The Mexican Federal Attorney General's Office has filed new charges against the former mayor of Iguala, Guerrero. Jose Luis Abarca is accused of having ties with organized crime, specifically the criminal group that kidnapped the 43 still missing Ayotzinapa students. His wife, Maria de los Angeles Pineda, is also accused of ties with the Guerreros Unidos criminal gang and was just sentenced to federal prison on money laundering and other charges. teleSUR
