00:00every now and then Wallace will say something about like the universe or a higher power causing
00:05something to happen and I'm like what I'm thinking more in terms of like mother nature
00:11yeah the lesbian version of you know I teach and perform dance and I instruct fitness I'm a special
00:21education teacher I'm an artist I'm the chief strategy officer I am a content strategist I
00:27work in financial markets I'm in the fashion business of apparel and waiting this thing out
00:34like everybody else
00:39I think a good fight looks like no one's screaming and yelling but people talking and speaking honestly
00:47we have like a base level understanding that neither one of us is ever trying to be mean
00:54we don't have problem I'm upstairs she's downstairs many times when there's an argument or any
01:00friction it's mostly just miscommunication which is a good problem to have we have conversations
01:05about communication saying how you feel and kind of not taking it personally or to my methods we have
01:12a safe word for fighting we do it's pumpernickel whenever anyone feels like the conversation is
01:19either escalating or going too far you just say the word pumpernickel and neither neither person can
01:26continue the conversation at all I tried probably to be less snippy with you in front of my parents
01:31you weren't that snippy recently to be honest I would call you out
01:39I just have had some of my own difficulty in navigating interfaith in the past so I would
01:45consider myself a spiritual person but I don't belong to any one group and I think that works
01:50for us we haven't had much in the way of faith-based conversations I guess it's safe to say
01:56we will now I don't consider myself like a very religious person but spiritually yes I mean I'm
02:03Jewish but I also think that organized religion is a hoax I've gotten to like join Gabrielle and her
02:10family for like Passover and I'm like obsessed with it the rituals of it are nice I feel like we
02:16share common values I don't know if they line up with like our spiritual beliefs but I think like
02:23things with it's just like being kind and respectful and compassionate I think we focus the conversation
02:28more on like values and beliefs and like ideals as opposed to like the spiritual aspect we are all
02:35Christian when so much feels kind of like helpless and like out of control it's like a very like
02:39grounding thing to hold on to
02:47genealogical issue that's been handed down through generations of Greenbergs is
02:52oh I know what he's the need to scream into the phone and during a video conference not realizing that
03:00the the technology of microphones has evolved to the point where it can pick up sound she always
03:08picks like the one thing that I don't want to get like ruined and she has a history of putting
03:15on
03:15something brand new and getting pasta sauce all over it you can be impatient oh I'm incredibly impatient
03:21and sometimes it feels like a bulldozer I don't know I mean I think it's probably I like to snack
03:28a lot
03:28so I think maybe she finds that annoying I don't know do you find that annoying no okay
03:35can't really think of anything here it's perfect there's actually nothing I found find annoying
03:40about something but nice try
03:49for us it still feels too early to just air dirty laundry I'm very jealous particularly because like
03:55look at Colin he's so attractive I'm just fundamentally I think a jealous person and it's
04:01usually been part of my demise it sounds quite preachy when I say it out loud but whenever I find
04:07myself comparing I try to think about okay so this person has this to add and I have this to
04:13compliment
04:13first of all I'm not jealous I don't really um I'm a little bit in my own world I suppose
04:18which
04:18which helps with not being jealous um but exes I am very very curious and I'm very very curious
04:24about someone I think she's very very curious about me I don't like the term like my ex like the
04:29possessive like this is my ex and I think I've asked us not to say I think you might I'm
04:37like okay
04:37can't that just be your former boyfriend like somebody that you used to date but like I do believe
04:43is important to acknowledge I'm proud of who you are because of because of your exes I'm I feel I
04:50feel
04:51grateful to them
04:56it's better to leave some things unsaid if it's not the end of the world and if it's not gonna
05:01like
05:01crumble your entire life in reality like maybe just keep it to yourself leaving stupid things unsaid
05:07has been like part of our secret sauce for success if the secret impacts your relationship maybe it's
05:14worth bringing on the table but if it's out of respect for other people in your life because you
05:18have a life outside of your relationship then that should be honored too I believe that no secrets is
05:23probably easiest and best I definitely think that transparency is important and that sometimes
05:30like we don't have to share everything and we don't have to share like how necessarily like how we
05:37experience the world or some of our interests what keeps a relationship running is like the shared
05:43experiences and the different experiences and in a setting like this like it's so easy to not have
05:49any different experiences like you are two different people and it's important to like take care of
05:53yourselves as two different people and as a couple
