00:00It's almost father's day. Yes. I came home to hang out with my father. Big day. Hey!
00:13I came home to hang out with my father. Yes. And we've decided to look through some old childhood
00:19photos of the two of us together. Of which there are many. Take a walk down memory lane together.
00:25We're gonna stroll. If we find some good ones, maybe try to recreate them. Yeah.
00:31There'll be some good ones. Yeah? Yeah. Because you were very photogenic as a child. I was? Yes, you are.
00:36Am I still? Yes, you are. So do you want to go look at the books? Sure. To the books!
00:43Step this way.
00:45We have the big books and we have the small books. They're dated and they start being dated before you
00:55were born. Right over here. 1289, which is when your brother was born. And they go all the way up
01:02to 299,
01:05which is over here, when you were seven years old. And right around that time, we started doing
01:13everything digital. So everything from beyond that is on the computer. Alright, let's start looking
01:17through them. Okay. Let's start from 1992, the year of my birth. Let's see. Here comes the book. There's mom,
01:26there's, there's you.
01:27Can you notice yourself? I'm right in there. You're in there. Here we are coming out. There you are. Yep.
01:35Screaming. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. I'm sterile.
01:39There's Jimmy. There we are. Look at you. There you are. Who's who? Can you tell? Um, not in that
01:50picture I can't tell. I can. That's me. Yeah? That's Ellie. Okay. There's the twins with mama. Yep. Twins with
01:58daddy. Yep. We should recreate this photo. There's the classic photo when I brought you home. Aww. Hmm. Try to
02:06redo that. Okay. So we found a
02:08ton of shots of us together. And here are some of our favorites that we're gonna try to recreate. How
02:16are they? They're good. It's a good thing I got bangs recently. Yeah, it's a good thing I, uh, I
02:21wish I had bangs. I need more hair. See, I had bangs in these photos. Yeah. And now I have
02:28bangs. I used to tell you when you were little to make certain faces, the mean face, the happy face,
02:34the angry face. Did I do it? Yeah, you did it. You were good at it.
02:38Show me the mean face. Show me the happy face. Angry. Alright, this is the first photo we're recreating.
02:50What's the very first memory that you have of me?
02:58When we used to go on family vacations to Aruba, and we used to wake up at 4 a.m.,
03:03sometimes 3 a.m.,
03:05to go get pool chairs down by the pool. And I used to wake up and put on one of
03:10his big giant t-shirts.
03:12Hey. Hey. Watch the sun rise, stand in line, and basically just wait for the pool hut to open so
03:18that we could be the first to get the pool chairs and pick our spot by the pool.
03:22Alright, Dad and I are in our outfits. I'm ready to roll. Ready to roll on photo number one.
03:27Handing it off to cameraman Allie. Camerawoman. Who will be filming from now on.
03:35When Lucy was really little, she basically was friends with everyone. She would go off with anyone.
03:43If she wanted to go off with the gardener, she would do that.
03:46Lucy, what's your name? Tell me your name.
03:49Lucy Pink.
03:51Alright, I have to take my glasses off. Because I don't have any glasses on in the picture. I must
03:56have had contact.
03:57Okay, you're on the wrong sides. Lucy.
03:59Are you?
03:59Yeah, Lucy get on the other side.
04:01Your hair is down and your bangs are in front of your face.
04:04Okay.
04:05With like a tiny little split down the middle.
04:08But still, like you're supposed to be sitting on Dad's lap in this photo.
04:14So like your legs go out to the side.
04:17Like that?
04:18That's pretty good, but you guys both lean that way more.
04:21Lucy is extremely positive person. She's like the most positive person.
04:27He's breathing on me.
04:29So if I need some positivity in my day, I'll try to get in touch with Lucy.
04:33Sorry, I just ate a croissant.
04:35Lucy is closed mouth smile. Dad is teeth. Teeth showing.
04:39Okay, stay where you are.
04:44Up next, this photo.
04:46Christmas at the Finks.
04:48My favorite thing about my dad is that he is actually the perfect mix between being very serious and smart
04:58and responsible,
05:00but also very lighthearted and carefree and silly.
05:04And for people who don't know my dad, he is quite the legend.
05:10So I don't own these candy cane tights anymore.
05:13So I'm just going to use white tights and we are going to print some candy canes.
05:31Dad, where are you?
05:33I'm in the attic. I'm coming down. Look what I found.
05:38The booklet.
05:39Christmas at the Finks.
05:41And the tree.
05:42And the tree.
05:43What are you doing?
05:44I'm putting up a black background.
05:46Oh, smart.
05:48Oh.
05:50That doesn't work.
05:51I remember.
05:52I remember that in the past, you used to teach me everything.
05:56Don't say no to the dog, Lucy.
05:58That scares her.
05:59I need this.
06:00I need this, Daddy.
06:01I need this.
06:02Get up.
06:02But these days it seems I'm teaching my dad a lot more.
06:06Technology, social media, he wants followers.
06:10I got to teach him.
06:12This seems like a good spot.
06:14Good job.
06:16And then we can put the tree on this table.
06:18Alright, I'm going to pass it off to Allie.
06:21As a father, I always wanted to impart on my kids the importance of family.
06:30Allie!
06:31Allie!
06:31Do you have glasses on in this picture?
06:33Yes.
06:34All my candy canes fell off.
06:36Oh no.
06:37It's alright.
06:38Okay.
06:38They're all over the floor.
06:40Let's see.
06:40Take your hair down.
06:41You know, he was a strict dad growing up and he made sure that we were studying hard and
06:46putting our family first.
06:47But on the flip side of that, he's got an earring, he's got a tattoo.
06:52He's a pretty cool guy.
06:53That other arm is around Lucy.
07:00Yeah, you're like squishing your legs in this photo.
07:03Your legs could be bent.
07:05Can you see my underwear?
07:06No.
07:07You promise?
07:07Yeah.
07:08Alright.
07:09Well, this might be as good as we're going to get.
07:15Up next, the drunk face.
07:19Lucy was always very outgoing and she used to put on all these shows for us.
07:24The most famous show was called the Lucy Fink Show of Cups and Balls.
07:29That was sort of like a magic show.
07:31Nice.
07:33She always would start off the show by saying, ladies and gentlemen, presenting to the Lucy
07:42Fink Show of Cups and Balls.
07:46Daddy, can we watch the tape after?
07:48Alright, Jimmy, you're in position.
07:50Alright, Lou.
07:51Your head's going to be this way.
07:53Dad's.
07:55And up.
07:57Yeah.
07:59Wait, Dad, get your head out a little more.
08:02Is this what I'm doing?
08:05Basically.
08:05Do I get the Dad of the Year Award?
08:08Yes.
08:09You get the Dad of the Quarter Century Award.
08:12Or am I supposed to be like this?
08:15Yeah, you're kind of like in her armpit.
08:17It tickles.
08:18I can't deal with it.
08:21Come on.
08:22You can't tickle.
08:23I'm not moving.
08:24It tickles so badly.
08:26Come on.
08:27Where's my face looking?
08:29Your eyes are rolling.
08:32It's rolling in your head this way.
08:36Kind of like that.
08:39Oh, you lunatic.
08:40Dad, your hands are touching each other.
08:44Your fingers are touching each other.
08:46Yeah.
08:46Well, that's funny.
08:47Alright.
08:53Up next, we got this photo booth trio.
08:58Twins are a blessing.
09:00I have to start with that.
09:01My girls are the best.
09:03They're so good.
09:05The first time ever I went on the radio with my Dad.
09:07I'm trying to get Allie to do it too.
09:10Ooh.
09:10Nice.
09:11And Allie doesn't want to come and I say,
09:13Don't be shocked.
09:15Talk to the mic.
09:17Come down.
09:18Alright.
09:19Making another black backdrop.
09:21Here's our photo booth.
09:23I have three children that are all very, very different
09:26from each other during the day.
09:28If we go to school or you have soccer games or this or that
09:30and everybody's going in different directions.
09:32What happened here?
09:34But when it came down to dinner time,
09:36that would be our time to spend together.
09:39Okay.
09:39You got to tip up the camera a little bit more
09:41because the top of my head is cut off.
09:43Whoa.
09:43We're going to have to scoot.
09:44We're going to have to scoot down.
09:45There you go.
09:46Okay, so the first photo, we're just smiling at the camera.
09:52Oh God.
09:53It's kind of like this.
09:55It's kind of like this.
09:55You need bangs.
09:57Smile at the camera.
09:59Second photo, Allie's hand is like hanging out of her mouth.
10:03And now the last one, me and Dad have tongues out.
10:05Allie's tongue is out but her hands in her mouth.
10:13So, you know, it's really too bad that you didn't know my dad
10:18because my dad died when I was only 16.
10:22So, could you imagine life without me, Louie?
10:27What?
10:28What are you looking at?
10:33No, I can't imagine life without you and I just don't want to.
10:37That would be pretty bad.
10:39Yeah.
10:39Yeah.
10:40Last photo, we're floating on a float in the ocean.
10:45We don't have the ocean near us.
10:47But we have a pool.
10:48So, we're going to use the pool.
10:51The blue bathing suit.
10:52I remember once we went to Acapulco.
10:56We were ready to go into the ocean together but the ocean waves were pretty big
11:01and Lucy was pretty little.
11:03And so, we went in together and all of a sudden came this rogue wave.
11:09Like, I don't know, 10 feet high.
11:12Nice!
11:13And came and smashed us down.
11:15I held onto Lucy the entire time but smashed my knees down into the sand.
11:22But Lucy, she survived the entire thing.
11:26Allie!
11:28Hi.
11:29We're ready for you.
11:30The suit.
11:31You like the suit?
11:32Please.
11:33We're ready for you.
11:35You look like you're 12 years old.
11:36Yeah, I don't even know how I found this but it looks the same as the one in the photo.
11:41We've got our float.
11:43Hey.
11:45Hey, the pool's nice and warm.
11:47Get in.
11:48Alright.
11:50Can you sit on that without sinking, Lou?
11:54What does Father's Day mean to you?
11:56Father's Day means that my daughters and my son express their love for me and they're going to say how
12:02important I was to them and I'm going to cry.
12:05And Lucy, your hands are blocking the sun from your eyes.
12:13Creating shade, yeah.
12:15And Dad's just standing there with his hands on the float.
12:17Is my hair wet?
12:18No, you can't tell.
12:19Can you make it?
12:19You can't tell because it was black here and it's great now.
12:23Why are you pushing me down?
12:24Dad, you're...
12:26Are my arms like this or like this?
12:29No, back where they were.
12:31Yeah, like that.
12:31Am I supposed to be holding the float like this?
12:33Uh-huh.
12:33Your left leg should be off to the side on the diagonal a little bit.
12:37Yeah, like that.
12:40This one's pretty good.
12:45So you really love me?
12:46I do love you, Lucy.
12:48I love you too.
12:48Yes, I know.
12:49I love you.
12:49Happy Father's Day.
12:50Thank you so much.
12:52Fun video.
