00:00Some moves don't need a variation. This one does.
00:04There's a time to let loose and relax the tension in the body.
00:08This is not one of those times.
00:09Let's begin with a side plank position.
00:11Keep your body stiff as a board. You're the plank.
00:14Your toes are facing the front of the room.
00:15Your fingers on the hand that's holding up your body
00:17should be spread apart as wide as possible.
00:20Doing this will give you a firm base.
00:22Thighs and core are totally engaged.
00:24Now, move the hand that's resting on your outside leg slowly under your side.
00:27Feel those obliques.
00:28Then gracefully move your arm up and extend it to the ceiling.
00:31The back of your hand should be facing the back of the room.
00:34Always remember to follow your arm with your eyes.
00:36This will trick your balance, making your core work even harder.
00:40If you need a modified pose, come down on your forearm.
00:49Even more of a modification, put one knee down on the floor or mat.
00:53For an ideal core workout, you'll want to do 10 reps on each side.
00:58Okay now, relax.
00:59Okay now, relax.
01:02Peace.
01:03I'll talk to you tomorrow.
