00:00The only person I can represent is myself.
00:02To me, being transsexual means that my body did not match my given gender.
00:10This is how I was meant to be.
00:12This is my expression.
00:13This is me.
00:14I find within myself, I'm like the epitome of like femme culture, like I love being feminine.
00:20I always attract douchebags, no joke.
00:23Like the guy who like hollers at women on the street, that's typically my boyfriend.
00:27It is important for medical professionals to respect your gender, however, your body
00:33and anatomy comes in contact with your sex.
00:36I've been in situations where I went to the doctor, he goes, oh, you have such beautiful
00:40child bearing hips.
00:43And I was like, the uterus would be great.
00:46My roommate from my freshman year of college, I got a letter in the mail, like random, who
00:51sends mail?
00:52And sent me like this three page letter on how meeting me was the most influential
00:58thing to ever happen in his life.
01:00When I moved into my freshman year dorm, my college roommate was a Republican, Confederate
01:06flag bearing, like white America.
01:09And I was at the time this like flamboyant gay man who did drag.
01:13I literally laid the ground rules.
01:15I was like, if you don't want to be here, you can move out.
01:17I was like, but I'm living here.
01:19And if you don't put up any naked pictures of women, I won't put up any naked pictures
01:23of men.
01:24So we're good, right?
01:26Meeting someone that he would never, ever experience in his small town where he was
01:30from changed his life.
01:32His best friend is a gay man.
01:33Three like LGBT people in his wedding ceremony and he has like a daughter who he like wants
01:38me to meet.
01:39It's like, you never know who you're going to influence in this life.
01:42Be yourself and let that speak for itself.
