00:04Just outside one of Philadelphia's most prominent LGBTQ health centers,
00:08the Westboro Baptist Church protested to spread their message of hate for the
00:12community.
00:23The group is known for creating their own hateful renditions of popular songs.
00:45While there were only five members of the Westboro Baptist Church, down the block, a much larger
00:49counter-protest showed up to spread the message of love and equality.
00:58I'm here dressed as gay Jesus to show that God has room in his heart, or room in their
01:03heart really, for people of all genders and all gender expressions, all sexualities, and
01:08that no one should be spewing hate at you because of your gender or because of your sexuality.
01:17The lively community's songs and chants easily drowned out the Westboro songs of hate.
01:33The best thing about the West Baptist Church showing up here today is the gathering of
01:39love that Philly knows how to show.
01:41This is incredible what the community is doing.
01:43All we do is show love, and that's all we're going to do today.
01:46It should have brought more than five people because we know how to do this.
01:49The sign says, I love my trans son.
01:52Yeah.
01:53I am his trans son.
01:55I am his trans son.
02:01Yeah.
02:10I am somebody.
02:20You
