00:22to be given for a coach that was supposed to do big things at Florida State,
00:26but after the loss to Clemson over the weekend,
00:29in which Florida State in the second half just looked inept.
00:33I mean, really poor coaching, poor decisions, poor tackling,
00:36and Clemson gets a big win on the road.

00:40I was on the over for that game.
00:41It flew over, but Mike Norvell is officially out
00:45as the head coach of Florida State,
00:48and that's an interesting job
00:49because they could be going back
00:52to the guy who had the job before Mike Norvell,
00:55and if you're a Florida State fan,
00:58you are longing for the days of Bobby Bowden, right?
01:01You want to go back to when you were competing
01:03for national championships,
01:04but Jimbo Fisher had you competing
01:06for national championships,
01:08and he's lobbying to go back to Florida State.

01:15Does it work to go back to the old guy,
01:18the guy that was your coach before,
01:20or do you need someone who knows how to navigate
01:22the current NIL waters and transfer portal waters?
01:27Dabo Sweeney, it hasn't worked for him all that well.

01:31or are you going to go get a younger head coach
01:33that could come in and take this program back
01:35to where they want it to be?
01:36So very interesting job with deep pockets
01:39and a powerhouse sitting there waiting to be relit,
01:44I guess, or woken up
01:45because of the money that Florida State has,
01:47the prestige that they've got,
01:49and the conference that they play in,
01:51I mean, there's been talk about them
01:52going to the SEC forever,
01:53that Florida State has longed
01:55to go to the Southeastern Conference.
01:58Them having to watch Miami
02:00play for the national championship last year,
02:03they lost, but they played for it,
02:04and now Miami's the number one team.
02:06A lot of in-state pressure there
02:08for Florida State and Seminole fans
02:09wanting their program back.
02:11So Mike Norvell, out.
