Papa Zoot Band — SWF-Session 1973 (1973-1974) (Germany, Krautrock-Heavy Progressive Rock)

A band from Frankfurt am Main (in the state of Hesse) that was active from 1966 to 1975. The Papa Zoot Band spent 1973–74 touring throughout Germany, performing not only in clubs but also at rock festivals, such as the German Pop Meeting in Essen. The group played expansive, dramatic compositions, comparable to the music of Nektar, Eloy, Jane, or Pink Floyd. Incredibly, the Papa Zoot Band never recorded a studio album. In 1975, following countless club and festival appearances, the band broke up.
