00:03Be There In A Minute was one of those songs that I wrote quite a while ago.
00:07It was actually a couple years ago. I remember being in Phoenix, Arizona
00:10with Josh Kerr, John Bauer, and Rocky Block, and we were on my tour bus, and we just started
00:16coming up with these really unique chords that were kind of pumping, and the song felt like a
00:21driving song, and we didn't have really a title, but kind of kept working through it and wrote
00:26all the chorus before we even found the hook, and I did the demo, listened to it over and
00:31over and over and over, and then I think certain songs, when you write them that long ago, sometimes
00:36they can disappear, like in your inbox, and you kind of forget that you wrote them, and
00:40so during this album process, we were getting kind of towards the end, and I was listening
00:44to a bunch of old songs, and in a minute it kind of popped back up for me, and I
00:48played
00:48it in a label meeting, and everyone was like, wait, what is that song? And it's funny when
00:53these kind of things work out, because you kind of forget that these songs are there,
00:56but started playing it live, recorded it in the studio, and it kind of just came to life,
01:01and it sort of raised its hand as our first single, so Be There in a Minute was a song
01:06that was written two years ago that is now our first single off this new record. It was
01:09a pretty crazy process, you know, I think in an artist's head, you listen to a record
01:13down, and you're like, ooh, could that be a single, and could that be a single, and you
01:17start playing it for your friends and your family, and then you start to decide, like, wait,
01:20is that a better single two, or is that a better single three? There really are no
01:23rules, and you really don't know in this day and age, but when Be There in a Minute
01:28comes on, it does something to my soul, and I don't really know how to describe it, but
01:33it just feels like you are in a car just driving up a beautiful coast or, you know, through the
01:38countryside, and it just continuously makes you do this, and I love kind of what the song
01:44says. It's kind of an anticipation song, so, like, whether you have been married for
01:50quite a while, like me, or you're just dating someone, like, it's kind of that feeling of
01:54wanting to leave wherever you are so bad to get to the person that you love so much, either
01:59taking to dinner or go out dancing or go on the town or whatever it is, and it's really
02:04hard to write an up-tempo these days that says what this song says, and so I'm just super
02:10appreciative of the writers for kind of keeping on hammering this, and I'm super grateful
02:14to Josh Kerr for producing it in such a way that, I don't know, it just feels like such
02:18a smash to me, and it's one of those songs that you can just play over and over and over
02:22and over again, and it doesn't really get old, which is rare for me. I think for my fans,
02:27like, when you hear this song, it's a very Thomas Rhett song, so if you've heard me play
02:33it live or you've seen it on some of my teachers on Instagram or on TikTok, like, I just
02:38kind of feel like this song is just a core Thomas Rhett tune. I hope it makes you think
02:43about your loved one and just the anticipation of getting to him as soon as you can.
