00:00Hello, very good day to you. A big talking point with our weather this week is the high pressure.
00:05Now, this high pressure is going to be sticking around for quite a while, and it's sitting just to the
00:11north of the UK,
00:12looking further south, and the isobars are relatively close together, indicating there's a fairly brisk breeze.
00:19As we go through this week, those isobars will come further apart, and so the winds here will be dropping
00:25out.
00:25But for the time being, yes, it is quite blustery across those southeastern parts in particular,
00:31a northeasterly wind piling in some showers.
00:34The showers will be most frequent across parts of the southeast, East Anglia, perhaps London, also Kent,
00:39seeing a fair few through the afternoon, and there will be some showers across many other eastern parts,
00:43a few spreading towards western areas.
00:46But there will also be some bright sunny spells for most of us, and while temperatures are near normal for
00:52the time of year,
00:52generally getting into double digits, highs of around 11 or 12 Celsius in the north, maybe 13 or 14 Celsius
01:00further south.
01:00But let's factor in that breeze, and if we look at the feels-like temperatures,
01:05while it is going to feel a few degrees colder than those temperatures on paper that I just showed you
01:10may suggest,
01:11a bit of a chilly feel, especially in the south, with that breeze coming in from the northeast.
01:16As we go later on, still some showers coming in, but through the evening and overnight,
01:20the position of the showers will change a little bit because the high shifts a little,
01:25and so we see our winds coming in from more of an easterly direction rather than a northeasterly.
01:30So expect through the early hours of Wednesday morning some showers across parts of the west country,
01:34and some showers maybe feeding in across parts of northern England, perhaps reaching parts of north Wales,
01:39and a few showers dotted around elsewhere, but in the southeast, turning markedly drier than it will have been through
01:45the day.
01:45It is going to be a chilly night again across northern parts, closer to the high pressure.
01:50We have those lighter winds, and with some clear skies,
01:52more temperatures could drop a few degrees below freezing in prone spots.
01:55So some frost in rural areas, and also some fog again to watch out for,
02:00could be locally dense and a bit slow to clear on Wednesday morning.
02:03But further south, whilst the winds are changing direction, there is still a fair breeze coming through,
02:08so that will stop temperatures dropping too low and prevent much mist and fog developing here.
02:14Through Wednesday then, a few showers coming in from the east still,
02:17mostly likely around some parts of northern England,
02:21still some coming in off across east Anglia into some more central parts of England,
02:25and eventually reaching some western parts, parts of Wales as well.
02:29And similar to overnight, really, you can't rule out the odd shower here and there.
02:32But a much drier day in the southeast, very few, if any, showers reaching here,
02:38and also across much of Scotland, I'm not really expecting many showers as well.
02:42There will be some brighter, sunny spells, some decent sunshine actually for parts of east Anglia,
02:46but it's worth noting the air across us, well, it's getting slightly colder,
02:51so temperatures will be a degree or so down compared to today,
02:55and there is still a brisk breeze towards the south in particular,
02:58so still feeling pretty chilly indeed, despite the fact that there will be some sunshine.
03:02Out of the breeze, in the sunshine, well, not feeling too bad for early November.
03:08The high pressure that's around us at the moment, that continues as we go towards the end of the week.
03:13It's perhaps going to become a bit cloudier, with cloud getting trapped underneath the high,
03:18but nonetheless it's going to be largely dry with just a few showers at times.
03:22We do need to watch out for a bit of frost and fog developing overnight.
03:26If it's not radiation fog, it could be low cloud murkiness instead.
03:30That's always most likely towards the north, where we're closer towards the high.
03:33But, well, the generally dry weather is good news for anyone who has fireworks plans,
03:38as they are unlikely to be disrupted.
03:40We'll, of course, be keeping you up to date with the forecast as we get towards the celebrations,
03:45so stick with us on YouTube.
03:47Bye-bye.
