01:06We weren't even going to go with low cash.

01:10One of these days, we're going to make an album called Woods and Water.

01:14Well, hey, Preston, tell me about this, this collaboration with the Beach Boys.
01:18How did this even come about?
01:19Man, it's crazy.
01:20We wrote that song, and we recorded it, and it sounded good, and the record label loved it.
01:27And so we knew we were going to have to send it to the Beach Boys to get some approval,
01:32because they had a big influence musically on the song.
01:35And we were like, okay, so let's send it to the Beach Boys camp, find out.
01:38So we sent it over there, and, you know, those guys are, they're protective of their music,
01:44and rightfully so.
01:45So we didn't think it would ever even get approved.
01:48We never thought this song would be the light of day.
01:50And then about three months later, we got a phone call, and they're like, hey, the Beach
01:54Boys love this thing.
01:55They want to play it before they go on stage and on their tour, and they want to, you know,
02:02jump in the studio with you guys and maybe do a version.
02:04So we just went to the studio.
02:06Hey, I'm breaking some news right here.
02:08We just went to the studio in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and we recorded a version with the
02:13Beach Boys.
02:14That's so cool.
02:16That's crazy.
02:17Yeah.
02:17So they've been class acts, man.
02:19It's been incredible to get to know them and be in the studio with them.
02:25And so it's been great.
02:26That's really awesome that they even let you sample their song in there and everything.
02:30I mean, that's really cool.
02:31Well, they also said, you're not going to do this without us, so we're going to do it with
02:34you.
02:37I love it, man.
02:38Well, true.
02:39He goes, this is the easiest song I've ever written to you.
02:41Exactly.
02:42I feel like I've heard this somewhere.
02:44So, Preston, you were telling me kind of a fun fact about November 5th when this song
02:50came out.
02:51So what happened on November 5th?
02:52In 1988, November 5th, the number one song in America was Kokomo Beach Boys.
