US President Donald Trump has issued a fresh warning to Iran following a defeat in the US midterm elections, stating he might do something large involving a heavy hit. Trump acknowledged that the conflict with Iran could be partly responsible for the poll slump but maintained he does not regret launching the war. Meanwhile, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf reacted to the results, asserting that Americans said no to war and warning of consequences if public will is betrayed. Following the elections, Democrats secured control of both chambers of Congress, granting them committee gavels, subpoena powers, and oversight authority over Trump's administration, family, and business ventures, with some Democrats even suggesting a third impeachment. Trump conceded the election results, warning he could become 'Mr. Veto' to block Democratic legislation, whilst also claiming on social media that Republicans would have won by a landslide had he been on the ballot himself.

00:03Donald Trump has issued fresh warning to Iran after the midterm defeat.
00:07Speaking to the US media, President Donald Trump has said he might do something large to Iran involving a heavy
00:14hit.
00:14Trump has also acknowledged that the Iran war could be partly to blame for the pole slump,
00:20but insisted that he does not regret launching the war.
00:23He also further claimed that people in the US agree with what he is doing on Iran.
00:30Meanwhile, Iran has taken a dig at Trump over the midterm poll setback.
00:34Iranian Speaker Kalibov has said, conscience or the cost of living,
00:40Americans said no to war and that Iran endorses this message.
00:45He's also added that if the US government betrays its people's will to serve international paymasters
00:52and blackmailers, it will learn that no comes with a nightmare.
01:03Well, of course, the key understanding now is this a presidential penalty, a repeat trend.
01:09Also, the US midterm curse is now being discussed, often spelled trouble for sitting president.
01:14The ruling party typically loses ground.
01:16And since 1946, ruling party loses approximately 26 to 28 house seats.
01:23It's a referendum on president's performance now.
01:26Opportunity is there for voters to rebuke the White House is something that we are looking at at the moment
01:31in time.
01:32But the George Bush exception is to be looked at.
01:37Bush defied the midterm trend in 2002.
01:39There was a rare midterm victory for a sitting president.
01:43Republicans added eight seats in the House as well.
01:46And Republicans gained two Senate seats.
01:48Post-9-11 patriotism shaped the political climate as well.
01:54Now, the biggest midterm blows that we've seen.
01:57Eisenhower's Republicans had lost 48 house seats, stamp 1958.
02:03Clinton's Democrats lost 52 house seats, stamp 1974.
02:08We're also looking at Obama's Democrats have lost about 63 house seats about 2010.
02:14Those are the key details that are coming in.
02:16And we're also looking at Trump's jibe at Democrats after poll route as well.
02:21The US president posted a picture of a cap with the word veto written on it.
02:26And he said that he was going to become a political pundit,
02:31analyzing reasons behind the Democratic's history as far as the midterm polls is concerned.
02:36Trump has also conceded defeat in the midterm polls already.
02:39He's also said that he was absolutely willing to accept the election results
02:42and was prepared to work with Democrats if they need to take control of Congress.
02:48However, Trump has also struck a different note on social media completely,
02:52insisting that he was not on the ballot and claiming that Republicans would have won by a lad's light
02:58if he had been in the poll.
03:00He's also said and his remarks came in after he warned that he could become Mr. Vito
03:06if Democrats take control of either or both the chambers of Congress.
03:11Earlier, as initial trends had emerged, Trump had said that he would use his veto powers
03:16to block the Democratic legislation, arguing that repeated vetoes could eventually force
03:22the Democrats to negotiate with his administration as well.
03:28Well, incoming Democrats had a simple message for Trump administration.
03:33After the midterm results, lawyer up.
03:37Democrats won control of both chambers of Congress in a stunning rebuke to of the president.
03:42The win gives them limited power over President Donald Trump's agenda
03:46and much broader power to investigate the businesses that his family runs.
03:52With their new majority, Democrats will take control of House committees,
03:58gaining subpoena power, a power that also and the ability to conduct oversight investigations into.
04:06Now, Trump's administration family and business ventures will also be under radar.
04:11That could take up a considerable time and resources for Trump and his allies.
04:16Forcing uncomfortable public hearings or maybe prompting legal showdowns over subpoenas
04:21is something that we'll be looking at.
04:22And in a callback to Trump's first term, some Democrats have already vowed to impeach him for a third time.
04:32We understand that this election, a dramatic change election,
04:37means that the American people are crying out for transformational change.
04:42We hear you, we see you, we feel you, and House Democrats are committed to making life better for you.
04:51To every American disappointed by tonight's results, I mean, I'm disappointed too.
04:55But we are never discouraged, okay?
04:58Because we live in the greatest nation in the world.
05:02Listen, this election was always about much more than just one policy and red team versus blue team.
05:07It was about whether we're going to preserve and strengthen the American experiment,
05:11or we're going to hand our country over to far-left radicals who have captured the Democrat Party.
05:16The battle for our country, that battle against this insurgent socialist movement,
05:21and the battle to restore American greatness, none of that is over in any way.
05:26In fact, I'm going to tell you right now, that fight has just begun for our generation, okay?
05:31We will win that fight for America.
