00:00Coach, how's camping going for you in your eyes?
00:18Really good.
00:19You know, I think just like anything, you pay attention to the numbers, the numbers
00:22have been really good.
00:24But it's kind of normal, you know, everybody wants to know about the first day of pads
00:29and we look like we had our pads on for the first time since, you know, last season.
00:33So yeah, we're hitting the markers that you're trying to hit, you know, getting through the
00:39situations.
00:40You know, I'm always trying to really keep an eye on the young guys, particularly how
00:44they're adjusting.
00:45And, you know, we'll find out more tomorrow, tomorrow is really the first time we get to
00:49practice for 150 minutes and we've been on this ramp up schedule, so it's kind of gradual
00:54and so forth.
00:55So, be able to get into, you know, as they say, the dog days of modern day football.
00:59So no, it's been good.
01:01Do you feel it's tougher to get a team ready, like in today's, with lack of padded practices,
01:07no two-a-days versus when you came into the league?
01:09I think you really have to for older coaches, just don't compare it to the old days, because
01:14it's, they're comparisons you really can't utilize, because, you know, we're all operating
01:20under the same rules.
01:22So really, my focus has always been the efficiency of how we train, you know, the 11-hour work
01:27rule, you know, with the last CBA is, you know, it has given a lot of benefits to the
01:32rest of the recovery component of training camp, which I'm a big believer in.
01:38So it's kind of built in, which I think is a positive factor, but, you know, also you
01:43got to really utilize your time with your team, and I think it does make you efficient,
01:48because you have to not only practice urgency, you have to live in that realm all the time
01:53to really hit the markers you need to hit, in my opinion, in training camp.
