00:00What's up guys?
00:01It's Milana from Refinery29.
00:02I'm really excited to show you my recreation of Rihanna's beauty look in the music video
00:07Wild Thought.
00:08I'm a really big beauty fan, but even more so I'm a huge Rihanna fan.
00:13Rihanna's fearless and creative approach to beauty is amazing and it inspires me every
00:17single day.
00:18Let's get started.
00:19I always prep by using a moisturizer as my bathe.
00:22Today I'm using Embroilisse.
00:25It's super emollient and works really great on a foundation.
00:28I'm going to start with a teal green eyeshadow base from MAC in shade.
00:34I'm going to apply with my fingers because I feel it helps everything melt into the skin
00:37more.
00:38I'm going to use a denser brush to help bring out the eyeliner.
00:40To help get the winged liner just right, I'm going to use a small angled brush.
00:48You might notice that this is a little bit darker than what Rihanna's got going on in
00:52the video, but this lighter cream shadow will help sort that out.
00:56I love to layer my eyeshadows and it's much cheaper to mix and match than to try and buy
01:01a new shade.
01:02I'm using number 21 Aqua Cream by Make Up Forever.
01:06Rihanna's eyes in the music video are a little bit more blended out using some browns and some
01:10blacks to help smoke everything up.
01:12I'm going to use Brown Script by MAC to help blend out the top.
01:19Okay, next step, I'm going to use this Givenchy eyeliner as both a liner and a shadow.
01:29And to finally finish these eyes, I'm going to top everything off with an Urban Decay eyeshadow
01:35in Arctic.
01:36Rihanna also has a little bit of the tealy green color under her eyes.
01:43This is my favorite mascara from L'Oreal and the color is carbon black so your eyelashes
01:48really pop.
01:49There's a little bit of fallout with the glitter and the bright color used on the eye.
01:53I'm going to clean that up right now with some more moisturizer and q-tips.
01:57This precision tip is a godsend.
02:02Now the eyes are all done and fallout is swept away, I'm going to start putting on foundation.
02:06I'm using MAC face and body foundation, mixing two different colors to make sure it's a right
02:13fit for me.
02:14Let's jump right in.
02:15I'm starting with a lot more of the lighter color and then dropping in the darker color
02:20to match.
02:24I'm going to mix it all up.
02:27I know some people love using brushes, but honestly MAC face and body works so much better
02:33with your fingers.
02:34I'm going to add a little bit more to my cheeks because that's the most uneven part
02:38of my skin, but feel free to add or leave out foundation wherever you feel necessary.
02:43Before I get to bronzing, highlighting and setting, I'm going to put on my brows.
02:48I'm using a slightly beat up L'Oreal liner in dark brown.
02:53I'm going to start out by brushing all of my brows into place.
02:59Now that they're all drawn in, I'm going to use Glossier Boy Brow to help give them a more
03:03realistic feel.
03:04Next up, I'm going to use a Maybelline highlighter.
03:09Rihanna's got a bronzy, slightly orange look going on in the video for her cheeks, so I'm
03:14going to use this Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer in 9.
03:18I'm going to put this on slightly lower than I normally would so it helps bronze things
03:22out.
03:23Rihanna's cheeks pull a little bit orange, so I'm going to use NARS Taj Mahal Blush to
03:29help bring that out.
03:31Now that highlighting and blush is all done, I'm going to start setting my face.
03:35I'm using NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder in Crystal.
03:40I'm not going to set everywhere, just the places where I know I get oily.
03:44Last but not least, I'm going to finish off with a lip.
03:47Today I'm using two colors, MAC RiRiWu, very fitting.
03:52And to top it off, I'm using ColourPop's Liquid Lipstick in Ribbon.
04:14Alright guys, this is the final look.
04:17I feel a little bit like Rihanna, and hopefully you will too.
04:20See you next time.
