00:00Hello and welcome to this yet another brand new episode of Editor's Roundtable
00:05where editors of One India join you from all the corners of the country and bring
00:09you up to speed with the week that has just gone by. Joining us on the broadcast
00:13today Ajay Mohan, Ajin Stephen, Hridesh Ghosh, Avinash Sharma, Kanhaiya, we have
00:19Shivendra Gaur also, Nagin Singh there as well. Thank you gentlemen for taking time out
00:24today. Let me begin with you Kanhaiya first. I know down south it's rains time and the
00:32way it is pounding heavily there in that part of the country looks like like the
00:38political upheaval that is happening in the two Telugu speaking states. The
00:44rains also are changing their mood and timing this time around. Help us
00:48understand what is happening with the BRS. I see a distinct pattern on a
00:53national level as far as the BRS is concerned and then on the state level.
00:57Half of the party members moving towards Congress on the state level and is it
01:02correct to say that on the national level there is a parliamentary meet that
01:07is going to happen for the BRS to merge with the BJP? Yes, firstly good
01:14evening to the panel members out there and yes two Telugu speaking states
01:19you know politics are actually they are on a heat to be exactly BRS. Now the BRS party
01:28you know like Congress is actually pulling the BRS in the list here in the
01:33state whereas when it comes to the Parliament you know Rajya Sabha, they have five Rajya Sabha MPs
01:40wherein BJP has already gone in touch with the five BRS Rajya Sabha MPs. So now what is
01:46happening is when we come to the state assembly out of 39 now BRS is only in touch with 12 MLAs.
01:54So there is a saying like what goes around comes around. So I just wanted to remind our viewers that
02:00BRS party when it first came to power then it was known as TRS party. So way back in 2014.
02:07So they have actually hosted MLAs from TDP. So at that point of time
02:15the current Chief Minister you know Revath Reddy, the current Chief Minister he was in TDP back then.
02:21So now he is the CM from Congress. So what is happening is the interesting point to be noted here is
02:28the BRS MLAs who has been switching the party to Congress, they are of TDP blood once upon a time.
02:37So those MLAs are now coming into touch with Revath Reddy and they are seeing their safe place.
02:46So that is one and one more thing now actually what is happening there is at a higher level in Parliament
02:56by means Rajya Sabha there is news coming in that BJP is actually in talks with the BRS MPs from Rajya Sabha.
03:06So as we know their number is not perfect over there also. So what is happening here is
03:13there is also news that KCR is sending their MPs to BJP.
03:22So there are some internal issues happening there. His daughter Kavitha is stuck up over there.
03:27Actually she has applied for a default bail over there. So everything will happen automatically over there.
03:32So once she gets a bail, all the things should be fine.
03:35Very interesting because I distinctly remember almost a year down the line in one of the studio discussions
03:45I had made this proposition and that was the time when K. Kavitha's name had come up in this Delhi excise policy case, liquor policy case.
03:55And I had made a point that this ferocious attack from the KCR might go blunt if this case continues.
04:03And we are seeing some sort of repercussions of the same excise policy case.
04:08You are absolutely right when you say that K. Kavitha's name is there.
04:11And for a KCR, obviously, whether to choose his own words or whether to secure the safety and release of basically a clear name of his own daughter matters the most.
04:26In the neighborhood in Andhra Pradesh, Kanyakumari, a new government has come into picture.
04:31This time around, obviously, Chhattar Babu Naidu, as we have seen in the politics also down south,
04:37that a lot of shocks are promised before the elections.
04:41But lo and behold, last week also, if I'm not wrong, Chhattar Babu Naidu met the Prime Minister.
04:47The talks of money, exchequer running dry was talked about.
04:51Is he trying to point out at the failures of Jaganmohan Reddy government that they ran the coffer dry and he has nothing left to run the state?
05:00100 percent. So, actually, when he met the Prime Minister the last week, our sources said that he was not doing any assurances because now BJP is more worried about the 4 state coming up elections.
05:14It's in Jharkhand, Haryana, J&K and Maharashtra.
05:19So I don't think so.
05:22The Central will be in a position to fund the LPB discussion packet as of now.
05:27So the thing is that, it's clearly now what Chhattar Babu is doing is that he is actually releasing white papers on various departments.
05:35And he has taken a pot shot at Jagan Reddy's government saying that he has totally ruined the state.
05:40Now the state is facing a financial crisis.
05:44Now what the public is asking is, when Jagan Reddy was actually throwing away those schemes, monetary schemes and all, DDP was the party which was in opposition.
05:56It has blamed Jagan Reddy's government saying that with this kind of governance, the state would turn into a Sri Lanka.
06:06Now that they are in power and they have a promise even more than what Jagan Reddy has promised.
06:16So now Chhattar Babu is releasing white papers and he is completely pointing his fingers at Jagan Reddy.
06:24And he is giving clear indications to the public that Jagan Reddy has ruined the state financially.
06:30And moreover in the white paper that he released when we observe carefully, there is no time bound given like when the Polavaram project, that is the lifeline of the Telugu state.
06:40So when the Polavaram project will be completed and moreover there is no deadline given like when the capital Amaravati will be completed.
06:48So that is one thing that is going, that's a hot debate going on social media as well.
06:52That's a million dollar question.
06:54Yes and moreover the pressure is building on the government as the super six needs to be implemented.
07:00Because it was his core promise wherein 20 lakh jobs or financial expense of rupees 3000 to the jobless youth.
07:08That is one and 15,000 to every school going student.
07:12Now those 15,000 guidelines were released by the government wherein during his election campaign he said for each student who is going to the school will be given 15,000.
07:23But now yesterday there was Jeeva Jivan wherein only the mother will get 15,000.
07:29So that's all again a mismatch and people are actually posing questions on social media.
07:36A lot of debate is going on and farmers are waiting for their financial assistance as this is the sowing time for them.
07:45So actually a promise was made that 20,000 will be given to the farmers.
07:49So that is also actually not addressed till now.
07:51And yearly 3 free bus cylinders for every household.
07:54That is also one of the things for super six in super six.
07:58And 1500 per month for every women aged above 18 to 59.
08:02So that has not been addressed as yet and free bus travel for women.
08:06So free bus Karnataka is implementing whereas Telangana is implementing.
08:10But we are seeing a lot of you know women actually quarrelling among themselves with the bus.
08:16So we have to see whether this will work out in Andhra because he is known as a good administrator.
08:21Chandra Babu is more than a leader he is known for his administrative skills.
08:25So we should see how things will go on.
08:27Alright freebies, super six and a catch 22 situation.
08:32Kanhaiyaa thank you so much.
08:34I would request you to please take our leave and continue with your editorial job at hand there.
08:42Kanhaiyaa there from the twin Telugu speaking states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
08:49Shivendra ji is there.
08:50Shivendra go on.
08:51Shivendra abhi jo developments hui hain poore week mein.
08:55There are two big developments that have happened.
08:57First one let me begin by asking you about the armed forces next of kin policy.
09:03And as we all know Rahul Gandhi started a debate saying that Agniveer ko paise nahi mile.
09:08Unhe compensation nahi mila.
09:10Aisa unhone parliament pe bola.
09:12Us par BJP sarkar ne us par jawab hi diya.
09:16Yeh poora ka poora jo Agniveer Anshuman ko leke sir abhi jo controversy chal rahi hain.
09:20Isko ab kis tarah se dekhte hain aur where does it end?
09:24Yeh khatam kahan ho rahi hain?
09:26Thank you Pankaj ji.
09:28Iss samay jo muddha hai ek bada bhabuk jagah parakar kendrit ho gaya hai.
09:33Hum kahte hain ki saheedon ki chitaon par lagenge har varas mile.
09:37Batan pe marne walon ka yehi baaki nishaan hoga.
09:41Bahut acha hota hai aur yeh hona bhi chahiye.
09:43Mele lagna chahiye, unke nishaan rehne chahiye.
09:46Lekin yaha jab yeh hua aur uske baad jis tarah se keerti chakar diya gaya.
09:52Maa thi, bahu thi.
09:54To ek policy aisi thi.
09:57Wo isliye baat karna hoon.
09:59Kehte hain ki jiske haath par chingari girti hai, jalan usko pata lagti hai.
10:03To dono pakchon ki yaha par majbooti jaroori hai.
10:09Jisme jo saheed hote hain, unki patni aur unke mata pita.
10:14Yaha par ek dekhne pe aaye, policy hai jisse short form mein knock kaha jata hai.
10:19Next to king.
10:20Iska artha jo sena mein hai, wo yeh hai.
10:24Jo abhi tak hai, usmein yeh hai ki jo sipahi hota hai ya jo bhi sainik hota hai.
10:30Jis pat par bhi hota hai sena mein.
10:32Bada ho, chota ho.
10:34To uske agar usne saadi nahi ki hai.
10:37To jo knock hota hai, jo kareebi hota hai.
10:40Wo unke mata pita hote hain.
10:42Aur jaisi uski saadi hoti hai.
10:44Aini ki vivaah hota hai.
10:45Uske baad wo poora poora patni uska ho jati hai.
10:49Aur durbhag was kahe hain.
10:53Aur jo fida hota hai batan pe, wo isse apna bhaag samasta hai.
11:00Aur uske parwaar wale bhi samasta hai ki agar kisi parwaar mein saheed ho, dukh hota hai.
11:06Lekin jahaan saheed hota hai, unka maan samwaan bhi bahut hota hai.
11:10To aisi parishti mein, dono iske pehlu hain.
11:13Paranto, mukh pehlu yahaan par aa jata hai ki jab saheed ho gaya uske baad us parwaar ka kya hota hai.
11:18Us parwaar mein alag alag parishti hain hoti hain.
11:21Abhi jo Abhimanyu Singh ki parishti aayi chunki, usmein matra 6 mahine aur kuch samay baad, wo saadi ke vivaah the unki, wo shaheed ho gaye.
11:30Aisi parishti mein, unki patni ki alag hai sthiti hai.
11:34Unki majboothi bhi jaroor hai.
11:35Lekin isne kya kiya?
11:36Is nauk jo kaanun hai, usmein keerti chak lete samay, jab bhalayi unki maa aur patni saath thi, lekin wo bhi unhe hi gaya.
11:45Aur uski jo raasi hoti hai, jo di jaati hai, wo bhi 100%, 50 lakh ki unki patni ko di gayi.
11:53Aur iske alaab aur bhi kayi alaan hote hain, jo gaon, ghar, ilaake se bhi maan rakte hain.
11:59Aise usse ilaake mein sadak banein unke naam ki, usse ilaake mein ghar tak kuch subdaayin ho, wo saari cheechi hoti hain.
12:05To inka pehlu yahi, yaha par unke pitaan hai, yaani ki jo saheed ho gaye.
12:09Maini usse unke pitaan hai, ek baat uthaayi ho, mujhe lagta hai ki wo baat kisi mahevon mein sahi hai.
12:13Mera apna opinion hai, kyuki main apne kaafi, apne patkartha jeevan mein aise kayi mokhe aaye.
12:18Chahe Meerut mein Ajay ki baat ho, chahe Agra mein baat ho, unpe gaya aur baha main un parwar ko rohte bilakte, kuch prasadiyon se jooste dekha.
12:26To baha pe kya hota hai, ki aise prasiti mein kya hua, jaise ki patni jo ki yaha par kam umar ki hai, usse aage jeevan hai, bahot bada usse aage jeevan hai.
12:35Pati ka dukh charoor hai, sehna mein hai, lekin usse apna jeevan aake badhana bhi hai.
12:39To prasitiyon aise hi ho sakti, wo saasur se alag ho jaye.
12:43To mera maanana jee hai, ki UP mein, MP mein, Rajasthan aur Haryana mein iss tarah ek mubasta ki gayi.
12:49Pichli baar UP mein yeh kiya gaya, ki usse jo rashi thi, jo di jaa thi, 25 lakh rupees,
12:56to usko unhone kya kiya, dubna kar diya aur 70% patni ko aur 30% mata pita ko de diya.
13:05Madhya Pradesh ne abhi pichle hi saptah, yeh ek meeting ho, usme yeh ghusna hoi, usme matlab nirnay ho gaya sabhi pakcho se,
13:29jaise ki hum kehte keerti chakr ki bhi do prati ho jana chahiye, patni ko aur ek maa ko de daana chahiye,
13:35taaki agar patni chali jaye, to apni yaade pati ke saath le karke, maaike chali jaye, apna aage jeevan doosre saadi karle,
13:42vibha karte, tab bhi uske paas rahe, aur uske jaane ke mata pita bhi us chakr ko dekh ke ki,
13:47putr ne is desh ke liye zindagi kurbaan ki thi, mere paas hai, aur jo aise alaan hai,
13:53jaise ek gaon mein sadak banna hai, wo sahe sahe ke apne gaon mein hi banne.
13:59Bilkul. Shivendra ji, a very valid point that you have raised that at least two citations or two equal measures should be given to the parents
14:09and to the next of kin also of a diseased gallant soldier.
14:16Thank you so much, Shivendra. Stay with us. Very quickly, before I open the gates for the all-important new cricket captaincy,
14:23Nagend Singh is there waiting for us patiently. Nagend, I know you are hard-pressed on time.
14:28I just wanted to ask you whether Joe Biden is going to pay the price for his gaps that he keeps making come October-November when the United States votes?
14:40Well, I think it's not Joe Biden who is paying the price, but it's more for the American citizens who are paying the price that they are left with such a kind of candidates.
14:53On one side, they have Joe Biden and on the other side, they have Donald Trump.
14:59So even if Democrats, you know, most probably they will replace the candidate the way it seems that the number of cafes
15:06and the number of controversies that he's doing and that to an international platform,
15:12it's not something that he was speaking in one of his own events of White House.
15:17But it was NATO summit and the world leaders from across the globe were there and they were discussing a topic which is of very big importance,
15:27not just for USA, for Europe, and of course, for India and for the world.
15:33On one side, we have Putin and on the other side, we have someone like Biden who is making these cafes on a regular basis and breaking the Internet.
15:44So, of course, when elections come, then these topics become the trends.
15:50Of course, Trump's side and the Republicans, they want to ensure that they profit on Biden's mistake.
15:59White House has already clarified that he's not suffering from Parkinson's or any such disease.
16:06However, the biggest problem or what Americans would be worried that what kind of candidates they are getting to fight for for them and who will be their new president.
16:17Of course, these events are going to highly impact the elections that are going to happen in November.
16:24And we have already started seeing that Republican Democrats are looking for another candidate.
16:31Maybe Kamala Harris or Barack Obama's wife should come up as the new candidate.
16:38So overall, elections are there. We have seen what happened in Indian elections.
16:43So now the colors of U.S. elections, we have already started seeing it.
16:49And with every single event coming up, we will see the media's attention on Joe Biden and every single mistake, the gap race and him stumbling upon the stages.
17:03We are going to see all that.
17:07Indeed. And I mean, very quickly, I know, you know, for the United States, it could be the first chance that if Michelle Obama joins in the ranks to compete with Donald Trump instead of Joe Biden,
17:20U.S. would see a very well a new female prime minister for the first time.
17:24Kamala Harris, when she became the VP, then also a lot of appreciation notes had come by.
17:30One other lady which is making headlines globally is Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Maloney.
17:37Her eye roll this time around, maybe supposedly after waiting for Joe Biden, speaks volumes.
17:44She has been at loggerheads with state leaders quite a lot these days.
17:49She's a young politician and she is a far right leader.
17:53We should not forget that she is someone who appreciates Mussolini.
17:57She's someone who has hated countries like France and USA.
18:03I mean, of course, there have been attacks.
18:06And of course, they are part of NATO.
18:08So they have to be together on one stage.
18:10But somewhere down the line, I think this is the acceptance of these world leaders that they know Biden, who is over 80 years old.
18:18It is difficult for him to run a country like America, which is the so-called greatest country on the earth.
18:25And so the country that really rules the places like NATO and United Nations.
18:32We know that he will approach at these places when they come up with all kinds of vetoes, when they want the war to continue.
18:40So they may show different figures and they may show different colors.
18:44But Georgia Maloney, a young leader, she is under 50.
18:48And these reactions are natural reactions that came on the stage.
18:54There are funny videos that have come up when Joe Biden made the gaffe when he called Zelensky as Russian President Putin.
19:06So all this is bound to happen.
19:08And I think we are going to see more of that.
19:12Zelensky quickly said, by the way, Zelensky quickly said, I am better than him.
19:18Well, Biden said that he cares for everyone.
19:20He even cares for Putin.
19:22But there could be a direct war.
19:24We don't know.
19:25We are already living maybe the World War III.
19:27So let's see how Biden and how after US elections things change at the international politics.
19:34Absolutely.
19:35Absolutely.
19:36Nagend Singh there.
19:37He will be bringing you all the details from the US elections.
19:39Keep watching One India on YouTube where Nagend and his team produces one of the finest stories as far as the US elections are concerned.
19:48Nagend, thank you so much for speaking to One India.
19:50Thank you so much.
19:51Always a pleasure to speak to you.
19:52Ajay Mohanji, I know I promised Avinash that I will be coming and touching on cricket.
19:56But I can't wait to know before we hit the bullet speed.
20:00Ajayji, the bullet train from Ahmedabad to Mumbai is making headlines.
20:04You have some details for that.
20:06When is this bullet train coming?
20:08Investment on bullet train is one thing.
20:10And securing and putting Kavaj on other trains is another matter.
20:14Right.
20:16See, the Kavaj is again a different matter.
20:19It will come after the bullet train is in.
20:21So the thing is that most importantly, the Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnavi, he announced in the month of March, I think he said,
20:31Bullet train will hit the track in 2026.
20:35Right.
20:36So I think the speed is up.
20:38And National High Speed Rail Corporation has just made the announcement just few hours back that out of eight railway stations in Gujarat,
20:49the work of four stations is almost completed.
20:54It means the concourse level slab is completed.
20:58Not four, it's five actually, five stations.
21:02So that means once the level is done, so the only thing is they have to just put up the platform and other works to do.
21:10And these stations are Vapi, Belamora, Surat, Ahmedabad and Anand.
21:17So there will be four more stations will be in Maharashtra.
21:20The speed is actually it is already taken up.
21:24So most importantly, what I see is they have announced that there will be a separate business class launch, just like you see in airports.
21:35So just be ready with your credit cards.
21:37You will get definitely get those credit cards, free dinner, lunch, whatever you want.
21:46Yes, yes.
21:47It's a very good news, actually, which actually hit the market just today.
21:53And I think that's the only because of that, only the railway shares are also going up.
21:58OK.
21:59They are also speeding up.
22:01Yes, yes, yes, yes.
22:03You know, it's a very critical aspect of public transport, public travel, especially trains.
22:09They have gone up as far as the last 10 to 15 years are concerned with all the Bhande Bharats and the high speed trains coming up on the stage.
22:19But train safety and security is also one of the aspects that India needs to work equally upon.
22:25Yes, it's really very important for this is a matter of safety.
22:32After all, the government has the responsibility to make sure that the safe journey for all.
22:39And definitely the new version of the coverage is also already in.
22:44So let's see.
22:46Let's hope for the best.
22:49Yes, definitely will empower the things.
22:52Absolutely.
22:53Thank you so much for bringing us up to speed, as we say, with the latest from Mumbai and Gujarat.
23:00The newest and the fastest bullet train ready to hit the track very soon.
23:05Avinash Sharma is there and Hridesh Ghosh and Ajin.
23:08All three of them have their inputs ready for the new coach of Indian cricket team.
23:15Avinash, starting with you first.
23:17Gautam Gambhir, a serious man in himself.
23:21We have seen his run-ins with Virat Kohli earlier at the IPL franchisee matches.
23:28How do you see this team working with Gautam Gambhir as of now?
23:34I think it's going to be a different thing.
23:38I mean, coming at a loggerhead with each other during the IPL matches was a thing of the past.
23:44And what we saw in this year's IPL season, how both the players were hugging each other,
23:52walking hand in hand and sending out the positive signals even during the IPL in 2024.
23:58And Gautam Gambhir, he's getting a lot of good reviews from former cricketers.
24:06And everybody on social media is going gaga over what kind of a difference is he going to make in Indian cricket.
24:13Because we all know Gautam Gambhir as a no-nonsense man.
24:17He's been there, he's done that, whether it's with the IPL teams that he's been part of.
24:24Or also, even during his very short stint as an Indian captain when MS Dhoni was not leaving the side due to an injury.
24:31So, Gautam Gambhir actually helped India win a very crucial 5-match ODI series against New Zealand at home.
24:38And there, we found a superstar in Yusuf Pathan.
24:42Because Gautam Gambhir had his back and he kept backing Yusuf Pathan to the hilt.
24:47And we saw how big a star Yusuf Pathan ended up becoming.
24:52And now we see him as an MP from West Bengal as well.
24:55So, the popularity of Yusuf Pathan, in a way, it was Gautam Gambhir's appreciation and hand behind Yusuf Pathan.
25:06Now, if you talk about his dimension with the Indian cricketers, it's going to be better.
25:14Because he's been a part of the Indian cricket team for quite long.
25:18And most of the players, if you talk about the senior ones, they have actually spent a lot of time with him in the dressing room.
25:25If you talk about Rahul Dravid, who just left as the Indian coach,
25:31If you remember, only Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravi Chandan Ashwin could be the third one to have shared the dressing room with Rahul Dravid in the Indian side.
25:42But now, they have a player like Gautam Gambhir, who hasn't retired long back.
25:49So, they definitely have shared a lot of banter in the dressing room.
25:53So, it will not be a challenge for players to gel with him.
25:59Yes, as I mentioned earlier, he's a no-nonsense man.
26:03So, he will not allow any loose talks or loose ends.
26:08He's going to leave for India to become a fourth to reckon with.
26:12Who will be the captain, by the way?
26:15That's a million-dollar question, actually.
26:18There are quite a few contenders.
26:20If you look at the T20Is, Hardik Pandya seems to be the front-runner.
26:25Because he was the vice-captain of the Indian cricket team when we won the World Cup in the West Indies and US.
26:32He is front-runner.
26:34But whenever Hardik Pandya is not fit, or because we have seen him struggle with his fitness and the injuries that he has had in the past,
26:44I could see Surya Kumar Yadav take up the mantle for India's captaincy.
26:50Because, A, he is one of the best batters in the world in the format.
26:54Also, he is a batter. So, it also eases the job.
26:57We have not seen too many bowlers being named the captain of the Indian cricket team in the past as well.
27:04There are quite only a few exceptions like Anil Kumble, if you just look at the past, and Jasprit Bumrah.
27:13But given the fact that Jasprit Bumrah has a lot on his plate, he has to think a lot.
27:18He has to lead the pace bowling attack and the bowling attack overall.
27:22The team management might still look out for a player whose job is at least easier than Jasprit Bumrah.
27:29Let's not forget the fact that Jasprit Bumrah is one of the biggest match winners India has ever produced across all three formats.
27:36But Surya Kumar Yadav, because of his past relationship with Gautam Gambhir as well,
27:42seems to be one of the very big contenders for India's future T20I captains.
27:48And let's not forget the fact that a few months back, Gautam Gambhir was the mentor of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise,
27:56where Treyar Sahyar helped the team lift the trophy and the draught of a long IPL trophy for the KKR Knight Riders fans ended.
28:06And he has proven his credentials as a good captain as well. So, there are quite a few contenders.
28:13Alright. Absolutely. Avinash, thank you so much.
28:16And the mention of Kolkata Knight Riders, Corbo, Lorbo, Jeet Boree.
28:21We have Ritesh Ghosh with us.
28:23Dada, how does it feel? I mean, winning IPL team, KKR, Gautam Gambhir still there as a mentor.
28:31And now, the coach for the national team. Kolkata, it must be good news, sweet news for Kolkata cricket fans.
28:38Yeah, obviously. When Gambhir took over in 2011, we all know KKR was actually in dismantled shape.
28:46It was broken down after Ganguly's captaincy. And again, that McAllum episode happened.
28:53Then, with him, Kolkata Knight Riders survived. And in the next year, we got the trophy in 2012.
29:03So, again in 2014, we got the trophy. Captain was again Gautam Gambhir.
29:09So, when he was leading the side, KKR was a different team. When he left in 2007, after that, KKR team was not there up to the mark.
29:19But again, when he took over as a mentor, the team, the management, the players, all were charged up.
29:28And we see the result that KKR after many years, after almost 10 years, we got the trophy again for the third time.
29:35That is the thing that will surely boost up the Indian team also because his mindset, his approach to the game, his understanding of the game was much better.
29:46And another thing I just want to mention that when Gautam Gambhir's name was around for Indian coaching staff or main India coach,
29:59that time India have not won the World Cup that time. So, there was a lot of hype that if Gambhir comes, India will get the momentum.
30:12India will win all the World Championship, T20 and everything. And in between, Dravid won the cup.
30:20And so, I think Gambhir will feel the pressure from the very first day because India have already won the T20 World Cup.
30:28So, pressure will be mounting up on Gambhir. And again, when Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will not be playing the format, especially the T20 format,
30:38there will be issues Gautam Gambhir will be facing from the day one, I guess.
30:43Valid point, Ritesh. Stay with us. Arjun Stephen is there with us. Arjun, thank you so much for waiting patiently.
30:50What is your view on Gautam Gambhir's upcoming challenges and how does Kerala view this change in the Indian team?
30:58Actually, Gambhir coming as a coach gives hope for our top players.
31:03Especially from Kerala perspective, we can look on to Sanju Samson. Because there are some few players Gambhir appreciated really well.
31:10I think in 2019 and all, Gambhir appreciated Sanju for being one of the best young batters we have got.
31:19So, players like Sanju, even Varun Chakravarthy. And there are a lot of players who come to India and they did not last long.
31:28So, there are lot of hope for that kind of players who can get back to team and prove their real talent.
31:36I think the players have that mentality of, okay, it's Gambhir. So, we have a second chance to prove.
31:45So, that's my point for Gambhir's coach.
31:50I know it's a blessing in disguise for the Indian team. Avinash, one final word from your side if you want to just add here.
31:59Looking at the performance of the Indian cricket team in the last recently concluded World Cup, plus the exit of three of the stalwarts from the T20 format of the game.
32:10How well do you think that the Indian team is poised as of now to take on the international challenges?
32:18I think it could be managed, Pankaj. The team looks good. We are seeing the young team under the leadership of a young captain in Shubhangil is doing down under in Zimbabwe.
32:29They were pushed against the walls in the first match. We saw them losing out to, if you can use the tag term, Minos Zimbabwe.
32:38But the way this team bounced back and they played back-to-back good games. They won the two matches and they are 2-1 up in the five-match series.
32:46We believe this team will not end up losing the next two matches and they will come victorious from the Zimbabwe tour.
32:54We have seen a lot of youngsters proving their credentials and rising to the occasion and becoming some of the stalwarts of the game.
33:02There has been a best example of MS Dhoni. He first came to the international for when he was touring as India A player on Zimbabwe.
33:13It was a time when MS Dhoni just shot to fame because of his six hitting abilities, a good cricketing brain that he had and the rest, as we all know, is history.
33:25So, I think the Indian cricket team is in good hands. Yes, the absence of Kohli, Rohit and Jadeja is going to be missed.
33:35They will be missed badly but I think it was good from them on their part that they decided to let go of one format where you need to blood in young players.
33:47And what better opportunity for them to just gain some experience because the next T20 World Cup is two years down the line.
33:57So, you still have plenty of time left to just fine tune and find the new match winners or champions of the future.
34:06Absolutely, Avinash. Thank you so much, Avinash, Ajay and Ajay for joining us on the broadcast today.
34:13Shivendra ji, very recently, today itself, before we started the show, the central government, the BJP has announced that it will be commemorating or observing June 25 as Samvidhan Hathiya Diwas.
34:29This is an emergency that the government has cut out for the Congress. How do you see this?
34:38I still believe that the results of the Lok Sabha elections and if we look at them, they are not in favour of the BJP.
34:49I am not saying that the NDA is different from the BJP. I have seen that.
34:55And in that survey, or in their survey as well, it was believed that the NDA that was passed regarding Samvidhan Hathiya Diwas,
35:06whether it was the BJP MPs or BJP MPs, there were small statements about changing the Samvidhan Hathiya Diwas,
35:14and it was believed that there has been a big loss in changing the Samvidhan Hathiya Diwas, whether it was the reservation or anything else.
35:23The symbol or tag of changing the Samvidhan Hathiya Diwas is seen on the BJP MPs.
35:33And the truth of how the NDA lost the elections, there are many reasons for this.
35:41One of the major reasons is that the discussion on Samvidhan Hathiya Diwas is being held during the elections.
35:47So, taking the copy of the Samvidhan Hathiya Diwas and barring it is a good step for the upcoming elections.
35:58And here, the BJP has revived the Indira Gandhi chapter.
36:06And in that itself, the card of the Indira Gandhi chapter, the attack on the Samvidhan Hathiya Diwas, is seen.
36:15And as much as they can, that much they were able to do on the first day through the speaker.
36:22President Bhaswadevi was also mentioned.
36:24And now they have done a big blow.
36:27Since they are in power, they have taken it.
36:30And the royal letter that has been issued, it has been officially accepted.
36:36So, this is their entire politics.
36:38And in a way, they have been attacked during the elections on the Samvidhan Hathiya Diwas.
36:42They have been tagged.
36:43I am seeing that tag as a step to remove that mark after that 400.
36:50Nothing more than this.
36:52Shivendra, thank you so much for breaking it down for our viewers.
36:56And how, after the elections, the war of words between the Congress and the BJP is only getting sharper and sharper.
37:03Yesterday, we saw the Balaguthi versus Balaguthi.
37:07And now we have Samvidhan Hathiya Diwas directing on Indira Gandhi's emergency and how the BJP views it.
37:15Thank you so much, Ritesh.
37:16One final electoral question to you.
37:18By-polls are underway.
37:20I mean, how do you see it?
37:22How is Didi's TMC placed?
37:24How is the Congress placed?
37:25How is the best?
37:27Any resurgence?
37:28Any sort of victory there?
37:30Yeah, it is done on 10th and the result yet to be announced on tomorrow, 13th.
37:38And as we discussed in the last meetings, TMC is poised to get all four seats.
37:45Because we know it's a by-election.
37:47TMC, this is the government party, they are ruling.
37:52So, there is a lack of interest also I see in the opponents, especially Congress, left and other small parties.
38:00BJP is the official opponent here, but still BJP also a bit reluctant in fighting TMC.
38:10After the debacle of last election in Lok Sabha, how BJP shredded to only 8-12 seats.
38:18So, there is a misfunctioning, I would say, within the party, the leadership, the Bengal leadership of BJP.
38:27It's all happening and they are trying to get it over from it to fight TMC back in 2026 in the assembly election.
38:38But right now, I don't see anything good news coming up for the opponents.
38:44It's all TMC here.
38:46Right, it's all TMC maintaining its tempo also there from the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls.
38:54So, thank you so much, gentlemen.
38:55I really appreciate your time on this weekend and the beginning of the weekend here.
38:59And we wish you all the very best for the next two days and see you on Monday.
39:04So, that was it, the new edition of Editor's Roundtable.
39:08Thanks for watching. Have a lovely weekend.
39:10Thank you.
