00:06I never really plan my sets, I just vibe off of what I feel energetically in the room on the
00:14dance floor.
00:16It's just this magic connection where I just like try and take the crowd on a journey or give that
00:24crowd the same exact feeling
00:26that I feel when I hear my favorite house music song.
00:42You would never think that like being a DJ would be the best job for a working mom,
00:48but somehow it is because I'm able to spend my entire day with my daughter.
00:54I put her to bed, I go DJ while, you know, she's sleeping, I come back, I get to feed
01:01her breakfast.
01:02There's not a second I miss with my child.
01:07I am so lucky and blessed that I get to be a mom.
01:12It's really given me a new purpose, a new meaning in life.
01:18It's been really beautiful and really a challenge.
01:23I don't see my husband as often as most wives see their husbands.
01:29And it's gotten interesting because I have been a lot busier since I've had the baby.
01:36All of us do it by planning carefully.
01:39But what I think most importantly is she does what she loves.
01:43And everything around her makes her happy.
01:46She's such an active person.
01:48So, you know, I'm really kind of like a laid back kind of guy.
01:52And she's always on the go.
01:53She's always full of energy, always going fully in everything she does.
01:59And that really inspires me.
02:07I have a really busy lifestyle.
02:10And yoga has inspired me in so many ways.
02:13There's something really special about being able to ground myself no matter where I am.
02:22Meditating is like being able to recognize when something is coming up in your head and letting it go.
02:28It's helped me navigate through life, through airports and traveling and being in clubs and having hectic schedules.
02:37It kind of helps me just like, okay, we can do this.
02:41Namaste, everybody.
02:44I always try and show people the parallels between the dance music community and the yoga community.
02:49Because if you think about it, when people come to a nightclub, they come to let loose, regardless of size,
02:58shape, color, ethnicity, religion.
03:01And they move their body and they express themselves.
03:04And in a yoga studio, you do the same.
03:08You know, you keep your eyes on your own mat.
03:10You get to move.
03:11You get to express yourself.
03:13It's the same thing.
03:14You don't know anything about your neighbor, but you're moving with them.
03:18Being a mom.
03:20Being a mom.
03:20You are taking a child on a journey through life, right?
03:25And when you are a DJ or a musician, you're taking people on a journey as well.
03:32You're guiding them through life in a different way musically.
03:37I feel like when I'm in front of a crowd, they are all my little babies.
03:41And by the end, we let them go.
03:44And then they, you know, you give them the tools that you need to be happy.
03:49And then they can go off on their own.
