03:47aussi,
03:47les 4 Black Saints de New Japan Pro Wrestling.
05:40A victory for Taichi back at Wrestling Dontaku over Jeff Cobb.
05:48Gave our Holy Emperor the Never Openweight title for the second time.
06:05I feel like he's singing right to me Kevin.
06:14Super controversial, no doubt about it.
06:18Outspoken.
06:19Sometimes outrageous.
06:24But since stepping up into the heavyweight division, he's challenged for the Intercontinental title and he's a two time never
06:33openweight champion.
06:35And for Taichi to step in big spot Dominion, put it all on the line against Ishii.
06:45Remember Taichi issued the challenge to Ishii.
06:48Not the other way around.
06:50Does he have a trick up his sleeve?
06:52Does he have a trick up his sleeve?
06:54Or two?
06:55Or ten?
06:55There's no telling what Taichi will do to gain victory.
07:07I don't think Ishii respects Taichi at all Chris, I don't think he thinks he's much of a wrestler.
07:12No, but I think that speaks to what pushes Taichi's buttons is the desire to, you know, in a way
07:20he feels he doesn't get the respect he deserves.
07:23Well that's what happens when one of your big offensive moves is removing your Velcro pants and revealing a fall.
07:30That is the most electrifying move in professional wrestling today.
07:33Well I think what we're looking at.
07:34I'm sure from your perspective it is sailor boy.
07:41So Taichi who a year ago at Dominion talked his way, forced his way into the never open weight title
07:50situation and was the one taking the pinfall.
07:55But would not, and again he throws the title towards his challenger.
07:59He said the challenger should want to pick up the title when I throw it to him.
08:03He's done that repeatedly on the run-up to this title match.
08:06But again Ishii ignores Taichi and referee Marty Asami will hand it over to the timekeeper's table.
08:14That's why one of the side plates on that belt is loose.
08:18Because of some rough treatment.
08:21The physical war, Ishii versus Evil at Wrestling Don Taku.
08:27The same event where Taichi took the never open weight title.
08:33That was a great weekend of events in Fukuoka.
08:36Taichi still has that bag.
08:39Yeah.
08:40You know what's inside.
08:41The blue bag around his neck if we do get a shot of it was, of course, for years had
08:47been toted by Takashi Isuka who has since retired.
08:52But Taichi picked up that bag.
08:55Now, to his credit, Chris, ever since picking up that bag, he has not used it at all.
09:01Right.
09:01But historically that was the home of that iron finger glove.
09:05This would be a good night to use that because Ishii looks like he's ready for business.
09:09Taichi!
09:12Taichi!
09:13Taichi!
09:14Taichi!
09:16Taichi!
09:17Taichi!
09:17Taichi!
09:18Taichi!
09:19Taichi!
09:19It did used to be abject scorn from the New Japan crowds towards Taichi.
09:25But his willingness to show toughness on an occasional basis has garnered cheers from the fans occasionally.
09:32But slithering Taichi backs his way out of the ring onto the floor, perhaps in an effort to try to
09:41bait his challenger to greet him.
09:44One, two, three, three, four.
09:46We saw a lot of Taichi's mentor Toshiaki Kawada in their last meeting between Taichi and Ishii.
09:55And that's another thing, you know, Kawada, Taichi lives trying to earn the respect of his mentor Kawada, who always
10:02dismisses Taichi's effort every turn.
10:07Well, and the interesting thing here is that Ishii reminds me quite a bit of Kawada, not Taichi at all.
10:15And there's a, of course, the mentor of Ishii is Ricky Choshu.
10:20And getting to your tenure as well, a lot of tenure and a wider history going on here.
10:26Ishii completely laid on his back.
10:28He said, come on in, do whatever you want.
10:32I show no fear of you at all, Taichi.
10:38What are you doing, you SOB, says to Ishii?
10:43This might not be the right approach with Ishii.
10:47Taichi's trying to provoke Ishii.
10:49And I think he might have done it.
10:53Ishii got exactly what he wanted.
10:55He got Taichi in the ring.
10:58Come on.
11:03Taichi said, come on, and he came on.
11:05In his face.
11:10And now Ishii shoving his boots into Taichi.
11:17There's a significant lack of respect for Taichi in the current New Japan locker room.
11:24I think we can say there's just glimpses occasionally.
11:29Well, how come we don't get this kind of Taichi?
11:31Why does he only fight Ishii this way?
11:34Where he carries the fight to him straight forward.
11:37Everybody else, he runs and hides and avoids contact at all times.
11:42Why would you invite contact?
11:44Well, he seems to welcome it with Ishii is the point.
11:47Personal issues, draw money.
11:50Ishii with a heavy boot across his shoulder blades.
11:52I think Taichi thinks, hey, come on, Ishii, you're an outsider just like me deep down.
11:57But Ishii's become...
11:58Wait a minute now.
11:59Is Ishii gonna...
12:00Ishii gonna...
12:01So...
12:01Yeah.
12:04Look at all of this stuff.
12:06You don't need any of this.
12:07You don't need any of this.
12:09Let's have a straight up match.
12:11We don't need any of this junk.
12:14Well, everything's been thrown out of the corner.
12:21Now, come on.
12:23Nio Abe is running up the ramp to...
12:26Retrieve the items thrown by Ishii.
12:29I think that Mike's broken.
12:30She's trying to fix it.
12:41So the kicks of Taichi strikes from Ishii.
12:48Who will blink first?
13:00The answer might be neither of them.
13:06I'll tell you this, I'd rather be chopped than kicked in the leg 40 times,
13:11as is happening with Ishii.
13:13Oh, it's Ishii.
13:21Oh.
13:22Oh, nice.
13:24Oh.
13:27That's the Taichi that everybody wants to see.
13:31Ishii's able to draw it out of them.
13:32Oh.
13:35Oh.
13:36Oh.
13:37Oh.
13:37Oh.
13:38Oh.
13:38Oh.
13:39Oh.
13:39Oh.
13:49Oh.
13:49Going to the boot into the gut
13:54of Ishii in the corner.
14:04And Ishii is feeling the effects.
14:16C'est bon, c'est bon, c'est bon, c'est bon, c'est bon.
14:38C'est bon, c'est bon, c'est bon, c'est bon, c'est bon.
14:50C'est bon, c'est bon.
14:56Ishii hammering Tai Chi with headbutts.
15:00Low kick.
15:03Power slam.
15:06Tai Chi bounces off the mat. Ishii's collapsed.
15:10Ishii! Ishii!
15:31Ishii!
15:33Yeah, very tenure-like combinations in the corner.
15:36You do not want to be stuck in the corner with Ishii wailing away on you.
15:40Ishii extends the boot, keeps him away.
15:43Ishii comes forward, gets drilled.
15:53Oh, could it be done?
15:56Oh, yes!
16:00What a catch as well by Neil on the outside.
16:02Ishii.
16:03Yeah.
16:05Swing and a miss.
16:06Waist lock.
16:10He'll spin around.
16:12Vertical drop.
16:12Brain buster.
16:13No.
16:15Ooh.
16:17Tai Chi comes forward.
16:19Blasts him again.
16:23The multiple kicks from Tai Chi continues to score time and time again.
16:33But the repetitive chops and forearms from Ishii have slowed Tai Chi.
16:39Miho Abe in the corner encouraging Tai Chi.
16:49Axe bomber.
16:51Blot.
16:57Another kick.
16:58Side of the head.
16:59Axe bomber from behind.
17:01Gabit Geary.
17:02Down goes Ishii.
17:05Tai Chi has had a lot of success using his feet tonight.
17:16Now physically confident of menacing Tai Chi.
17:20Circling Ishii.
17:22Closing in.
17:23Can he put him away?
17:27Oh!
17:29Saito on the head.
17:30One, two, and a kick out but just barely.
17:35Will we get another look at the incredible high angle suplex from Tai Chi?
17:46Again, dangerous tee tonight.
17:56Now Ishii with an answer.
17:58One of his own.
17:59Slight delay there.
18:01A little hitch on the way over from the punishment he received his moments before.
18:06And Ishii is clutching his neck.
18:11Point of impact of the suplex that Ishii absorbed directly on his neck.
18:19Tai Chi felt the effect of Ishii's suplex as well.
18:22Okay.
18:27Neither man able to enjoy an advantage of offensive success for long.
18:35Oh, come on.
18:36That's not enough.
18:37He wants more.
18:43And he wants more in the leg as well.
18:45I'd go up high here with a kick.
18:48He tried instead.
18:50The German two points.
18:56Now Ishii.
18:58Closing in.
18:59Underneath.
19:00Pushes the referee directly into the path of Ishii.
19:04Veteran move.
19:06Watch the low blow.
19:08Head put.
19:09Oh, Kawasaki kiss.
19:12Oh, no.
19:14Again thwarted.
19:15Oh, Lord.
19:21The referee's still down after Tai Chi pulled him.
19:24Pulled Marty Asami to the path of Ishii.
19:34And now Ishii anticipating.
19:36Can't wait.
19:37Goes forward.
19:38No.
19:40And now Ishii.
19:44Times it perfectly.
19:46Yes.
19:47Two.
19:47And a kick out.
19:49Referee Marty Asami back up.
19:51Dare to count the near fall.
19:57Sliding Lariat.
20:01Out of the way.
20:03Low angle kick that time.
20:09Sliding axe bomber from Tai Chi.
20:11Kato clutch.
20:12Kato clutch.
20:13Shoulders down.
20:14Two.
20:15Oh, come on.
20:16That is as close to a three as you'll get.
20:27To Tai Chi and Ishii in the never open way title hanging in the balance.
20:46It looks now Ishii will be the one in control here if he can capitalize another axe bomber miss.
20:57Oh, he didn't miss that time with the axe bomber.
21:05Now a nod to Kawada.
21:07The safe edge video.
21:10The stretch plum.
21:11Inversion of the stretch plum.
21:13The submission hold.
21:15And it is locked in tight on Tomohiro Ishii in the center of the ring.
21:18And he wrenches and Ishii might tap.
21:29And another full torque.
21:33And he's got him almost dead center.
21:36It's going to be tough for Ishii to make a rope break here.
21:39Ishii might be out.
21:41Asami's checking.
21:43He does not get enough signal from Ishii.
21:47He might have a stoppage.
21:58And now Tai Chi.
22:02Fist it.
22:03Locked it, I think, to Tai Chi.
22:05And the buzzsaw kick on the money.
22:15Captured the title back in September for the first time with Black Mephisto.
22:22And he might be looking to hit this here.
22:25Can he do it?
22:26Yes, he.
22:28No, he can't.
22:30Because Ishii.
22:33Another kick.
22:35Dead center on the money.
22:37Here we go.
22:39Last ride.
22:41Oh.
22:42One, two, and Ishii kicks out.
22:46How does he do it?
22:52Stucked him on that power ball.
22:54And I'm going to move on.
22:59Tai Chi's got to be asking himself what it's going to take to put Ishii away.
23:06For a title that's changed hands eight times in the last 12 months.
23:13The challenger certainly feels confident.
23:18Mais le champion semble être le premier qui s'est prêt à mettre de l'aise.
23:24Non !
23:27Ishii !
23:28Ishii catches a boot
23:30et drills Taichi avec un kick de zone.
23:35Head kick de notre challenger.
23:36.
23:46.
23:47.
23:53Comes forward.
23:56She stops him.
23:59Now peppering Taichi.
24:02.
24:06Another head kick.
24:09.
24:09Ishii shrugs it off.
24:12Plants him.
24:13That's it.
24:14Leg.
24:15Hook.
24:20Taichi not wanting to give in.
24:22He kicks out at two.
24:26Vertigo drop brain buster from Ishii.
24:30On the way.
24:35Taichi.
24:36Great counter.
24:39Now he throws some.
24:41Ishii has forearms and a big one.
24:46He'll try Black Mephisto again.
24:48No powerbomb counter.
24:52Ishii sliding layer in.
24:54Sliding layer in.
24:55Traps the legs too.
24:56And a kick out.
25:04He's got it though.
25:06Vertigo drop brain buster.
25:11And for the fifth time.
25:15Tomohiro Ishii is the never openweight champion.
25:28Tomohiro Ishii.
25:29Great showing by Taichi though you gotta say.
25:32Can't say Taichi was anything but tough.
25:36Yeah.
25:37Anything but fierce.
25:42But more toughness.
25:44More ferocity.
25:46And at the end the vertical drop brain buster Tomohiro Ishii.
25:50Now sits atop the record book.
25:53The all time winningest never openweight champion.
25:58Tomohiro Ishii.
25:59Tomohiro Ishii now five different times in his career.
26:04Tomohiro Ishii now five different times in his career.
26:06The replay look done.
26:08Watch this now.
26:11Oh.
26:13Back of the head.
26:14You're not getting up from that.
26:17And for someone who may have been viewed as a black sheep at one time.
26:23Tomohiro Ishii has earned the respect of not only his fans but his peers.
26:27Because of his toughness.
26:29Because of his willingness to fight.
26:31And if Taichi fought everybody the way he fights Tomohiro Ishii.
26:35He would be able to shrug the feeling of being a black sheep.
26:43Because the Taichi that we saw here against Ishii is the one we want to see each and every match.
27:00For two years in a row at Dominion.
27:03Taichi tasting defeat.
27:05In the never openweight title match.
27:10And Tomohiro Ishii I'm sure will welcome any and all challengers.
27:19Tomohiro Ishii once again the never openweight champion.
27:24And up next the IWGP heavyweight tag team titles are on the line.
27:28The champs the Gorillas of Destiny defend against Evil and Sonata.
27:37I'm sorry.
27:37It's a line from the start of May 3.
27:38What is going on now?
27:38What is the zoys록?
27:38He's going on then.
27:38Any other questions?
27:38We've got all the answers.
