00:03Hi guys, I'm Allison McNamara. We're going to pin and win powdering those lashes. Here's what you'll need. Nice mascara,
00:11a powder brush, any type of loose powder. We're using baby powder today. A less expensive mascara. Lavender oil and
00:19spoolies are optional. I have heard so many people talk about powdering their lashes. Sure it gives you this nice
00:25voluminous effect, but it clumps up your mascara and makes it run out faster and dry out.
00:30which is no good, but I found a trick that actually allows you to have the same effects without ruining
00:35your nice mascara. First you're going to coat your lashes with your everyday mascara that you love. Let that coat
00:42of mascara dry for a couple seconds, then powder your lashes. This is great because it adds length and volume.
00:51It's kind of like a natural way to add on fake eyelashes without all that nasty glue. Here's where the
00:57magic happens. Instead of using our first mascara,
01:00you know, the one that you use every day, use a less expensive one for the second coat. And there
01:08you go. Super easy. All you need is a second mascara. I've got two extra tips. If you are so
01:13set on using your favorite mascara, beginning and end, the one way to get around it is using a spoolie.
01:20This will prevent your mascara from getting all clumpy.
01:23Another tip is to add lavender oil to your mascara. Just a drop or two. This will de-clump the
01:29mascara and also act as a disinfectant. Plus, it smells amazing.
