about what it was that we were going through at that moment.
00:12And it's very touching to know that people can relate to it.
00:18But the purpose of it in the beginning was just to cope.
00:33We're from Montreal both.
00:36It gets really cold.
00:38I write a lot during the winter because you're kind of stuck in your house and there's not much light
00:43and you kind of get depressed because you need light and you need warmth.
00:46We talk a lot about love stories that ended really bad or love stories that never happened.
00:53So for that, Montreal is great.
00:56It's very inspiring in the winter.
01:07That one works!
01:08Where to go?
01:09Thirteen left to go!
01:11Usually we start from a simple idea.
01:14Let's say sometimes there's just a feeling that we want to work with.
01:19We just write down a bunch of words that we want to use
01:22or that we want to build a whole universe around the song
01:25and make it something that exists.
01:27The more we do it, the more we don't even have to talk anymore to plan how we're going to
01:34do it.
01:34It just happens.
01:35Ready?
01:37Yes.
01:51We're two friends making music together and obviously it's going to have a female point of view
01:57because that's the point of view that we have.
01:59I think it's easy to relate to for other girls and women.
02:02You'll never stay you like me.
02:09I'll never be your friend.
02:41That's how we leave the stage!
02:44When I listened to the first demos, I really felt that the bass of the songs were really
02:50strong, really deep, and you could see the mark of the girls in their music.
02:54And when the new elements of the songs were added, I could see really the atmosphere and
02:59the vibe that the girls were going to put on it, it was really impressive for us.
03:04And on the human standpoint, they're just so fun to be around, and I feel like we have
03:08a small family working together.
03:26It's a weird thing to think you write a song because you feel something, but then everybody
03:33hears it.
03:34And then you sing it live in front of many people, and it's so personal.
03:39We never thought the band would work that well, so mostly we're very, very grateful
03:45of where we are right now.
03:47It feels so good to be able to not only say it out loud, but say it out loud to
03:55people
03:55who don't know us, and to say it out loud to, like, broad audiences.
03:59If people don't connect to it, it was still important for us to write that song.
04:03The creative process is also a way to deal with what's going on.
04:07So that's where every song comes from, I think.
