00:03 - Craig, what are you hearing
00:04 about some of these big names
00:05 potentially on the move ahead of the deadline
00:08 at 6 p.m. Eastern?
00:10 - Well, the last two names of the graphic there,
00:11 Lorenzen and Pham,
00:12 I think that those are pretty easy to project
00:15 that they are likely, very likely to be traded,
00:18 I would say, by 6 o'clock Eastern.
00:21 Then the wild card is Verlander, obviously.
00:23 We don't know what's gonna end up happening with him.
00:25 This is gonna require probably some money
00:26 going from the Mets to somewhere else.
00:28 And it seems like San Diego may just wanna stand pat,
00:31 maybe not add, subtract.
00:32 So I don't know that Hayter or Snell will be dealt.
00:35 And in the end, they leave, they get a draft pick.
00:37 I know it's a consolation prize,
00:39 but Snell's gonna get 50 million,
00:41 they're gonna get a first round pick for that.
00:42 So we'll all watch to see where Verlander ends up.
00:45 If he ends up getting traded, or the Mets,
00:47 maybe they end up keeping him.
00:48 I still think it's a mystery at this point,
00:50 but the big payroll teams are clearly the ones
00:53 that could take the money on.
00:55 And then there are teams like Baltimore, as an example,
00:59 that could just simply give incredible prospects back
01:02 in return, and maybe not to the Mets.
01:03 And if that's what the Mets want,
01:05 they just want the prospects,
01:06 maybe they just pay the whole contract to get that,
01:08 which is similar to what they did with Scherzer.
01:09 So no indication yet,
01:11 but that's sort of the way we stand right now.
