00:00A federal grand jury has indicted Wagner Suarez de Alameda, his wife,
00:04Juliana Colucci, and 11 others, co-conspirators for their role in a wide-ranging fraud scheme
00:10that include mail and wire fraud, as well as marriage fraud. They posed themselves as a
00:15full-service immigration law firm, falsely claiming to have qualified attorneys who could
00:21seek immigration benefits for aliens to remain in the United States. They had no lawyers to
00:27accomplish that task. When the investigation began, our detectives worked in conjunction,
00:31along with Homeland Security, to dismantle this criminal enterprise, which has amassed millions
00:37of dollars by exploiting victims and their fear of removal from the United States. We have recovered
00:44nearly $1.7 million, belonging to approximately 200 victims. Those funds are still going through
00:50our forfeiture process, but it is our goal to return that money to the victims as soon as we
00:57were able to do so and come up with a system for that. While we have identified hundreds of victims,
01:02we know that there may be more out there. So if you're hearing this, please contact us and we will
01:09continue to investigate this organization.
