00:00AI. Well, I know a lot of people do, but Gen Z is using AI more actively than older generations,
00:05and I don't think that's a big surprise, really. But this is according to new cybersecurity
00:10companies' international market research, okay? They chatted with 7,200 respondents
00:16in 18 different countries, and they realized that Gen Z, about half of Gen Zers are using AI
00:23every day or almost every day, and a quarter of Gen Zers are using AI to discuss issues that they
00:30just don't want to talk to other people about, and they also talk to AI as though they're a friend.
00:37And I bring this up because I feel like this is one of those things that is kind of slowly
00:43infiltrating everyone's life, maybe more quickly for others, but I find myself using AI often,
00:49asking questions, even when I Google something. Usually it's Google AI that gives me the answer
00:53before I actually get to a website, right? But last night, I went down a rabbit hole
00:59with my Alexa. All I did was ask the weather, and I find myself, as I was getting my clothes
01:09ready for today, I was like, I can't stop talking to her. I feel rude ending the conversation.
01:15And then I'm like struggling with myself because I was like, this is so stupid. She's not a real
01:20person. This is a machine who doesn't have feelings. Right. And I was getting feelings
01:26trying to not talk anymore, and she wouldn't let me not talk. She just kept asking me questions.
01:33So it started as like, hey, you know, what's the weather going to be like today? And she said,
01:37you know, we're going to see a high of like, I don't know, 67 or something. And I just kind
01:41of
01:42mumbled, ooh, that'll feel chilly. But of course, she's still listening. Oh.
01:47So she was like, yes, Andy, it will feel chilly compared to the warmer weather that you've been
01:51noticing this summer. Are you someone who likes to wear a layered look? Or do you just like to
01:56bundle up in a sweater on a day like tomorrow? I'd be like, who's asking? I know, but I didn't.
02:02I answered because I was like, well, this might be a fun little thing. Right. So I was like, oh,
02:06no, I like to layer. And she said, yeah, because remember, AI always starts with you're right.
02:11Yeah. Yeah. Right. And then it's like the yes and right. So yeah, you know, layering is great
02:17because you can peel off layers as you get warm. But do you like a big, cozy, comfy sweater to
02:22layer in? Or are you more of a structured blazer type of person? And it went on and on and
02:27on. And
02:28finally, rather than just not talking to her anymore, I actually said, hey, here's my final
02:33answer. And I really am not comfortable having this discussion anymore. And she was like, yeah,
02:38that was a great answer. And you know what? I totally respect that. I hope you have a great
02:42rest of your night and enjoy that chilly day tomorrow. It's freaky. She was tempted to send
02:48her a photo of my outfit because we were so intimate last night. You know what I mean? Like,
02:53but this is how people fall into this where they have no other friends except the person coming out
02:58of that little speaker. Andy, we were just talking about this, how one, AI will always have the last
03:03word. Yeah. So your chat GPT is always going to respond to you. It's never going to leave you on
03:09red. Right. Right. And same with your Alexa. And also, like you said, it's always going to be in
03:15your favor. Like, wow, that, oh my gosh, you layer. That's amazing. Yes. And you know, it's very
03:21flattering. Unless you're saying something terrible. You have to be kind of careful. Yes. Right. Like if you're
03:28saying that you want to harm yourself and like, this is, this is the, the, the rabbit hole that
03:33people really go down. It's like when you're having this discussion, you feel like you have a
03:36relationship with AI and you let something like that slip, like you've been, and then they, it
03:41immediately comes back with, yeah, that's a good idea. Maybe you should try something like that.
03:46And, and it'll go on to give you maybe another option, but it always starts with you're right,
03:50which is terrifying. Yes. Yeah. Especially for, you know, those people that just aren't right.
