00:28welcome to chronic rain and flooding in the state. Wow, what a story, news story we've
00:38got here today. Man, it is really something and more coming. We've got, I think, several
00:45more storms ahead of us. It's really been quite remarkable. It's been beautiful to watch.
00:53I'm from Kansas and it rained and thunderstormed all the time there and I really enjoyed them.
00:58So I'm really enjoying this rain. Unfortunately, the flooding, of course, is not something
01:04anybody enjoys. And thanks for tuning in today. Got a good Bible study for you. Please remember
01:13our healing services are once a month, the last Friday of the month. And I'll tell you
01:17what, these things, these things are starting to take off. And I want to tell you something
01:25about these healing services. We're starting to develop the falling anointing. The falling
01:33anointing is when the anointing falls in a healing service and people are healed in their seats.
01:41Catherine Coleman had it, Mary Woodworth Etter had it, a couple others. It's really a special
01:47anointing. It's very, very different from having like Oral Roberts or Smith Wigglesworth where you
01:53had healing lines and you prayed for people one at a time. Ray Allen had healing lines.
02:00This falling anointing thing is something extremely special and it's going to be something that God's
02:06going to use in the future to chip in on this major revival he's got coming. I truly believe God's
02:15going
02:15to send a revival before this thing wraps up. He's going to try and gather in as many souls as
02:21he can
02:21before the Antichrist hammer drops.
02:29So please come to the healing service every month and please bring somebody that needs to get healed.
02:34Man, we had a dozen or so really good healings
02:38last Friday and we want to keep this thing going.
02:41Again, huge.
02:44Thursday and Friday nights are our normal services for healing, preaching, teaching, and deliverance.

03:27Our deliverance class is right after the worship service and it is literally booming.

03:40And our ladies service is Tuesday nights at 6.30.
03:43Ladies, please don't forget that.
03:45That service is going well.

04:59Today's Bible study, leaven.
05:01Wow, what an interesting concept leaven is, isn't it?
05:06Leaven is something you put in bread, obviously, but leaven is something that's little and you
05:11put it in and then it expands.
05:15Leaven.
05:17Leaven is a fascinating concept.
05:19Leaven is a fascinating concept.
05:19Check it out.
05:20In the Corinthian church, as you know, 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians, Paul wrote these letters,
05:28and they're incredibly interesting.
05:31He wrote these letters to a church that was carnal.
05:35They had a carnal church there.
05:38And Paul had to navigate through a church of carnality, which is fantastic material for us today because our churches
05:49are rife with carnality.
05:53Check this out, though.

05:55Chapter 5 in 1 Corinthians, Paul says, quote,
05:59Now, it is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication, as is not so much as
06:11named among the nations or the Gentiles,
06:13that one should have his father's wife.
06:18Now, something happened here, and the father either left the family or he died.
06:30We don't know what happened, but anyway, one of his sons looks at his stepmom, whatever she was doing.
06:45We don't know that either.
06:46We don't know what the structure of the family was.
06:49But we do know he was in some capacity his mother, and she was the wife of his dad.
06:58We know that for a fact.
07:02He says, Paul says, verse 2,
07:21Now, why is Paul saying that?
07:25He's saying that because once you let lust demons into your family,
07:32into your body, into your church, whatever it is,
07:36once you let those lust demons in, they all spread.
07:42For example, in Sodom and Gomorrah, and all the cities surrounding there,
07:49homosexuality had infected them.
07:54And it was like leaven.
07:56It started here, but then it went here.
08:00Okay.
08:00Now, God knows in the Old Testament, not in the New, but in the Old Testament,
08:06he knew that if homosexuality took off, there was no way to stop it.
08:13That's why there were such strict regulations against gay behavior and gay sex in the Old Testament.
08:25There were strict, strict rules against homosexuality because God knew,
08:35and we now know, that once homosexuality gets in, like leaven, it leavens the whole lump.
08:47Back in the 1950s, there was homosexuality, no question.
08:52There's been homosexuality throughout history.
08:56But, you see, today, it has progressed to the point where a little leaven leavens the whole lump, Jesus said.
09:05Now we've got a little leavens the whole lump.
09:22And Paul is telling them, look, this guy who has committed fornication, Greek word pornea,
09:32that means any form of sexual sin, any kind of sexual sin.
09:38Could be bestiality, could be homosexuality, could be adultery, whatever.
09:43Well, in this case, it was, I suppose, adultery and or incest.
09:49The guy is sleeping with his dad's wife.
09:52It's not his mother.
09:55So it's either, it's probably his stepmom.
09:59And he says, you are puffed up and have not rather mourned.
10:08To fail is the Greek word for mourning there.
10:12And it means to grieve, like you had lost a loved one.
10:16Paul said, with this kind of sin in your hurt, you should be grieving over it.
10:24And this guy should be removed from among you.
10:33Out the door.
10:37For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already,
10:43though I were present with you, concerning him that has done this deed.
10:51Paul said, you got to get him out of there.
10:53Because if you don't, this thing's going to spread like wildfire.
10:58Because a little leaven, Jesus said, leavens the whole lump.
11:04Correct?
11:06Yeah, absolutely.
11:08Leaven's the whole lump.
11:10But the parable of the kingdom of God is also leaven.
11:15See, there's bad leaven.
11:18And there's good leaven.
11:21And you remember the story.
11:24Matthew 13, Luke 13.
11:27Both had this parable.
11:29The kingdom of heaven is like leaven that a woman took and hid in three measures of flour.
11:38Until it was all leavened.
11:43Well, Jesus was talking about the kingdom of heaven, the kingdom of God, the power of the spirit.
11:51And he was talking about the kingdom of heaven.
11:55And he was talking about how the word of God starts small.
11:59And if you keep watering it, it spreads.
12:03And pretty soon it takes over.
12:08Well, as you know, sin in your life is the same way.
12:11A little bit of sin here, as you water it, starts growing and spreading.
12:16Right?
12:20There's bad leaven.
12:22There's good leaven and there's bad leaven.
12:26Right?
12:27And the question is, what are you?
12:36Jesus had fed thousands and thousands of people one day.
12:40You remember that?
12:41And then Mark chapter 8, you know, they get on the boat.
12:46And Jesus says to them, watch out and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.
12:59And it also says, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.
13:06What are they talking about there?
13:08Well, he's talking about what we face today.
13:12TV preachers, megachurch pastors, people who teach true doctrine, but they throw in a little bit of bad leaven.
13:24They teach good leaven.
13:27Then they throw in this bad leaven in there.
13:30And that's what satanic cults do.
13:32They teach things that are true.
13:35And then they throw in these little pockets of bad leaven.
13:44And the disciples say to themselves, oh, man, we forgot to bring the leftover bread from feeding 5,000.
13:55Oh, shoot.
13:57That must be what he's talking about.
13:59Jesus then plows into them with, you got to be kidding.
14:05He does a John McEnroe on the 12 disciples.
14:09You cannot be serious.
14:13I'm not talking about the fact you forgot the bread.
14:17You forgot the leftover bread, Einstein.
14:21What Jesus was talking about was something very important.
14:28And it is what?
14:33The leaven, the teachings of the Pharisees.
14:40He says, have your eyes.
14:43You have eyes, but you don't see.
14:45You have ears, but you don't hear.
14:48Do you not remember?
14:51That's what Jesus said.
14:52Do you not remember?
14:54Remember?
14:56And that's what happens.
14:58A little bit of false teaching, a little bit of sin, a little bit of leaven gets into the bread.
15:05And suddenly, wow, literal nightmare happens.
15:12Boom.
15:14It starts spreading.
15:16A teeny, a tiny tumor of cancer.
15:19Tumor starts like that.
15:21And then it spreads to full-blown cancer.
15:26Cancer.
15:28Full-blown cancer.
15:33Here in Arizona, we love rain.
15:36Okay.
15:37But we don't love a lot of rain.
15:41Okay.
15:44I know that sounds nuts, doesn't it?
15:47Yeah.
15:47Because our ground out here, and Nevada is the same way.
15:50The ground here in the desert areas has been so depleted for so many centuries that it's not like dirt.
16:00Like when I came from Kansas, like when I came from Kansas, the ground there, it absorbed, it'll absorb a
16:07pretty big rainstorm, pretty big thunderstorm.
16:11Here in Arizona, and in places in Nevada, they're the same as we are, some places in Utah.
16:18The ground is so useless that the water lands on it.
16:26It doesn't absorb it.
16:27It doesn't absorb it.
16:29And so you see all around the valley, everywhere here, they have them in Nevada too, are these washes.
16:37And these washes are bone dry for literally years.
16:44There's no water at all in them.
16:46We have rivers here in Phoenix, believe it or not.
16:50We have rivers here that have no water in them.
16:54There's no.
16:56We have rivers of zero water, but a little leaven leavens the whole lump.
17:03Now, during this last season, and it's happening in Nevada as well, and Utah, we are getting hit with rain,
17:14some real rain.
17:17You know, in the Midwest, this type of rain would be no big deal.
17:21Now, here, it's traumatizing us.
17:26We have so many floods around the valley, you wouldn't even believe it.
17:29So many streets underwater.
17:31So many homes are soaked.
17:33I mean, just in Nevada alone, 4 million homes.
17:384 million homes.
17:39Henderson, Nevada, I think half the town got flooded out.
17:43It's unbelievable.
17:45A little leaven leavens the whole lump.
17:49In a span of 10 years, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona, we get almost no rain.
17:56But a little, little rain during one season, a little contaminates the whole lump.
18:03A little tumor contaminates the whole body.
18:06And a little word of God that you water and nourish grows into being a monster.
18:23A monster.
18:25Many years ago, Oral Roberts started his miracle ministry back in the 50s.
18:35And it was really something spectacular.
18:38I've told you the story of Oral Roberts several times.
18:41The short version was he got tired of pastoring a church in Enid, Oklahoma.
18:50Because he wanted to see the power of God move.
18:52So he spent a long time fasting.
18:55And then he stepped out on faith and started his miracle ministry at the auditorium in downtown Eden.
19:05And from that moment on, he left pastoring and went into this spectacular healing ministry.
19:12Well, a guy named A.A. Allen, who was a full-blown alcoholic when he was eight years old,
19:19went to one of his meetings.
19:21And he saw all these people getting healed.
19:26He was absolutely mesmerized.
19:29A little leaven leavens the whole lump.
19:33See, a little bit of the Word of God from Oral Roberts got into A.A. Allen's spirit man.
19:40And this guy had a miracle ministry greater than Oral Roberts had.
19:49What happened there?
19:51Well, one service, a little leaven, the parable of the leaven of the kingdom of God is what it was.
20:03If you can take a small piece of the Word of God and keep watering it and nurturing it
20:11and kneading it and massaging it and lifting it up,
20:17that will grow to be the biggest tree, the parable of the fig tree.
20:25The seed of a fig tree is only that big, but if you keep watering it and nurturing it,
20:31it grows into the mightiest of all trees, Jesus said.
20:35A little leaven leavens the whole lump.
20:40You start losing your focus during your marriage and you start thinking a certain way to your spouse.
20:48At first, it's kind of a joke.
20:50At first, it's a little bit of sarcasm and so on.
20:53But later on, that little method of treating your spouse, tiny little like laughing or disrespectfully or something,
21:02that little thing all of a sudden starts to grow into now you've got a big mouth.
21:09Now you are saying things to your spouse you should never say.
21:13You're being overly critical.
21:15You're noticing everything they do wrong.
21:18You keep running your mouth like a busted chainsaw.
21:20But it never starts out like that.
21:23It always starts just a little bit.
21:25Why'd you do that?
21:27What are you doing?
21:29Oh, man, you blew it that.
21:31You know, just little teeny things.
21:34Boom.
21:37When you're working with people who are mentally ill or have demons of rejection,
21:44you start out with just little things.
21:47Compliments, encouragement.
21:51Kind of pats on the fanny.
21:53You're doing good.
21:56You start out with one scripture.
21:58Not 50 scriptures.
21:59One.
22:00Let's work on one.
22:01And then you go to two.
22:03And pretty soon, a little leaven leavens the whole lump.
22:07Pretty soon, the person is starting to renew their mind on their own without you around
22:11and without you having to do it for them or help them with it.
22:17What Jesus was talking about there was the leaven of life.
22:22That's really what it is.
22:24That's how leaven works.
22:27The leaven of life.
22:33It's the same way you learn anything.
22:37You start out with a little bit and then boom.
22:42You go like that.
22:46She came in to see me for counseling one day.
22:48She had terrible, horrible lust demon.
22:53She had been very promiscuous when she was young.
22:56She had been raped three or four different times over a couple of decades.
23:02And this woman was emotionally in very bad shape.
23:09And she went on to explain to me, without going into detail, that you never start out promiscuous in life.
23:18You never do that.
23:20Nobody ever does.
23:22It just starts with one incident, one molestation, one sexual experience.
23:30And it's just one thing.
23:34And the second one.
23:37Then the third one.
23:39Then it explodes.
23:44If you've ever done any counseling of prostitutes, I have.
23:49They weren't born prostitutes.
23:57Prostitution is not something you had in the womb.
24:04You are molded by demons to become a prostitute.
24:11And they always start out small.
24:14It's just one molestation, one sexual experience, one forced sexual experience.
24:23Later on, a rape and on and on it goes.
24:28Because a little leaven will leaven the whole lump.
24:32Life leaven works that way.
24:35That's how it works.
24:38Becoming a spiritual giant works exactly the same way.
24:43A little leaven of the kingdom of God, as Jesus said, the kingdom of God is like leaven.
24:52You put a little of it in, and if you keep watering and nurturing it,
24:59man, it's powerful.
25:03It's like you wouldn't believe.
25:07Back in 2004, I was in desperate spiritual need.
25:16And my wife and I at the time went to a megachurch in Scottsdale called the Dream Center.
25:25And I didn't know what to do with myself.
25:29I was so sick.
25:32I had gotten a hold of a book called Don't Be Denied God's Power.
25:39I found it at a used bookstore.
25:42It was laying out on the shelf.
25:43Somebody had looked at it and just pitched it back there and didn't put it back.
25:47Had they put it back, I would have never noticed it.
25:52Through this book, and I read half of it while I was at the bookstore.
25:56And I realized, oh my God, I've got demons.
26:01I didn't know I had demons.
26:04Then all of a sudden, everything started to kind of fit in.
26:07I thought, wow.
26:09My lust problems, my anger problems, all these different things.
26:13It all started to add up in my mind.
26:16But I didn't know what to do about it.
26:17And believe it or not, in this book,
26:20this powerful deliverance minister had said in the book that you couldn't do self-deliverance.
26:26You had to find a deliverance minister.
26:27Well, I didn't know a deliverance minister from a hole in the ground.
26:32So I would go to the Dream Center every Sunday morning.
26:36And I would, during the worship part of the service,
26:39they had a beautiful worship section.
26:41I would go down to the altar by myself.
26:43And I would start praying.
26:44And I would start crying.
26:46I would cry down at the altar.
26:48And again, the whole church is behind me.
26:51Everybody sees me up there crying.
26:54Then they see me up there every Sunday morning crying.
26:58Nobody ever came up to pray with me or sit by me or nothing.
27:03I mean, I think they were scared of me.
27:08And one day, while I was up there,
27:10I felt something moving around down in my stomach area.
27:15I was crying.
27:16And I go, my God, what is that?
27:18And then it started to come up.
27:22And I remember I kind of came out of my throat.
27:26It was really a weird experience.
27:30And after church and that evening,
27:33I actually felt better.
27:35I had a better attitude.
27:37I felt a sense of relief and things.
27:39I thought, my God, that must have been
27:43God sovereignly delivering me from demons.
27:46And I didn't even know about it.
27:47I didn't even know what he was doing.
27:50I didn't know anything about self-deliverance then.
27:54Now we teach self-deliverance all the time.
27:58Back then, I was just completely ignorant.
28:00Well, I came back next Sunday and it happened again.
28:03I was up in front, in front of everybody.
28:08The whole megachurch was sitting in the seats watching me.
28:11They must have thought I was crazy.
28:15But one deliverance, one little deliverance,
28:20led to me going through a series of deliverances in 2004.
28:27And that's when I had gotten delivered from demons.
28:31And that's when, 2005, I shut down my secular counseling practice,
28:37laid off my employees, and opened up the House of Healing.
28:41And to make a long story very short, that led to this.
28:47The Deliverance Center, and that led to this.
28:50You and I are together on our podcast every Sunday morning.
28:58God works in mysterious ways.
29:01Tell me about it.
29:04What a ride this has been.
29:06The point simply being, Jesus' point is 100% true.
29:11A little leaven leavens a whole lump.
29:13Now Paul said, get this guy out of the church.
29:17Get rid of him.
29:20And he said something literally shocking.
29:25I've never said this to anybody.
29:29It just seemed too traumatic to me.
29:31I just don't have the spiritual skills to do it.
29:36I've done it subtly, but I've never actually, boom, come out and said it.
29:40Turn this guy over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh.
29:47And I remember when I originally read that verse,
29:49I was very confused by it.
29:51I didn't understand what Paul was doing.
29:54Now I understand perfectly what he's doing.
29:57Trauma, for some people, is the only wake-up call they will ever respond to before they change.
30:07Many people have to face trauma before they change.
30:13Because if they don't face trauma, they will not change.
30:20Okay, husbands and wives, listen to me carefully.
30:24Your spouse is doing the same stupid stuff they were doing five years ago.
30:31And you've been praying for five years for them to change.
30:37And they are not changing.
30:39And they do not look like they are ever going to change.
30:42Now you know what Paul was saying.
30:47Turn that person over to the will of God.
30:52Take your hands off of them.
30:56And let them go.
31:02Let them go.
31:07What do they need?
31:08They need to face a good butt whooping.
31:13They need a country butt kicking.
31:16They need to face trauma.
31:20And Paul said, you've got to let this guy go for the destruction of his flesh.
31:29Then what happens?
31:31Well, you know what happens.
31:322 Corinthians 2, remember?
31:35This is really a great story.
31:38The guy got his face kicked in by the devil.
31:43He came back to the church and wanted to repent and come home.
31:46And they wouldn't take him.
31:49Paul then has to jump in again.
31:532 Corinthians 2.
31:54And he tells him, look.
31:57Came back.
32:00Pour some love on this guy.
32:03Hit him.
32:06Hit him with some love.
32:10Because if you don't, he's going to get overly burdened.
32:15And you know what happens when that occurs?
32:19Yes, potential suicide.
32:20Suicide ideation.
32:22Paul said, take him back.
32:24He repented.
32:27What I told you was going to happen, happened, Paul said.
32:32Turn him over.
32:34And now he wants to come back.
32:39Take him back.
32:45Mercy is calling you.
32:48Take him back.
32:53So you can see, if you cling to someone too tightly, you are actually damaging them.
33:02You didn't hear me.
33:04If you cling to your kids and your spouse too tight, you are keeping them from being healed.
33:16If they won't listen and they're not responding, it's gone on for a long period of time.
33:21Say, dear Lord Jesus, I love my husband, but I'm going to let him go now.
33:28I'm going to put him in your hands.
33:30Because you do with him whatever you want to do.
33:34I am not trying to fix this person anymore.
33:37I'm done.
33:38Hands off.
33:42And that's what Paul said.
33:44Get this guy out of there.
33:47Toss him out.
33:48Take your hands off of him.
33:52Stop praying for him.
33:54Stop helping him.
33:55Stop trying to fix him.
33:56Stop teaching him.
33:57Stop begging him.
33:58Stop crying.
33:59Stop it.
34:01Let him go.
34:03Turn him over to the Lord.
34:04And let God handle it.
34:08And sure enough, this guy got his face kicked in.
34:12And he was broken.
34:15And he repented.
34:17Comes back to the church.
34:19And the church people wouldn't take him back.
34:22Because Paul told them to get rid of him.
34:25Well, Paul had failed to tell them the second half of the story, which was after they repent,
34:33after they'd been beaten up, pour some love on them, and take them back.
34:44Take them back.
34:47This guy repented.
34:48So he came back.
34:52Now, what Jesus said, what should you do with these other people who won't repent?
34:58We've sent them telegrams.
35:00We drew posters for them.
35:02We had a meeting.
35:03We went over it.
35:04We've done it two or three, four times.
35:06We work with.
35:07What do you do there?
35:09Boom.
35:10Cut.
35:15Cut them.
35:17And let them go.
35:20Dad, I'm sick of working on the farm here.
35:23I want my inheritance.
35:24And I want it now.
35:28And the dad goes, there's your money, son.
35:34You're on your own.
35:39You're on your own.
35:42You're on your own.
35:42The pigsty.
35:43You remember the story?
35:45He did trauma.
35:47Trauma is a wonderful friend.
35:52Listen to me.
35:53Trauma is a wonderful answer to prayer.
35:57It's fantastic.
35:58It's the most helpful thing you could ever see.
36:04Trauma.
36:06I know you feel sorry for them.
36:08I know it hurts you.
36:09I get that.
36:09That's perfectly normal.
36:12Don't take them back.
36:14They must be ready to come back.
36:16They must be ready to repent.
36:18They must be willing to change.
36:21You cannot control someone's free will.
36:25You say, well, I'm trying to control my husband or my wife.
36:28You cannot control them, believe it or not.
36:31On outward appearance, it may appear that you're controlling them.
36:34But inside, they'll rebel.
36:40Just turn them over.
36:45And then just wait.
36:49Excuse me.
36:50You just wait.
36:52And when father moves, bang, like this guy at the Corinthian church, the devil beat the stuff out of this
37:00guy.
37:00And he said, oh, man, I see it now.
37:04My eyes have been enlightened.
37:06I've told you this story before, but I've counseled people with NPD, narcissistic personality disorder, several times, you know, over
37:17the decades.
37:19And I have never seen anybody with NPD delivered from demons.
37:25I'm over whatever.
37:28And the reason that I've never seen anybody delivered is because narcissists don't think they have any problems.
37:36They think you're the problem.
37:38And they truly believe it.
37:39They're not making it up.
37:42And the only time I've ever seen narcissists come to God with a sincere heart is when they have faced
37:49trauma.
37:55A narcissist has to be broken.
37:59Truly come to God.
38:04And so Paul is saying to this guy, he doesn't see anything wrong with it.
38:10You know, his dad married a younger wife.
38:14He was bootalicious.
38:15He was a hot babe.
38:16He was ready to rumble.
38:18His dad dies.
38:20So the son just, he was attracted to her anyway.
38:24He just moved in on her and, boop, they got together.
38:30Well, Paul heard about that and freaked.
38:35What are you doing?
38:36You cannot be serious.
38:38Yes.
38:41The same guy, after he had faced one of your best friends, trauma, saw the light like the prodigal son
38:56and came home.
38:57Well, when he got home, the prodigal son's dad leaped off the porch to run down and get him.
39:05When this guy came home, the church said, nope, nope, you're garbage.
39:15Paul then said, what are you doing?
39:19Take him back and give him some loving.
39:22And the guy repented.
39:26Anybody that repents gets a second chance from God.
39:34I love you, friend.
39:36Please remember.
39:38A little leaven, Jesus said, leavens the whole lump.
