00:08The Heidelberg Symposium addresses one important secret aspect, it's the one-grid technology
00:15innovations for integrated power systems.
00:20We address within three preferential subjects everything that is relevant to this one-grid
00:26aspect. We have the technology, we have the equipment, and we also have the aspect of system management.
00:33We have a whole week of interesting events. We have a combined German event that will also
00:43be in English language. From Monday to Thursday we will have interesting sessions, tutorials,

01:25Welcome to Paris Session. This is where all the experts meet to discuss the topic of the future.
01:33We have two main events going on in the Paris Session. One is the poster session. This is where
01:38you meet authors and you can discuss one-to-one what are their idea, what have they been thinking
01:45about when they presented their paper. There are 16 study committee and each of them have a poster session
01:51of about four hours. In addition to this, we summarise all the papers in a special report.
01:58And based on these papers, we ask some general questions. And during the group discussion meeting,
02:06we have a contribution from delegates who can answer these questions.
02:12So welcome to take part in both of this event in addition to tutorial workshop and all the rest.

02:33Hello everyone and greetings from Sea of Thailand. We are very excited to invite you to the Sea Great
02:41International Symposium Bangkok 2027 taking place from 8 to 12 November 2027 in Bangkok, Thailand.
02:49Our theme is shaping the future of great resilience, intelligence, innovation and energy transition.
02:55So this symposium will bring together expert and global industry and researcher and utility
03:01to exchange knowledge and being the part of shaping the future of great together.

03:15How do you think about the secret?
03:18So the secret does not produce the knowledge itself mainly. The knowledge comes from the experts
03:26which are in the organisations which produce the knowledge such as vendors, universities, manufacturers
03:32and utilities. The experts have access to the knowledge, they compile it, they digest it.
03:40And they are in a very privileged position to put this knowledge in an accessible form
03:47and balanced way for all the users. This is one of the strengths of Sea Great
03:53and this is one of the main attractions of Sea Great.
04:04This is a good question because when it was initiated in 1921, Sea Great was just a conference
04:12and its name was standing for Conférence Internationale des Grands Réseaux Électriques, which meant in English
04:19International Conference on Large Electric Systems.
04:23Ten years later, in 1933, it became an association ruled by the French law on non-for-profit associations.
04:31But the name gave the impression that it was still only a conference.
04:36However, Sea Great was already organising joint activities between experts, working groups, study committees
04:46and not only conferences. This was recognised in 2000, when Sea Great's name was changed into
04:55Le Conseil Internationale des Grands Réseaux Électriques, which for the French was a change in names, in gender.
05:02But in English, it was International Council on Large Electric Systems.
05:07Since then, Sea Great has still continued to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between its members
05:15in two ways. The first was like this session, organising events, and the second was by facilitating collaboration
05:23in between events, by consolidating and disseminating the knowledge gained and shared during these sessions.
