00:03Michael's gonna teach me how to do a rope braided chignon. What? Chignon. Chignon. I've literally never said that word
00:14before in my life.
00:19Today Michael's gonna teach me how to do a rope braided bun.
00:23Start by taking a vertical section at your hairline. Split the hair into two sections.
00:27Twist the hair the opposite direction that you're going to wrap them around each other, making the hair look like
00:31a piece of rope.
00:32Each section, pick up a new piece of hair from your scalp and bring it into your braid, very similar
00:37to a French braid.
00:38Continue all the way around until the far side of your nape.
00:41Braid all the way to the ends of your hair and secure with an elastic.
00:45Take the remaining ends, fold it up, and put it underneath your twist braid. Secure with large bobby pins, forming
00:51a nice loose chignon.
00:57So the Dutch braid can be a little bit complicated, but after a little bit of practice, it looks like
01:00you've mastered it.
01:01Definitely mastered it.
01:02You're welcome.
