00:00One of our salespeople, Carrie Ingram, who we knew, she used to work with us over at the old place years ago when the MJ Morning Show was on across the street.
00:11We love Carrie.
00:12Yeah.
00:12So Carrie Ingram sends out an email, just found this on the sidewalk outside the back entrance.
00:20Let me know if you lost it.
00:21And it is a picture of an Apple, it's an AirPod, right?
00:27AirPod.
00:28No, no, the name of it is an AirPod.
00:30It's the Apple AirPod, the little stick.
00:31That's the actual name of it.
00:33Yes, it is an AirPod, but it's the AirPod is what it's called.
00:40This is such a thoughtful email.
00:41Yes.
00:42If I would have found this AirPod, I'd be like, I don't care.
00:45Finders, keepers.
00:46That's because you're a horrible human being.
00:48And Carrie isn't.
00:49You're among the worst I've ever used.
00:50You can't use one of them.
00:51She's a wonderful person.
00:53And to take the time to send this email out about something this trivial.
00:56Guess what?
00:57You can use just one.
00:59Because in Manhattan, I'm walking down, I don't know, 10th Avenue.
01:04And I look down and there's an AirPod on the ground right in front of me.
01:08And I'm looking around.
01:09No one's looking for it.
01:10So I did find, this is walking down the street in Manhattan.
01:14I find an AirPod.
01:15I pick it up.
01:16You put it in your ear?
01:17I didn't put it in my ear because I don't have AirPods.
01:20Okay.
01:20So how do you know it worked?
01:22Well, hang on a minute.
01:23I look down and there's an AirPod.
01:25I pick it up.
01:26It looks fine.
01:27It's in perfect condition.
01:28It looks brand new.
01:29I put it in my pocket.
01:31Ew.
01:31I brought it home.
01:33And then listen to this.
01:35Two days later, my kids, who they leave crap everywhere, it was Chloe left her AirPods on a table, like an end table where the dogs can get them.
01:50One of our dogs got Chloe's AirPod, chews the thing up.
01:56She finds it on the floor, and it is mangled beyond belief.
02:01Chewed up, bite marks all over it.
02:04It's done.
02:04It's toast.
02:06And guess what?
02:07It was the right, and that's the one that I found.
02:10It was the right side.
02:12It connected with the other one?
02:13Dude, you can pair it?
02:15Of course.
02:15Really?
02:16You think each individual AirPod that's sold has an...
02:19The way Apple does business, you would think, hey, listen, you lose one AirPod, you've got to buy two more.
02:24Yeah, that sort of is the Apple business model.
02:26I mean, come on.
02:27To jack you around.
02:28So I took the AirPod I found.
02:30We cleaned it up with alcohol.
02:32And that was it.
02:33Boom.
02:34So two days after I found one, Chloe needed a replacement, and I had the exact side.
02:39It was 50-50, whether it was going to be right, left.
02:41And the dogs luckily chewed the right side.
02:44Have a new chew toy.
02:45All right, so here's the deal.
02:46That explains Chloe's cauliflower ear on the right.
02:48Let me stop it.
02:49All right, so here's the deal.
02:51Okay.
02:51So Kerry, one of our salespeople, puts out the email.
02:54Hey, found an AirPod, puts a picture out.
02:57And then I'm not going to mention any names.
03:02I'm not going to mention any names on the reply, but...
03:05It's the first reply.
03:06But it is a female salesperson here, who writes, oh, my bleep plug.
03:24You found it.
03:25Yay.
03:26Yay, yay.
03:28And, oh, my...
03:30Well, it's a word that begins with A.
03:36It then continues with SS.
03:37Then it stops.
03:42Okay, let me try to figure this out.
03:44It's a three-letter word that's spelled A-S-S.
03:49She writes that to everybody.
03:51Oh, you found my blank plug.
03:56That's amazing.
03:57But I think it was supposed to be a message just back to Kerry Ingram, who found it.
04:05You think?
04:06And instead, the female salesperson hit reply all, so everybody in our entire cluster of radio stations here at Beasley, Tampa, got the email.
04:21I mean, I'm talking about the part-time guy that works at the Spanish station over the weekend got it.
04:25The janitor got it.
04:26The lady who schedules the commercials got it.
04:29Everybody got it.
04:30Everybody got it.
04:31Here's my question.
04:32Everybody, yes.
04:33So, it's funny because the female sent it.
04:36What if somebody like Fester accidentally did that?
04:39Would you be in trouble?
04:40Well, listen, I thought it was hysterical.
04:42Yeah, because it was a female.
04:43And then people are responding.
04:45The next reply was, reply all is the devil.
04:49So, that's the next email.
04:52Oh, they started rolling in.
04:53After the person says, oh, my bleep plug.
04:59You found it.
05:00Yay.
05:00So, then the next one is, reply all is the devil.
05:04And then they just start rolling in.
05:07And then the salesperson responds, it was nice working with y'all.
05:13This is funny.
05:14I mean, her inbox is full today.
05:18Because I sent her a private email.
05:20This is just, this is funny.
05:21And I hope that, like, there's no HR issue.
05:24I hope that.
05:25Oh, they're better now.
05:26I hope folks don't go, but.
05:27I laughed out loud when I saw this thing.
05:30And it's funny.
05:31But there is a cautionary tale here.
05:35There's a warning that you got to be concerned with and be weary of and be alert about that little button that says reply all.
05:45Especially if it's something, like, really personal or, you know.
05:51Which you should probably keep off the company email anyway.
05:53That's the other thing.
05:54The company sees every email you send, even private ones back and forth to your friend.
05:58Oh, I don't send anything on company email.
06:00I don't care.
06:00Wait, they see those?
06:01I don't care where I'm working.
06:03I always use my own private Gmail email for anything.
06:06Whenever I send an email, I always say the name out loud that I see in the box that I've typed it to.
06:12That helps.
06:13Okay.
06:13Okay, thank you.
06:14Well, you don't want to hit reply all.
06:16And, you know, I bet you, MJ, there are dozens and dozens of listeners who have reply all horror stories out there.
06:23So, that's the funny buzz around here.
06:27So, again, reply all is the devil.
06:30Hey, I'm sure we'll talk about this later on during the show.
06:33And maybe we'll grab some phone calls on other reply all disasters.
06:39Maybe we'll get to that coming up in just a minute.
