00:00And it's kind of picking up with this southwestern storm where historic flooding turned deadly and forced thousands to evacuate.
00:06Video from Arizona shows just a few of the dozens of water rescues conducted across the state.
00:11This was amid that dangerous flooding over the weekend.
00:14Now, sadly, one person has died in Flagstaff, Arizona.
00:17This is after falling into floodwaters last night.
00:19That's according to Flagstaff police.
00:22Let's take you out to Dallas, Texas now as those storms are moving into the central U.S.
00:27Jeff's going to update us on what we need to watch moving forward here.
00:30It looks good right now in Dallas.
00:32There is a hint of cloud cover, but it's not a thick cloud cover.
00:35In fact, just kind of some mid to upper level clouds.
00:39Sun's going to set early tonight.
00:40Again, we did the change of the clock as daylight saving time has come to an end.
00:47And again, it's a little jarring the first few nights when that early sunset occurs.
00:51But we did buy a little more daylight in the morning for the early morning at the bus stop.
00:57First round of storms pooling east-northeast through Bartlesville, well east of Ponca City,
01:01into the northwestern suburbs of Tulsa in areas around Skiatook.
01:06Get ready for a thunderstorm here.
01:08Not quite severe in most cases.
01:10There have been a few severe storms, though.
01:11We have had some hail from the first round that moved through Norman, Oklahoma.
01:15One-inch diameter hail.
01:16But we're getting ready for more trouble, and we're really more concerned about this second band
01:20that's going to be pivoting through Oklahoma City.
01:22And there could be some rotating thunderstorms, not just in the evening, but even into the night.
01:26Heading a little farther north, you can see some thunderstorms in eastern parts of Nebraska.
01:30And this is still kind of exiting the area of Colorado, soaking rain, a few thunderstorms in southeast Colorado.
01:37And that snow is not over yet, but it's winding down, where we do have three ski resorts that have
01:42opened up.
01:42One, actually, in the area near Pagosa Springs was open Saturday.
01:48Then Sunday, they had to close operations down just for a day or two because of a mandatory evacuation due
01:54to flooding.
01:55So that's been a mess, and the Pagosa Springs area saw major flooding.
01:59But overall, as we take a look at the tornado watch here, it's running from Wichita Falls, Texas,
02:04all the way up to Hayes, Kansas, Wichita, Oklahoma City, Enid, Wichita Falls.
02:09A couple of bigger points to reference under this tornado watch.
02:11And here we're looking at that area with a fairly sizable zone with some risk of severe weather from Iowa
02:16down to San Antonio.
02:19But within this orange zone, that's where we have the most likely chance for isolated tornadoes, flash flooding, and damaging
02:25wind.
02:26It hails also on our concern list, although it is a little bit lower than some of the others.
02:31Again, there will be likely a few tornadoes that break out this evening.
02:34So that's a big concern here in the southern plains.
02:38Moving forward, here we are at 11 p.m.
02:39Again, storms still in eastern Oklahoma into north-central Texas.
02:43This is when Fort Worth and Dallas will get into it.
02:45We'll be watching these storms make a push into Arkansas late tonight and tomorrow morning.
02:49And then a new round of strong and severe storms from around Houston up into Louisiana, western Mississippi, eastern Arkansas.
02:55Memphis is in there, and the Missouri boot heel will face a risk tomorrow.
02:59So we're going to kick it down to a some risk.
03:02So from a 2 out of 4 today to a 1 out of 4 tomorrow.
03:06But the risk is still there, and we have some concerns again.
03:10By Wednesday, it moves into the southeast.
03:11We're drying out for most of the region.
03:13Kind of a clean slate here in the southern plains.
03:16Seventies went out, sixties to the north, and near 80 down in Corpus Christi.
