00:00Adrienne, so we have been so far discussing that this is going to be for sure a referendum
00:08on Donald Trump's administration.
00:11Just a few days ago, I'm going to bring about a statement from J.D. Vance, the Vice President
00:17of this administration, he said to the US people, he said, give us another chance or
00:24give us another couple of years to continue to work on the amazing things that we have
00:29been doing.
00:30So this has had a massive reaction from social media users, and they have been laughing and
00:37saying, which one, I mean, what?
00:42And how can we interpret these statements from J.D. Vance?
00:45What does this mean regarding the urgency that they are feeling at this hour or the anxiety
00:49as well?
00:50Well, I think J.D. Vance is just trying to do damage control because he knows, he knows
00:57that they've been failing.
00:59But Donald Trump, who he represents, of course, has been making these claims that the economy
01:05is great and everything is great.
01:08And really what Donald Trump means by that, because he can't think in terms of real people.
01:14He's never interacted with them.
01:15He's never interacted with anybody except for the extremely rich and the people who he had
01:20on his reality show and, of course, the people on Epstein's Island.
01:26But who has made the success right now that Trump is thinking of is oil companies.
01:33Since his war started against Iran, oil companies have made $130 billion in profits, which is
01:42three times what they made during the same period last year.
01:46He's looking at the profits of military corporations.
01:50He's looking at the profits that he's creating and he thinks that somehow, or maybe I don't
01:55know what he thinks, but the implication is that somehow these tremendous profits that these
02:02organizations that AI companies are making somehow translates to the betterment of the United
02:09States.
02:09But the people of the United States are very clear about the fact that things are not better
02:16right now than they were two years ago.
02:18In fact, they are dramatically worse, far worse.
02:21I mean, it's been a greater economic decline than we've seen in a really long time.
02:27And so for Vance to say this is, of course, laughable.
02:30And that's why people are laughing at it.
02:32But I think it stems to Trump's real understanding that only the rich getting richer is what makes
02:41a country better.
