00:05Hey, guys. It's Megan from Refinery29. I'm in the Beauty Test Lab today, and today we're
00:10going to be trying out these new stick-on eyeliners from a brand called Nail Rock. These
00:15are called Eye Rock Designer Liners. What they are are basically tape that has black
00:21liner printed on top of it. You stick them on your eyes, and it gives you the effect
00:27of having really thick liquid liner on. These are a good option for people who may not be
00:31that handy with liner, or if you just don't want to take the time to create some really
00:35elaborate designs. They have some cool ones, and you can try it out. What you're going to
00:40need handy are a pair of scissors because you are going to need to trim them to fit your eye
00:44shape.
00:45What you're going to do is I'm going to do this really long, crazy-looking one down here,
00:50and what you do with it is you just peel it off. I kind of do this to kind of
00:54loosen up the edges a
00:55bit so you can see where they are. Then you just take it and peel it off, just like that.
01:04What I do
01:04is I hold it up to my lash line so I can kind of see where I'm going with it.
01:13I'll see that there's
01:15way too much extra here, so what I'm going to do is cut it down probably right about in here.
01:21I'm
01:22going to do a little bit of an angle, just like that. It is a little bit tricky because you
01:31have
01:31to have your eyelashes out of the way. A good idea for this, you don't want any oil or things
01:36that
01:36are going to take some of the stickiness away, so make sure you don't have eye makeup on. You can
01:39apply the eye makeup after you put the liner on, so your mascara and all that stuff. I have a
01:43clean eye
01:44right now. What I'm going to do is get close to the line, and I'm going to close my eye.
01:50It's easy to
01:50fit it close to your inner corner and then work your way out. Then I'm just pressing it up
02:02and down. I'm pressing it onto my eye to make it stick, not too hard because your eyes are very
02:10delicate. There you go. I've got my liner on. The key here is to not handle it too much because
02:16it
02:16loses its stickiness, so the less you can touch it, the better. Also, it does feel a bit uncomfortable
02:22because it is tape, so be prepared for a kind of tugging feeling when you blink. You get used to
02:28it
02:29after a while, but it is a little disconcerting in the start of the application process, but that's
02:35totally normal. I've got them both on now. You can see it looks just like liquid liner. That would
02:40mean in our final analysis in the test lab that the Nail Rock, Eye Rock designer liners are a pass,
02:45but I will add a disclaimer and say that I wouldn't use them for a full day makeup look because
02:51I just
02:51don't think they're going to stick and stay that long. I would recommend them for if you're going out
02:56for a night on the town or drinks or something like that. A couple of hours would be a better
03:00option,
03:01but overall they're pretty cool, they're pretty easy to use, and they look really fun.
