Taking a walk, taking off her makeup, and taking some time for herself to relax are just a few steps in Lucie's nighttime routine.

00:01It's been quite the day!
00:03What's up guys?
00:04It's Lucy Fink.
00:05Welcome back to our channel.
00:06Tonight I'm talking about my nighttime routine.
00:09Because the nighttime is a very important time in everyone's day.
00:13You've just dealt with whatever the day has thrown at you,
00:16and now it's time to wind down.
00:18A lot of people are very set in their day or night routines,
00:21but I'm one of those people that mixes it up all the time.
00:24What I'm gonna show you tonight is an overall overarching story
00:27of what I do on any typical night,
00:30but just know that every night is completely different.
00:32The first thing I do when I get home from work is I walk into the apartment
00:35and I throw all of my things down,
00:37and then I head back out and I go on a walk.
00:40It does not matter to me what season it is,
00:43how hot or how cold it is outside.
00:45I love walking around New York City in the evening.
00:48New York is always on because this is the city that never sleeps.
00:51So I get out, I go for my walk, I clear my head,
00:54I really use it as a time to wind down from the day,
00:57and then I come back into my apartment,
00:59and the first thing I do is take my makeup off.
01:02I don't normally do this,
01:04but my mirror is looking awfully dirty at the moment.
01:10And then it's the time I've been waiting for
01:13since the moment I walked out of the house,
01:15washing my face.
01:16I love giving my face a good scrub and just getting the day off.
01:20Just take the whole day off with soap and water.
01:24Next, it's time to wash my body.
01:27But I don't wash my hair every day.
01:29I usually only wash my hair every three to four days.
01:31So I threw on a shower cap and I got in the shower.
01:34Woo-hoo!
01:40When I get out of the shower,
01:41it's time to do something therapeutic for my skin and my face.
01:45So I usually do some sort of a nighttime face mask.
01:47I have a lot of options.
01:49I have a ton of different masks that I love.
01:51One of my favorites is this turmeric cranberry mask from Kiehl's.
01:55I put it on and I leave it for five to ten minutes and just chill in the bathroom while
01:59it's doing its magic.
02:00And then I rinse it off.
02:02And once I'm done with that,
02:04I'm pretty much done with the bathroom until it's time to brush my teeth later.
02:07I don't always cook my dinner.
02:09I'm just gonna be honest with you here.
02:10Quite often, I pick something up for dinner or I order in on seamless.
02:13But it's always my favorite nights when I cook something and I make a homemade meal
02:18and then I sit down and enjoy it.
02:19One of my nighttime specialties,
02:21and anyone who follows me on Instagram or Snapchat will attest to this from my stories,
02:26I love making my own desserts.
02:29Woo!
02:29I love dessert!
02:31And the best kinds are the no-bake desserts because they take two seconds to make.
02:35They're usually one or two ingredients.
02:37You're done and you've got something sweet to munch on for the rest of the night.
02:40This right here is one of my all-time favorite desserts
02:43and it's just yogurt bites that you freeze and turn into frozen yogurt.
02:48You spoon some yogurt into a Ziploc bag and then you just pipe it out into little dots onto parchment
02:53paper.
02:53Then you can top it with anything you want, rainbow sprinkles, honey, you name it.
02:58Pop it into the freezer and then when it comes out, you have fro-yo bites.
03:03Simple, fast, and delicious.
03:06After I've eaten, I go onto the couch and I watch TV.
03:09Watching TV is one of my favorite things to do, partially because I myself am a video producer.
03:14So when I watch other people's videos on TV, it really inspires me and gives me ideas of how I
03:19can creatively incorporate their ideas into my work.
03:22After I've watched my fix of television, I'm like, I need some silence.
03:28So I turn the TV off and I open my Headspace app, which is my meditation app, and I do
03:33a guided meditation for 10 to 15 minutes.
03:36It is not as easy as it seems to sit still for 10 to 15 minutes and just think, but
03:41when you have the guiding voice talking to you, it really makes it a lot easier.
03:45This is something I've definitely gotten into.
03:47I do this with my boyfriend a lot at night before bed, and we both find that it calms us
03:51down and really just gets us ready to sleep.
03:54And once I'm done meditating, I get off the couch and I go back into the kitchen, and this is
03:58the last hands-on kitchen-y thing I do before sleep, I make my coffee for the next morning.
04:04I didn't always make my coffee at home, but I started doing it and I realized it's way cheaper, and
04:09it is really delicious to walk out of the house with a water bottle filled with ice, your coffee from
04:15the day before, and almond milk, and you just shake it up and you've got an iced coffee on the
04:19go.
04:19So good, so good.
04:22I always have a book at my bedside table, so when I get into bed, I try to read at
04:26least one chapter.
04:28I do a lot of writing at work, and I find that when I read on the side, it positively
04:32influences my writing skills.
04:34Right now, I'm currently reading Neil deGrasse Tyson's Astrophysics for People in a Hurry.
04:39It's good, but I'm on page 30 and I'm only at one billionth of a second through the Big Bang,
04:44so it's moving slow.
04:46Just before bed, I take some much needed time to respond to you guys.
04:52I get tons of Instagram comments, direct messages, tweets, Facebook messages, Snapchats, you name it, and I need to respond.
05:00I really feel that as an online personality, it's my duty to communicate with the audience and ask you guys
05:05what you want to see, and then when you ask me questions, to answer you.
05:09You gotta be a friend to have a friend, so I do my best.
05:13Typically, Michael is here because we live together, so we share this bed.
05:17But when I filmed this video, he was actually working late that night, which is why when I crawled into
05:22bed, I had to pull up a picture of him, zoom in on his face, and pretend like he was
05:26next to me.
05:27But he's normally right there, and we go through the whole night together, and he doesn't normally work late, and
05:33I'm so grateful for that.
05:35One other thing I'd like to say is that I brushed my teeth before bed, and I forgot to show
05:39it in the video.
05:39I promise, just take my word for it.
05:42Ask Michael if you want, he'll tell you.
05:43And that is my nighttime routine.
05:46Once again, it's different every night, but that's just the general gist of it.
05:50That's how it feels from my perspective.
05:52See you next time!
