00:52 Criminal Court.
00:53 This after the tribunal rejected the Philippine government's appeal against its probe on drug
00:57 war killings under former President Rodrigo Duterte.
01:00 "Once we finish our talks with the ICC, as we have been saying from the beginning, we
01:09 will not cooperate with them in any way, shape or form.
01:12 We will continue to defend the sovereignty of the Philippines and continue to question
01:19 the jurisdiction of the ICC and their investigations here in the Philippines."
01:24 It was the Marcus government through Solicitor General Menardo Guevara which filed the appeal
01:28 against the resumption of the probe into the killings.
01:31 Marcus' latest remark signals the Philippines will really not cooperate with the ICC, echoing
01:36 the sentiment of the Justice Department.
01:39 ICC spokesperson Fadi El Abdala says the Philippines can still raise concerns with the ICC, but
01:45 it will be up to the tribunal whether they can be accepted or not.
01:50 The Office of the Ombudsman junks criminal and administrative charges filed by a drug
01:55 war survivor against police officers accused of killing four people in Quezon City during
02:00 the early days of former President Rodrigo Duterte's war on drugs.
02:04 The case was filed by drug war survivor Efren Maurilio and the families of his companions
02:09 killed during a 2017 operation.

02:46 Starting August, motorcycles seeking shelter in underpasses or footbridges during heavy
02:50 rain will face a fine of 500 pesos.
02:53 Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Acting Chairperson Don Artes says this may
02:58 quote "endanger the riders who may be hit by other vehicles and also cause traffic congestion."
03:03 MMDA has also tapped the help of major gas stations in Metro Manila where the agency
03:08 will set up tents where motorcycle riders could wear raincoats.
03:12 Artes says the gas stations are open to the idea but will still have to iron out the guidelines.
03:17 MMDA also has emergency lay-bys along EDSA where motorcycle riders could temporarily
03:23 seek shelter during heavy rain.
03:27 The Department of Migrant Workers says there are increasing reports of recruitment agencies
03:31 engaging in illegal recruitment by making workers apply for student visas.
03:36 "Of course we were mindful of the situation of the students.
03:41 In fairness, some or most of them are honest to goodness student visa applications.
03:47 But there are some who are lured in a very wrong way.
03:53 They will say, 'I'm graduating here but I'm going to work.
03:58 That's why the track is student but I have to pay.'"
04:02 CACDAG says the number one indicator of the modus is if one approaches an agency looking
04:07 for work but is given a student visa arrangement.
04:10 In July, a group of Filipinos who fell victim to the alleged illegal recruitment scheme
04:14 filed a case with the DMW and the National Bureau of Investigation against the chief
04:19 executive officer of a company that reportedly asked applicants for more than 100,000 pesos
04:24 in placement fees.
04:27 CACDA's top cybersecurity official says hackers and propagandists use artificial intelligence
04:33 to create malicious software and spread disinformation online.
04:36 Canadian Center for Cybersecurity head Sami Kouri says his agency had seen cybercriminals
04:41 do this through convincing phishing emails.
04:44 In recent months, several cyber watchdog groups published reports warning about the hypothetical
04:49 risks of AI.
04:51 A former hacker also recently said he had discovered a large-language model trained
04:55 on malicious material and asked it to draft a convincing attempt to trick someone into
05:00 making a cash transfer.
05:02 Kouri says that while the use of AI to draft malicious code is still in its early stages,
05:07 there's concern over how quickly AI models are evolving.

05:38 and Europe.
05:39 Lee, who was born in San Francisco but raised in Hong Kong, passed away at the age of 32
05:44 on July 20, 1973 from a brain swelling, days before the release of his global blockbuster
05:49 movie Enter the Dragon.
05:51 Lee's contributions to martial arts and popular culture inspired legions of global fans.
05:57 One of Lee's most famous maxims, "Be Water, My Friend," inspired Hong Kong's 2019 pro-democracy
06:02 movement.
