08:49Well, a lot of the locker room that I've talked to in the past
08:52has thought Ibushi was a bit of a, I mean, I'll use the word flake, Kevin.
08:56That's an apropos description that I've heard several times.
09:00That as soon as something doesn't go the way he wants it,
09:02instead of trying to fix it, he disappears.
09:05Well, that's been sort of the way he's carved out his whole career.
09:09And listen to the people roar here at Dominion.
09:12Yeah, but it was four or five years ago because of the reaction from Osako.
09:17And the Behrman hate they had for Naito.
09:21But Naito did disappear, took a trip to Mexico, and became El Ngovanabe.
09:29I cannot believe how lean and ripped Ibushi looks.
09:33I didn't think it could get any more ripped, but it has.
09:37He's dropped about 10 pounds.
09:40That'll make him even quicker.
09:42And he was already among the quickest guys on the planet.
09:50Naito will look to dictate the pace.
09:53And we know what pace that is, 100 miles an hour.
09:59And they begin with a furious lockup.
10:02A Kalanobo tie-up at center ring.
10:04Ibushi takes the side headlock.
10:07Naito trying a top wrist lock, but Ibushi will keep him right there.
10:11It's very important for Ibushi in this match, game plan-wise, to not let Naito get in his head.
10:17Of course, that's exactly what Naito loves to do.
10:23And those words of Naito that Chris alluded to.
10:27Swing and a miss with the elbow.
10:29Ibushi leapfrogged.
10:30Naito, sunset flip.
10:32Ibushi rolls through.
10:33BK, arm drag, head scissors, kick out.
10:39Oh, fed up into that one, and Ibushi nailed it.
10:43For Naito to say that he hates Ibushi, he's trying to affect him mentally and emotionally.
10:49He knows the type of athlete Ibushi is.
10:53And he knows that if he says things like that hate and tries to drive the emotional narrative,
10:58that's Naito's way of seizing control.
11:00At least that's the way I saw it.
11:02Yeah, I mean, they've known each other for a long, long time.
11:05I mean, they're part of what they call the 1982 club of Ibushi, Naito, Taiji Ishimori, Shingo Takagi as well.
11:12They've known each other for a long time.
11:13They have been close friends in the past.
11:16Ibushi's an emotional young man, and it's a hard thing to hear when someone tells you,
11:22look, no one likes you in this locker room.
11:24No one wants you here.
11:26He's playing off it, as you suggest.
11:28Hip toss.
11:29Drop kick to the back.
11:30Catches him.
11:30Left shoulder.
11:33The signature taunt from Tetsuya Naito.
11:37A signal to the LIJ supporters here at ringside.
11:40But then the Osaka crowd.
11:44And that's a time when it was the fans in Mexico that hurled racial slurs.
11:52That was the taunt he did to throw it in their face.
11:55Yeah, the signature taunt born of xenophobia that Naito experienced in the Osaka crowd.
12:04Ever combative.
12:08And now Naito's going to keep Ibushi right there.
12:15Almost a full Nelson here, but using the leg, strongest part of the body instead of the arms.
12:23Yeah, anything you can do to Ibushi to keep him off a vertical base, because as we said, he's a
12:28world-class high-level striker.
12:32And, of course, the cervical neck issues of Ibushi have been widely discussed, and Naito is targeting that body part.
12:42Ibushi trying to pop the hips, and that drapes his legs over the bottom rope.
12:46That will force the break.
12:48And Naito taking his time.
12:52Naito saying he can't release the hold.
12:55That's a new one.
13:01What is this, a paradise lock?
13:03Come on, let go of it.
13:05He stayed in that hold way, way, way beyond the referee's call to break.
13:14And Naito, of course, not shy about wearing the black hat, if that's what the situation calls for.
13:22Forearm into the chest, but not much on it from Ibushi.
13:34Man, the fans are really getting what Naito meant.
13:37I have a feeling a lot of people that are booing Naito right now are wearing LIJ merchandise.
13:54Oh, Tetsuya Naito and Osaka.
13:56You could write a book about it, couldn't you, Chris?
13:59I mean, when Naito won the IWGP Championship back in 2016,
14:04defended it here against Kazuchika Okada, he said,
14:06you know, that was after Tokyo fell in love with Naito.
14:10He deliberately said, hey, come on, Osaka, I want you to be.
14:13And so now the outside force,
14:2112,000 strong here in Osaka,
14:24Joe Hall have played a role in this matchup.
14:27And now lateral press to the kickout.
14:34Renshu's got knocked down and spat upon.
14:50Ibushi had won two in a row over Naito.
14:53First round victory in the New Japan Cup.
14:55That win earned him the Intercontinental title shot.
14:59The G1 Supercard Ibushi collected.
15:02This is where Ibushi likes to get into the striking.
15:06And he is quick as a hiccup when he does.
15:11To the eyes instead of the forearm.
15:26Inverted atomic drop.
15:28Naito now.
15:29Oh, the job.
15:30Oh, got it.
15:37Watch this.
15:43One boot into the chest.
15:44The other one directly into the bicep of Naito.
15:51Naito Ibushi both said that
15:53the tide of rematches said this.
15:56Let's make this the last one.
15:58Let's end it here.
16:00And for those of us who
16:03worry about the long-term effects of these matches
16:06between these two, that's not a bad thing.
16:09Kevin, you said earlier Naito would look to dictate pace.
16:12Up till now, it's been all Naito.
16:16Oh, but Ibushi catches it.
16:18Snap Rana.
16:19And Naito out to the floor.
16:21But Naito's had the advantage,
16:23but he might not be enjoying it for much longer.
16:29And the Patriots in Osaka firmly behind
16:32Kota Ibushi.
16:34Pescato.
16:35Parchs for Pescato.
16:38Looks like he caught Naito
16:40on the point of the chin with his left knee.
16:42Executing that Parchs for.
16:44Let's have a look at it.
16:46Oh.
16:47Yep.
16:49The neck, too.
16:52Parchs for Pascato.
16:53Parchs for Pascato.
16:56Parchs for Pascato.
16:58It's a prop.
16:59Ibushi trying to loosen up
16:59that neck from that submission
17:01from what five minutes ago.
17:04And Ibushi very quickly rolls Naito in.
17:06He'll try to win via pinfall.
17:10Oh.
17:19Ibushi also defeated Tetsuya Naito
17:22not just two in a row this year,
17:23mais durant la compétition de l'année dernière.
17:28Il a won 3 straight après dropping 2 en a row.
17:33Manage switch.
17:37Waist lock.
17:39Bushi elbows his way out.
17:44Naito watch the fly for him.
17:46Noa Bushi catches half and half.
17:48Throws Naito on his head.
17:49He rolls through.
17:50Naito comes forward.
17:52Swing in DDT.
17:53Oh, Naito could not answer.
17:55Got dropped straight on his head.
17:58Naito and Naito for the Intercontinental title.
18:13The same fans that were booing Naito are now throwing on in to wake up.
18:17A lot of trauma to the necks of both men in this match so far.
18:21Naito, Naito, Naito, Naito, Naito, Naito.
18:27They love me, they hate me.
18:30All within the span of about five minutes.
18:32Naito, Naito, Naito, Naito.
18:35Fascinating the control that this man has over the crowd.
18:39Naito implemented against above against it.
18:40And now,ужii.
18:42One-legged dropkick.
18:45Two.
18:46And Ufushi able to kick out.
18:47But that kick was there, Don.
18:49He folded him in half again.
18:51Landing him on that neck.
18:53Good strategy for Naito.
19:02Sous-titrage Société Radio-Canada
19:29Sous-titrage Société Radio-Canada
19:55Ibushi's boot into the spine, the low spine of Naito.
20:06Watch the deadlift German suplex from the ropes.
20:15We know Ibushi's flying ability, but his strength is incredible.
20:21And this would be a display of it here if he's able to do this.
20:25Oh, wow. I don't think he can get him over.
20:28Too much abuse.
20:32Watch out how Naito has Ibushi...
20:35Yeah, I remember the New Japan Cup.
20:40Naito has a bad idea in mind for the neck of Kota.
20:45Naito just collapsed there.
20:47And Ibushi's got a target in mind, and that's the floor below.
20:53Desperately trying to get him over on that...
20:55German under the floor, and Naito holding on for dear life.
21:06Watch out, watch out, watch out.
21:10Shades of New York...
21:12Oh, that's gonna...
21:13Now moving the...
21:17Photographers...
21:22Death grip from Ibushi on that top strand.
21:25He knows what will happen if Naito's able to execute.
21:28There you go.
21:29There you go.
21:31There you go.
21:34There you go.
21:37Are you kidding?
21:38Oh, Jesus!
21:39Oh, my God.
21:41He hit his head.
21:42Oh, my God.
21:43I think Kota is out.
21:45Kota Ibushi's head hit the edge of the ring frame as he went over.
21:49We'll take another look.
21:51If you're squeamish, close your eyes.
21:54There he is.
21:54There he is.
21:54Oh, my God.
21:55Oh, my God.
21:56Oh, my God.
21:59This is...
22:01Two...
22:02Three!
22:03Four!
22:05Five!
22:06Five!
22:07Puss silence over the crowd here, over concern for Kota.
22:13Red Shoe's having to do his job here and get to the count.
22:17He can't quicken the pace.
22:18He's gotta count, same cadence no matter what.
22:21But he knows that Kota Virgina is done for.
22:23Et Tepsiya Naito est en train d'accompagnement le titre par le count-out.
22:33Just barely, just barely, je ne peux pas croire ça.
22:38Je ne suis pas sûr que c'est ce qui est smart.
22:41Alors, Kota Ibushi...
22:45Kota's eyes, je ne pense pas qu'ils sont open.
22:47Yeah, c'est...
22:54Side of Ibushi's head, hit the ring as he was being thrown to the floor violently.
23:00For God's sake.
23:02Tetsuya Naito will finish Kota Ibushi here for sure.
23:07Yeah, I would not hate to see a ref stoppage here.
23:11I think Kota is helpless.
23:12Oh my God!
23:13Oh my God!
23:16All the way down, a trigger poison on him.
23:20But Ibushi kicks out!
23:21Ow!
23:24Guys, he's just...
23:26He's running on empty.
23:27Like, Ibushi...
23:29Like, get on with Ibushi.
23:33Bring up the arm!
23:36Yes!
23:37He...
23:38Ibushi blocks it!
23:40He's got him!
23:42Oh no!
23:43Watch out!
23:47Oh!
23:49Spikes him!
23:52Lakota can't fall off of the pin!
23:56Now, front men are destroyed!
24:00Another look!
24:06Oh, that neck compression!
24:22Red Shoes will start the count to ten.
24:25Three!
24:27Four!
24:28If neither get up, it'll be a draw!
24:32Six!
24:34Seven!
24:35Doesn't look like either man are gonna make it.
24:41Red Shoes knowing.
24:43He doesn't need somebody to get back to their feet, to be able to stop the count.
24:48Good call by Red Shoes there.
24:50Nobody wants to get back to their feet.
24:52My arm!
24:53Ibushi saying, come on!
24:55Telling Naito to hit him, after all he's gone through.
25:06Naito with a smile on his face.
