00:10going to be testing out Ilamasqua's new rubber nail varnishes. What is a rubber nail varnish,
00:16you may ask? Well, it is this really awesome thing which makes your nails look like they
00:19have bits of rubber attached to them, which is a lot cooler than it sounds. It does this thing
00:25where it combines a jelly finish and a matte finish and turns it into this thing that's
00:30all really, really, really special and fun to look at. So it retails for $14 at Sephora
00:35and comes in 10 colors and I have six of them right here. So let's play around with them.
00:41So I fiddled around with this a little before and I know now that you should probably use
00:46a base coat if you want to use these just because these polishes tend to stain a little bit.
00:50So let's play around with them. Let's go with, I'll do blue first. The polishes go on just
01:00like any other polish. So for a jelly polish, which this is half of, the polishes are pretty
01:09opaque, so you don't need too many coats.
01:22And the first coat is pretty much dry, so I'm going to go over it one more time.
01:29Now they're going to look dry and they're going to feel dry, but don't touch them. I made the
01:35mistake last time I did it and I have ruined all my nails and had to start over again. So
01:39they're, they're kind of dry to the touch, but that does not mean that they're dry.
01:42They just feel rubbery, which is, you know, means they're working.
01:46So once it's dry, it looks like this and you can go ahead and put a top coat on it
01:51if you
01:51want, but I would rather not just because it makes it a little bit shiny and that defeats
01:55the purpose of having rubber nails in the first place.
01:58But since the mask was already really like high end brand with a really strong formula, I find
02:03that it tends to just last without the top coat anyways.
02:06The blue and the green and also the purple.
02:09I didn't use that one because I only have five fingers.
02:11They tend to look the most rubbery.
02:14If you look, the red and the pink kind of just like look like dull nails.
02:19So if you're going to buy one of them, I suggest going for like the blues and the greens and
02:22the purples.
02:23Like I said, I give this a pass.
02:26It's just a really fun option.
02:28And if you are a nail art enthusiast and you already have the mats, you have the jellies,
02:33you have just the regular colors, you know, why not get something like this for $14 is a
02:37pretty impactful nail varnish to have.
02:42I really don't have anything to say about this one, so pass.
