00:00It took all of one play for Lamar Jackson, not because of an ankle, but because of a thumb injury
00:06to wrap up his season here.
00:09And then it didn't get any better from there in the quarterback room with Snoop Huntley.
00:14So what did we see in that game and why was the injury so significant?
00:21Well, craziness, right?
00:23We've all been waiting for him to come back and he comes back and the first play, we don't even
00:28get to see his ankle.
00:29We didn't even get to see him move.
00:31And he follows through on Greg Rousseau, hits his thumb, throwing hand, and the deformity was obvious.
00:37We talked about it on Twitter or X immediately.
00:40The athletic trainer covered it with a towel and that's a fracture slash dislocation.
00:45This is why surgery, that's why we ruled him out immediately.
00:49Look, if you can't grip it, you can't spin the ball.
00:52You can't play quarterback with a throwing hand thumb injury.
00:55As we've seen with Baker and other players recently, etc.
01:00And then Tyler Huntley goes down and by video, there's no official word yet.
01:06This is not a mild turf toe.
01:09This is going to be a significant turf toe.
01:11At this point, there's no question he's not playing on Thursday.
01:15We all know that.
01:16But I'd be surprised if he doesn't get put on injured reserve and you're out Tyler Huntley for four weeks.
01:22Does Lamar Jackson have a chance to come back this season?
01:27A chance, but, you know, why come back if the Ravens are out of it, right?
01:32I mean, by the end of the season, he's got a chance to come back week 17, week 18 or
01:37something like that.
01:38Maybe, but it just seems a little bit unlikely from a practical standpoint.
