00:06I've never dyed my hair like this before, I've always kind of gone au naturel.
00:11It tends to have a brassy undertone and sometimes will turn green when I hop in the pool.
00:17Right now my hair is making me feel black, to be honest.
00:20I don't hate it, but I definitely don't love it.
00:22My hair inspiration has always been Olivia Wilde.
00:26I think she carries multi-dimensional brown really, really well.
00:30Lilac has always been my favorite color and I have really followed the trend of mushroom brown this year.
00:36I've also kind of been inspired by our very own Mian, who I ran into in the elevator with super
00:43lilac hair.
00:44So I am finally womaning up and deciding to change my hair now because there's really no time like the
00:52present.

01:27So we're going to just kind of deepen the roots a little bit and then we're going to go through
01:31and paint highlights.
01:33We'll have a little bit of like an iridescence in there so that it really does read mushroom brown.
01:53I guess I'm kind of nervous to get this done.
01:56I've always had the same hairstyle since I was like 16.
02:02This is a big change for me.

02:28I feel like my inner self is kind of like a fairy.
02:30As a kid I always wanted to be a fairy so this is super cool and getting to experiment in
02:35that playful universe.
02:45I do work in the media industry in a big girl job and while it is accepted that, you know,
02:52people have playful hair within my line of work, it doesn't always translate as well to the outside business world.
02:59But I don't really care. I'm going to embrace my hair and my boss mentality.
03:29I'm hoping I feel more vibrant and
03:32more playful. I think this hair is going to really reflect kind of the inner transformation that I've been going
03:38through
03:38and just bring to life some of the fun elements of my personality that have been hidden with this kind
03:45of bland hair.
