00:04hey guys I'm Tara for Refinery29 and I'm hair and makeup artist Bethany Brill and today we're
00:09going to be showing you how to do a really cool hidden braid we're going to start with a deep
00:13side part you can just use your fingers for this because we want it to look really soft
00:18and natural then we're going to take a little bit of mousse this is going to be used to define
00:27this
00:28part a little bit and just to add some grip to the hair so that we can braid it easily
00:33we're going
00:38to use the blow dryer to direct the hair on to the opposite side with the part and work the
00:44mousse
00:44into the hair so now we're going to start with a loose French braid around the crown of the head
00:57take a fairly large section of hair split it into three parts and do one round of braiding take large
01:09chunks of hair and incorporate them into the braid as though your French braiding just keep everything
01:16very loose don't worry about leaving pieces out this is what gives it the romantic look as
01:26as you get around the temple of your face you're going to bring the braid closer to the front of
01:31your
01:31face once you get around the ear stop gathering other hair and just braid and finish with an elastic
01:48next open the leftover hair lift the braid and lightly tease the loose hair this adds a little weight to
01:58the style and can create a base if you want to further style into a messy bun we love it
02:05just loose and soft
02:07the final step is to use our fingers to just loosen and tousle the braid make sure it's incorporated into
02:16the hair so here's our final look the hidden braid is soft flowy and easy to do
