00:00Sometimes we refer to the fall as second severe weather season and here in November it's ramping up to some
00:05extent with storms thundering and rolling across the central plains. Check out this video from meteorologist and storm chaser Tony
00:12Lawback as heavy rain and strong winds blitzed through Oklahoma last night. There were a few tornado warnings last night
00:21and then additional threats today, midday today in Shreveport. Some of you had to take shelter. We had over 200
00:27,000 people under a tornado warning.
00:30And at one point it was even confirmed near Shreveport. So I suspect after a little more investigation is done
00:36by the weather service, we'll see a red dot just near or barely south of Shreveport on the list. We've
00:42also had some flooding and some damaging wind and some hail. So again, kind of a modest severe weather event
00:48last night. It wasn't off the charts active, but there were some problems and we had some some damaging wind
00:53and some hail.
00:54So through this evening, the severe threat marches away from Oklahoma and in through southern Missouri, Arkansas, we saw it
01:01in Shreveport, other parts of Louisiana and southeast Texas will also be facing some risk of damaging wind, hail and
01:08isolated tornado threat is still on the map too.
01:10So tonight, mainly this evening, Shreveport and Little Rock. Deeper into the night, we take a step east into Memphis,
01:16Jackson, New Orleans. You're going to have some widespread rain there. Big contrast in temperature. A low of 70 in
01:22New Orleans with that rain, but we're going to get down to 42 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
01:26So the temperatures are going to shift, turn cooler and much drier as well behind this outbound front. And this
01:33front's going to be moving through the southeast, ending the dry spell for many in the east eventually. But look
01:38at the clean slate then for Wednesday. The dry weather only lasts so long for some of us. You can
01:42see some snow in the mountains of Colorado, rain moving back into the plains by Thursday. We have some showers.
01:47This does not look like a severe weather producer for the most part. Maybe a couple will go severe near
01:52the Texas coast, but the central southern plains will get back into some rain.
01:55And then later into the week, again, you can see there's the Wednesday break. System rolls through Thursday. We're just
02:00kind of marking this as showers there for the south central plains. And then Friday, most of us will be
02:05dry. Still some action down into south Texas.
