00:00 I'm Ariella Scalise and here we go.
00:03 Another wet weekend into the Northeast.
00:05 This time we get the wind really
00:07 picking up in the big chill to
00:09 follow as we track this storm
00:11 sliding up the East Coast,
00:12 bringing some of the worst conditions
00:14 into New England as we continue
00:16 throughout our weekend,
00:17 you notice the darkest shades of
00:19 green as we look into future rainfall.
00:21 So heavy rain could lead to flooding concerns.
00:23 In addition,
00:24 we could see some more flooding than
00:25 maybe we would typically see with this
00:27 event because of the time of year,
00:28 without lots of the leaves could
00:30 clog some of those storm drains.
00:32 And heads up if you're driving
00:34 around as wet leaves,
00:35 very slick,
00:36 often as slippery as ice,
00:37 heaviest rain will move into New England,
00:40 but will still see some of those
00:41 showers passing through into
00:42 Pennsylvania and New York State.
00:44 As we head into the day on Sunday.
00:46 Meanwhile,
00:46 the wind really picking up
00:48 throughout the weekend.
00:49 We're talking gusts anywhere
00:50 from 30 to 40 mph,
00:52 but could see a gust or two
00:54 closer to 55 mph.
00:56 That's the accurate local storm max.
00:58 Again, this time of year,
00:59 kind of specific, right?
01:00 We have lots of decorations outside
01:02 for maybe Halloween for fall.
01:04 The inflatables you want to make
01:05 sure those are secure and otherwise
01:07 they may be ending up in your
01:09 neighbor's yard down the street
01:10 with the powerful wind.
01:11 Notice the direction of the wind too.
01:14 That's going to bring temperatures
01:15 much cooler as we head throughout
01:17 the rest of our weekend 59 into
01:19 New York City for Saturday 56 on
01:21 Sunday and rebounding a little bit
01:23 by Monday and temperatures into
01:24 Pittsburgh stay into the 50s over
01:26 the next couple of days, but we.
01:28 Can't forget the nights we're going to
01:30 see a big temperature drop Sunday
01:31 night into Monday morning,
01:32 which means you can wake up to some
01:34 frost and freeze potential as we start the week.
