00:01It's really not just about the outward beauty for me, it's when I'm feeling in the dark, twisty place about
00:09treatment and what the future holds or doesn't hold. That affects how you feel about yourself and your self-imension,
00:17your beauty too.
00:19My name is Marianne. I had 16 years of mammograms that never showed anything. I started when I was 30.
00:27Lo and behold, I had a different kind of breast cancer called lobular breast cancer, evasive lobular breast cancer. Nine
00:34and a half years passed, I thought I was good to go. It's not only bigger and madder in my
00:41liver after everything I've done, it's all over my bones and in both my lungs.
00:45I was always known for my mare hair. And so when I lost my hair, you know, people would say
00:52to me, oh, it's just hair, it'll grow back. You don't get it. I mean, it's part of who I
00:57am. It's part of my identity. And then having hair, I feel like I can stay anonymous in the community.
01:06Once you're bald, everybody knows. When I have my hair, I just feel a little more like me.
01:11And I think when I feel myself, I feel prettier. It really comes from strength and power and confidence and
01:22believing. And when you have that, you're beautiful. When you have that, you're the prettiest girl in the room.
01:33It's just going to radiate from you. And that power I believe is beauty.
