00:05so first of all King Belle how did you get that name um I gave it to myself because I
00:11just felt
00:12like because of obviously the industry I work in it's very boys yeah so I just wanted it was kind
00:19of like an alias like just to not make me feel so like alienated alienated so I was like you
00:25know obviously I'm a queen as well but I was like I'm a king too yeah I like the fact
00:30that you were
00:30like give me the crown yeah I'm not gonna wait for anyone to take it yeah just give me the
00:34crown
00:34all right yeah but how is it working in an industry that is because being like a presenter or working
00:40in music yes there are a lot of of men but as a like a DJ by by trade you're
00:47one of the only full
00:47time female DJs that I know when I first started there wasn't that many you know girls so I already
00:55had the kind of like battle at first because you know the lineups I was like the only girl
01:01or put as a warm-up yeah you know yeah playing before everyone gets there yeah before anyone
01:07gets there before the club opens they're testing sound yeah I guess like you have to be technically
01:14better because people will think unfortunately people might think you know oh she's booked
01:19because she looks this way exactly because there aren't any girls in the lineup so it's like having
01:23to show up and then like show out yeah yeah that's a thing proving that actually can DJ and um
01:31that's
01:31another thing as well like I don't want people to be like oh yeah she looks really good on the
01:36lineup
01:36or she she's cute let's book her I want people to do to book me because I can actually like
01:41shell it down yeah shell it down yeah exactly I like to think that um you know I opened the
01:48door you
01:49know for other girls to come through and to come and join me on the lineup so taking it back
01:55to the
01:55beginning how did you first start your musical journey I started in store um and then I was a
02:01studio with friends as well you know cool nights in East London East London had all the little parties
02:06going um I started with a night could work it um and that was just like friends and it was
02:12run by two um
02:15peers and they just wanted to put a night on for our friends and for the type of music that
02:19we wanted
02:20to vibe to so it is festival season it is and you travel a lot for work yes what is
02:26the best festival
02:27experience you've ever had okay so the best one that I've ever had um was Glastonbury yeah because
02:34also I said I would never go to Glastonbury until I play and then I got booked well I mean
02:41speak it into
02:41existence yeah so then I was like okay cool we'll go Glastonbury and um it was amazing because it is
02:48such a it's so many people do you have any festival survival tips for those rookies like imagine if
02:54it's somebody's first ever festival okay because you're a seasoned professional okay so make sure you
03:00take wipes oh yeah wipes for your hands wipes for the loo because when you're in there you're alone
03:07you're alone and it might be dark might be dark so you need whites because there's never any tissue or
03:13anything
03:13so finally mishavon bell what are your plans for this summer what are you up to um obviously going
03:19to loads of festivals um i'll be traveling i'm currently planning a tour as well so i'm currently
03:26planning a europe tour and an american tour um and an australian tour yeah yeah okay the real last question
03:34can i come on all these tours yeah come on this is what i'm saying this is what i'm saying
03:39yes siobhan
