00:52was filed by the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, as he asked for the Supreme Court

01:11of the entire electoral process of July 28th, both before all the events leading up to it,
01:21the day of the election and also the actions that happened afterwards.

02:16initial hearings on Friday, where also around noon, re-elected president Nicolás Maduro
02:32is set to appear before the Supreme Court.

02:43Tarek William Saab, who is greeting the representatives who have been summoned to the hearing.

03:09The hearing has not yet officially initiated.
03:12That will happen once the authorities come into play.
03:20So at this moment, people are settling in.
03:25Let's recall that this is a process that initiates the complete investigation into everything
03:36related to July 28th elections.
03:48So we've been seeing all the different former presidential candidates appearing before the
03:55Supreme Court, with the notable exception of far-right representative Edmundo González,
04:02who was summoned to appear on the first day of callings during this week, and failed to
04:08do so.
04:10The tribunal has stated that failing to appear before a specific call of the Supreme Court
04:19could lead to judicial consequences.
04:23One of the objectives of this process of investigation is the possibility of all parties involved
04:30in the elections to present all evidence and all information before the Supreme Court in
04:38order for the tribunal to investigate and draw its own conclusions of the whole process.
04:46However, the far-right representative failed to do so at the moment.
04:54Now we see that the authorities are coming in.
04:56We are looking at Carlicia RodrÃguez, president of the Supreme Court, who is now greeting
05:07those who are present and formally initiating the hearing.
05:16Now we see how the authorities are officially beginning this hearing that continues with
05:27the process that has been open throughout the remaining days.
05:34And that is also the beginning stage of, of course, a longer period of time.
05:40Let's recall that the objective, the objectives of the first hearings is to summon all political
05:46representatives, also former presidential candidates, before the court in order for
05:52them to give their full account, full information, and all the evidence that they have to provide
05:58regarding the presidential elections, the entire process, and particularly the events
06:05that took place on July 28th.

06:19of this hearing.
